Found the X-men pack in Target today... complete with a Rogue that had a Storm figure's legs and a cutoff headband. That's just wrong, man...

Here's some Sunday night New FF appreciation before bed. This is loosely based on the Wolverine 148 cover.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Except for the big boys and sharp ones whose transport is hazardous like Soul Of Chogokin, I usually drop the boxes and just keep the toys. I took the pic at our hotel before unboxing everyone, putting figs in my socks to avoid scratcing the paint job. Also, my figures are always intended for display, so I have little to no use of the cardboxes.

judging from that haul im guessing that toy hunting in France is rather fruitless.

In France, you have what's on TV, wich means we now have Iron Man 3, Clone Wars, Spider Man and the new Ninja Turtles. But we don't have much GI Joes, and Mattel never bothered to sell the MOTU or the Inifinite Crisis here.
But the biggest flaw in France is that prices are twice US's. I bought myself a Donatello for 8.99$ in K-Mart, and I witnessed him in a french ToysRus for 17.99 Euros (=20$!!). Same with the basic 3-3/4 figs (Spidey, Star Wars, Avengers, Joes) they never drop below 12-15 euros (15-20$) except when Amazon.fr launches a sale. As a friend always says: when you go to the US, you understand how we get price-raped in France.

a man after my own heart, cant wait to see your future pics :)
by the sound of it,those prices seem to be the norm across europe, they are similar over here in my country as well, the new ironman figures are retailing at 17.99(euro)but im surprised to hear that french toy stores dont have fire sales on the 3.75" figs that shelf warm for too long.we have seen many 3.75 lines drop below 5 euro.do you guys have tk maxx?

edit***just to be more specific, thats the new ironman legends that are retailing at 17.99

We have some "discount stores" but there are very few action figures. You could find easily some last year's Playskool stuff or very kid-oriented toys, but not much licensed ones.
Sometimes you can find nice -50% sales for Star Wars figs in supermarkets but they're very rare. Amazon.fr sometimes break the prices. I bought there some Iron Man Concept and Green Lantern Movie figs for 3-5Euros each.

Well I've got a good friend in London so I order some stuff on amazon.uk and ebay.uk and have it delivered to his home. Thanks to him I've been able to get 3 BAF Sentinel and a BAF Galactus below 70£ each so I'm very happy this far.

And as it seems the good place to share, this is one of my many attemps to display my first Sentinel; it's also when I discovered in shock that MU figs and DCU figs weren't in scale o_O

That's a sweet pic! Consider it dug.

Ha! Cool! Awesome guys, Thanks very much! :)

JanSolo 05-07-2013 12:34 AM

So one of my Walmart's just got the Blastar wave and a Target here just got team packs of WCA (4), X-Men(2) and Inhumans(1). I picked up the Inhumans pack. I'm so happy these seem to be showing up now. The pack I got is great of course Blackbolt was who I really wanted the most, but Karnak is pretty sweet. I once again think the body mold is too thin on Medusa, it's the same as Scarlet Witch, so I switch out the torso with an extra Invisible Woman I had.

Goldengreg 05-07-2013 12:49 AM

I have the same problem with Rogue and Jean, their legs are so thin that they can't stand by themselves! They're also somewhat deformed by staying too long in the box...

fa11enwing 05-07-2013 02:23 PM

passed by Time Square TRU, NY, so many MU Jubilees/psylockes, beta ray bills on the pegs (20 total pegs) with some ultimate spider, prof X, blastaars.

bought myself a Marvel's collector base- Black Panther on sale for $14 w/ tax from $20.

skywarrped 05-07-2013 08:31 PM

Slow day. Time to bust out some SHIELD agents.
