Anyone want to take my unwanted Lizard and Sasquatch wave figures, sans baf parts off my hands for cost + Shipping?

Good point. I suppose we could keep going with Alex, Lorna & Pietro, as they were in the episode with Bobby, iirc. Deadpool, Thunderbird, Banshee and Random all briefly appeared too. I'm sure many others. The show was full of hidden gems.

Actually, now I think about it, DP was just Morph having a bit of a moment.

RoboSnuf 02-02-2018 02:10 AM

Speaking of Random - here's a custom I've never quite considered finished. He was the last one I was working on about 7-8 years ago before my ... break? (Got a girlfriend, was moving house lots, had a lot less free time on my hands)

I was having real paint rub problems on the shoulders and wanted to add his tattoos too. I have since discovered that addressing the paint rub would have been much easier if I had prepped the figure correctly. Doh!

Still undecided if I'll ever do any more to him - but I'm keen to get back on the horse and have a bash at a few more.

Great wave imo. DEATHLOK is my top pick.

Just curious, is X23 on the standard sized female body, or on one of the teen bodies? She looks a bit shorter than the rest of the figures, but it's hard to tell since people tend to pose her kinda in a half squat most times.

I'm eager for DEATHLOK as well. I LOVED the Toybiz version, so I'm wondering how this update will be.

It's certainly looking like these are all upgrades from previous incarnations of characters (where relevant). I think the only things I'm not excited about are double Deadpool and Domino's strange purple guns... still, no wave is perfect - and this one is looking great.

Agree. Though I'm only getting two of them, they are both decent update..actually one tremendously needed update and one that is fairly better than the first release. Absolutely love that X-23, it puts the Toybiz one to shame (as well it should because while I do defend some TB figures, that X-23 was craptacular.)

donmeca2020 02-02-2018 07:18 AM

I got a feeling that deadpool wave will be damn near impossible to find in stores, compared to the new spidey wave.

I'm actually thinking the opposite. to me it still has to do with the coding. This will be the first wave with the Deadpool coding, whatever it may be. Meanwhile most of what we're seeing with SPider-Man is 2-3 waves ago STILL...honestly if Hasbro is going to do multiples of brands in the line they need to come up with a better solution. I have a feeling that is a huge part of why wave 2 of something is so hard to find, the GOTG 2 second wave being the only exception I can think of.

This makes more sense to me. Unfortunately, in the UK, what is on shelves doesn't make much sense at all. In my local TRU (about a week ago) they still had a bunch of Mockingbird, Sharon Carter and Whirlwind from the Red Onslaught wave (£20 each), ~10x Black Cat (Ult. Goblin wave) (£15 each), ~10x Evolution of Groot (£20 each) and a few Ragnarok figs (£27 each - with no sign of Ares or Hela). That's been the state of it since Ragnarok figs hit. They did have the non ML BP figs though - I almost bought Shuri. Almost.

Another toy store near me has about 5 each of the Bucky / Falcon exclusives (reduced to £10 each, iirc). Not a Walmart (or Asda) though. That's the only MLs they've had in since the Odin wave.

I do wish Hasbro UK and retailers could work together to get all their product out - and that TRU UK got the US exclusives... and that retailers would learn about the whole wave 1 saturation problem.

EDIT: On topic - Yay Marvel Legends! I only moan about these things because I lament at not being able to better appreciate more product more easily.

Well im thinking more in the lines of deadpool's popularity and how scalpers go after him like crazy. When the deadpool from the first X wave came out. I was unable to find him at all in stores. I had to resort purchasing him online.

We all know stores will order spiderman waves. They'll order more then one case im sure as well.

Sorry, I should have been more specific, I wish Hasbro would do a new First Appearance/Marauders Sabertooth. Isn't the rumored one supposed to be the modern design?

X23 has Nico's legs.

Can ‘90s Deadpool hold other figures’ guns?

RoboSnuf 02-02-2018 08:46 AM

Hey @LordMarvel - any chance of a closer look at Deathlok and Cable's BFGs? I'm especially curious about Deathlok's gatling gun... what are the handles like?

I saw a review on Youtube where the reviewer said he couldn't, but then had him holding someone's rocket launcher, so it might depend on the weapon, I know he has trigger fingers.

I ended up pre-ordering both waves. I have a feeling the Deadpool wave will be hard to find. Spidey might be easy, but at this point, it's not worth the hassle.

Yall see the Carnage/Venom Legends? Wow - Hasbro is pumping out the product! Both look Great!

Parademon1 02-02-2018 09:48 AM

Thanks for that pic Lord Marvel. Sasquatch looks to be 8 inches tall which I'm OK with but was hoping he'd at least be 9' tall. Oh well, still an great figure that I can't wait to get. Only thing bugging me about Deathlok is that it seems they put him on a smaller buck. He's a freaking powerhouse Cyborg & should be as big as Cable. Can you take a pic of Mr Manning next to other figs for scale purposes?

This week has been ridiculous for ML reveals/leaks/news. I don't think we've ever had this much news within a week, even over a convention weekend.

Re. Venom reveals - they look nice but it'll have to be a sweet BAF to get me to pick up yet another pair of these characters, even with the new head/hands.

Dr Kain 02-02-2018 10:00 AM

Not a fan of that Venom at all. The Carnage doesn't look that much different from the one I already own, but I do like the new weapon hands.
