Shapeways. Shartimus Prime did a review on them a while back. Very cool, but somewhat pricey.

The black MLs group shot inspired me to do something similar with East Asian MLs.
At first glance, I thought there would actually be less - but then I remembered/spotted a few more on my shelves.

I realise I'm contributing to perpetuating stereotypes by making the assumption that both the Hand ninjas are Japanese - so I chucked an AIM Beekeeper in there too because, well, who knows? Also, I know who is under that Xorn mask - but let's just say he's actually one of the Xorn brothers and not an impostor.

Okay, fair enough. It's Magneto. He's out.

Replaced with weak ToyBiz Psylocke. I hate her so much. I think I have 8 MIB which I may end up having to pay people to take off of my hands. I do not have the SDCC Psylocke and am very much looking forward to getting a decent one from Hasbro this year. I do not own Jubilee or Silk.

hasbroherofan 01-31-2018 06:20 PM

Technically you could keep Magneto since that story was retconned to say it was Xorn and he had made himself look like Magneto (comics are stupid).

This makes me realize how much I want a Marvel Legends figure of Shang-Chi. He's long overdue.

Amen to that. Do a two pack of shang chi in his red and yellow gi with head band and a classic outfit ironfist. Masters of the chi they could call it.

For real? When did that happen? I'll pop him back in the next iteration!

EDIT: Checked the wiki. It was in a later Excalibur series somewhere...

I was thinking exactly the same thing. I think he's the most prominent of the East Asian Marvel characters who are yet to receive Legends treatment. I'd also like to see Silver Samurai, Karma, Wong, Totally Awesome Hulk, Mister Negative... and I'd love to see Mariko, Yukio & Tyger Tyger in a "Logan's Ladies" boxed set. I guess you could also throw in Silver Fox (Not literally. Give her a space in the bubble and all that...).

Maybe Storm Collectibles will one day right that wrong...

I would love that, but unfortunately Storm would have to shrink him down a bit. Even though it would be Dee Jay, I wouldn't be able to handle a 9 foot tall Dee Jay towering over Sagat, Gief, and T.Hawk. =P

Took advantage of the Walgreens sale to pick up Medusa. Nothing great about the figure, but it's good enough. Now to find Black Bolt. I had no interest in the figure initially, but at that price, hopefully I'll be able to track him down in a Walgreens soon.

Just curious though, has anyone tried a hair swap with it? I'm not a fan of the masked look, and have been debating swapping it out with another to see how it would work, but I wanted to see if anyone else had done it (or seen it done) before performing the surgery myself.

Picked up MS Gladiator Hulk today. Dont sleep on this figure. Fits well with ML and the detail is very good on him. One of the best MS ever made.

EDIT: Huh... looks like the pic I linked to from another site was removed or blocked. I'll remember that for future. Anyway, I don't have an original pizza Spidey - but I'll gladly post a pic of 'squatch stood upright next to a few other figs once I've got him in hand.

Yeah, that's the Hascon pic from Oct I believe. In that pose with knees semi bent, he still looks close to 8 ' tall, that's why I think that standing fully upright, he will be 9' scale. Much appreciated if you or anyone else in the west coast that manages to snag this wave in the near future can snap some size comp pics of Sasquatch next to characters such as Brown Wolvy, pizza Spidey, Cap & big guys like Cable, Deathlok, Hyperion. Guys that are in the 6'6 MU scale. Then next to Manthing to finally see if they are the same hgt or not. I say Sassy is bigger.

MeLikeJinx 01-31-2018 09:19 PM

Damn, they went all out on that Marvel Select Ragnarok Hulk... cheaper than the BAF too.

donmeca2020 01-31-2018 10:49 PM

I haven't been too fond about any of the gladiator hulk figures. They all have the sad clown or in another world face. The only one that IMO looked great was the Mezco one. He had that ready to kick ass look. However that $135 dollar price tag pushed me away.

kenm2474 01-31-2018 11:31 PM

I'm Sticking with my Planet/King Hulk. They will never make one like him.

Planet/king Hulk is comic accurate to the original storyline unlike MCU Gladiator Hulk.

i dont like the new gladiator hulks. especially that horrible hammer it comes with and everybody loves to pose him with. i prefer the oldschool galdiator hulks

MeLikeJinx 02-01-2018 12:36 AM

AHHHH... I want that Punished Cap with the beard!

Well that answers the question whether Proxima Midnight is MCU or comic. I can't believe Toyworld has it already, I've never known an Australian chain to get stuff early.

MeLikeJinx 02-01-2018 02:57 AM

^ It's 40 bucks for one Legends fig though... damn.

Bonkers that this wave hits stores before we've even seen the BAF or pics of all the figs... or did I miss some news somewhere?

I think it is $40 AUD - which is ~$32 USD (or £22.50) - which, going by UK prices, is actually pretty good.

warmachine6 02-01-2018 03:21 AM

I think i will only get 2 figures out of that wave iron man and task master ! The others i'm slightly disappointed about but i guess i save money woo.
The BAF of Thanos is pointless to me , as they will likely make him again with the armoured version like we saw in the guardians of the galaxy.
They need to make 1 BAF Thanos with swapable arms one with and without the infinity gauntlet.
Hoping iron man has a new Robert downey Jr head scuplt ... heres to wishful thinking...
Wondering what wave 2 will have in store for us apart from black knight.

warmachine6 02-01-2018 03:32 AM

Found via facebook , and i have changed my mind might just get task master, i feel like this wave was a bit butchered ..

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. Taskmaster's face looks a bit wrong to me - but I think I'll bite. King Cobra and Songbird are musts. Why haven't they put Cobra's name on the box? It's not like they're swapping him with another member of the SS.

As for the MCU figs, I think Proxima looks good and I probably will get her. I don't think I want/need more MCU Caps or Spideys - especially if I'm trying to stick to the 1 of each char rule...
