Nope, unfortunately not.

So anyway I had to pick up my Amazon order of the Classics Turtles today because I wasn't home yesterday for the mailman. Before opening them I reminded myself that Donatello was gonna be crosseyed so that way I wouldn't be disappointed. When I opened the box there was Donny up top.....with straight (mostly) eyes.

I was so excited I quickly pulled out the others and what do I find????

A crosseyed Leonardo.

Don't open Leo... go swap him once your TRU gets their shipments (buy a good one and return the googly-eyed one).

Yeah I'm seeing that they're starting to hit TRUs now so I may just do that.

Iceman 08-01-2012 06:04 PM

These guys have actually hit Canada. I didn't think we'd see for a few months.

Awesome, which store was this pic taken at... if Walmart then I may have hope, as I target and TRU haven't been built yet in my area.

Looks like TRU

Scythe 08-01-2012 06:46 PM

Just got these from Amazon. So radical.

This is how I'm displaying them.

Someone from TFW asked:

So I tried to pose them up to match the cover since I freakin' love the way they looked there. Pretty close, I think.

It was a TRU but at least this means they are shipped here and the price isn't bad. I imagine they will show at Walmart. Now I have 3 out of 4 Turtles as the Donatello they had didn't have a good paint app.

Optimus Vader 08-03-2012 06:07 AM

I think I'm going to buy the new van today. I can't resist. Just making that announcement.

MegaPrime33 08-03-2012 06:56 AM

22 bucks? That's what kills me with new toys. These are definitely overpriced. I mean even MOTUC are cheaper than this. Well, they used to be anyway. Weren't they like 18 originally? Anyway, I will either end up regretting not buying the classics, or will wait till they hit clearance.

They're $15 at Target & $17 at TRU. That's been posted in this thread about twenty five times. I'm assuming that you're looking at the one picture posted of the guy who found them in Canada.

MegaPrime33 08-03-2012 08:04 AM

You're assuming I also read all 15 pages of this thread.

behindthemask 08-03-2012 08:25 AM

You could also order a set of 4 from bbts for $55. I personally am content with just trying to get my hands on the new 4 turtles and a splinter. If anybody can find some let me know, have lots to trade.

No I wasn't. I was assuming you read the one post you were replying to.

Whoa such a classic picture. I love that game. It was difficult but I did beat that game. Most NES games were nearly impossible to beat.

Well I chromed out the 5" shredder. I'm thinking of making a cape for him. Its too bad he had no knee articulation.

I used tamiya acrylic chrome silver paint. It can stand play since the areas painted are not in the joint areas.

Wow I really want those classic ones now. Damn this website making me spend money. Its difficult right now with all new mu stuff coming.

Maverick 08-03-2012 10:49 AM

My target finally go these in.Picked up a set plus a extra foot solider i think they look great.

T16skyhopp 08-03-2012 10:58 AM

Anyone have the footsoldier bike? Want to know how it is. How bad/good is that gimmick?

Colder Soldier 08-03-2012 11:47 AM

I just picked up a set of Classics at TRU. So happy I got to cherry-pick the best paintjobs. Set me back $72. They also had the sewer playset for the Nick line.

snake5289 08-03-2012 03:41 PM

Target finally got the new toon figures so I of course had to pick up Raph. Love it, love it, love it. My one eh though is that his arms stick at his sides. Doesn't ruin him or anything but slightly irking. Next stop Leo-town then Mickey-burg. I'm also really liking that he can hold his sais between his fingers (with very little surgery to his left hand).

Straker 08-04-2012 12:50 AM

Hey guys, I posted these on the TFW2005 thread but figured there might be some people that would like to get a look at the custom chains I did:

http://i49.tinypic.com/2vxhv09.jpg

You want 4mm X 8mm screw bails like this: 100 Craft Jewelry Silver Toned Screw Eye Connector/ Bail Eyelet Extender Finding | eBay

And some 4mm wide steel chain like this:2-5mm 12-36" Silver Tone Men's Stainless Steel Necklace O Chain US520616 | eBay

Then all you have to do is get a very small drill bit. You can get a set made by Dremel that contains a VERY thin bit that I used. Just slightly smaller than the diameter of the screw threads on the bail. Drill in, then thread the bail in. I also took the bail back out so I could sand and sort of buff the plastic so you can't see where I cut the chain off. Pretty easy. This plastic is kinda waxy and actually sands pretty easy. 320 grit followed by 600 grit and literally used my t-shirt to buff the plastic smooth. then I put the bails back in and it looks pretty much factory.

For Michelangelo's kusari-gama I originally put a matching 25 links on the chain like the toy but 35 works better I think. I also stepped his chucks up to seven links instead of five. Works better. Did Donnie's three piece bo with new chains as well and replaced the blade on his bladed bo with a spare short blade I took off of one of Leo's short swords. It was a spare because I accidentally made a white stress mark at the base of the blade when I was trying to take it out of the package.

Anyway, there's the mod guys. Spread the word for an easy chain upgrade to your weapons. ^_^
