Lucky dog! When I was in Iowa last week I saw the whole wave at WalMart, except Initiative WM! Luckily I estimate I've still got a week or two before he starts hitting here in FL! Great score!

ebay package arrived yesterday, which gave me MU yellowjacket, blue pants thing, bullseye dark blue, and constrictor. all great figures, will post pics after work.

I decided to return the Armored Black Costume Spider-Man I purchased recently. The more I looked at it, the less I liked the armor pieces as I felt they made the figure look ridiculous.

This older release of the Black Costume Spider-Man looks more in-line with what I can picture Spider-Man using as an accessory. The Venom figure looks like it has nice detailing on it.

I agree that the black costume rocks. I like the design over the more traditional red/blue costume.

According to the bio on the back of the blister pack, this version of Venom is supposed to be Mac Gargan (Scorpion) merged with the Venom symbiote instead of Eddie Brock. I was under the impression that Eddie was the only host for Venom after Peter Parker rejected the symbiote but admittedly I haven't read Spider-Man in a long time.

That being said, I don't think the Venom figure is a fail. The tail is a separate accessory that doesn't necessarily have to be attached for display purposes. The detailing on this Venom looks pretty nice in the package, even on the included scorpion tail.

I didn't know that the tail could be removed.. but with me being a MOC collector, I would have no choice to display him in package, thus with that F___in tail!..... So for me, its still a fail! lol
