Got it and my thoughts are... I am glad I got in on the new ones. Scar, celtic, spiked, etc. I like elder because of the nostalgia and the effort that obviously went into his creation. All the necklaces, accessories and stuff. He isn't on the same level as the new style in my opinion. I just like the new ones I guess. Still a cool predator.

Anyone who is interested i just saw today the new series is now available on Neca's Ebay and Amazon store in limited quantities. i just jumped on the spiked tail and bought it off of their ebay store.

Got these both the last few days. spiked tail arrived this afternoon, Albino came i believe monday.

i haven't opened either yet... Spiked tail his paint looks awesome, comes with one weapon and his helmet. I'm sure when i do open him, he'll look great next to the rest of the bad boys.

Albino i bought him when they had that clearance sale a week ago. i recall seeing him for $150 or so via ebay, i was able to land him for $30 bucks plus shipping via Neca.

I am ready for them to hit retailers as I have mine pre-ordered. I am looking forward to it though

I hear that. I've had the Scarface Predator on Pre-Order with BBTS since it was announced and I have a bunch of stuff in my Pile of Loot ready to ship as soon as he comes in stock. I can't wait!

Yesterday on Twitter NECA teased Broken Tusk with some new images! We'd already been teased with him before when they had that picture with like 8 predators in baggies from the factory but there's no confusing these shots.

I'm so excited for this one. He's been on my figure wishlist ever since I read the original AvP comic by Dark Horse. NECA really makes wishes palpable!

I look forward to seeing what they are up to.

Broken Tusk / Dachande is really good news. I mean we knew it was happening eventually, but the teasers are making me happy.

He has one of my favorite Predator designs and his weapons are ace too. Love his blade staff and I kinda like him using a gun as opposed to a plasma caster.

I wonder if he’s going to be an Ultimate release? The figure would be kinda incomplete without an unmasked head, but two heads for a regular retail wave figure seem a bit heavy, especially if he comes with the huge staff. And he has the more traditional looking bio mask so a clip on mask won’t work.

Also I wonder what color his mask will be. I remember reading the reprint in the Omnibus and his mask was either the same green as his armor or a light gray, but looking it up shows me he has a golden mask? Did they change the colors later or something?

And lastly: How cool would it be if there’s actually a Machiko in the same wave? I’d love to see that.

S I stopped in the TRU over the weekend and got a first hand look at the series 16 predator. I was impressed and dissappointed. Spiked tail looks amazing and I was surprised by the stalker predator. I was really dissappointed with ghost though. I was most excited about Ghost originally but seeing it in person made it the least desireable. FirstI didn't care for the pearly color, but most of all I couldn't believe that they had let the body sections go as they did. The upper body section and lower body sections were visibly mismatched. Maybe it was just the ones in the store but it looked terrible. The lower was orangish while the top was more white and it looked really bad. I like the other two though. I am going to get the GLowing alien to go with stalker.

Has anyone had any breakage or QC issues with series 16? I'm about to pull the trigger on Spiked Tail today, but I know a few people on here were posting about having severe issues. I'm wondering what percentage of good to bad we're looking at for this wave.

Look at Spiked Tail's hips. If they're brown then that means they were painted over and it'll very likely break at the hips, this happened to my first Spiked Tail and every one I've seen reported broken through Twitter. I got another one that had the appropriate vanilla colored hips and that one was fine except that the left wrist joint can unplug at the gauntlet but thankfully it plugs back on firmly and holds. I'd really advise on not ordering one online because then you can't inspect it and the dangerous brown hips seem common enough that an online order could definitely have them.

Oh man, I didn't get a chance to get back to this thread and see your reply before I'd purchased one. Fortunately mine ended up being fine despite having the brown hips you mentioned.

Before I even attempted to pose him I applied liberal amounts of heat from a hair dryer to loosen the joints up. I also ended up getting a really loose left hand at the gauntlet joint, but the super glue trick worked wonders to keep it from slipping off.

I guess I really lucked out on this one!

Good to hear. I still think the figure looks rad as hell (even after my personal experience with it), I used to love playing the Quake games and Spiked Tail really reminds me of them.

I saw the Clan Leader and Scarface at my local TRU and snatched them up. I fell behind on my Pred collection and missed out on the AVP Predators, so this is my first time getting to mess around with the new, larger buck. Scarface is amazing, whatever material Neca is using for their figures now, I hope they stick with. I used to spend a *looot* of time gingerly cutting apart packaging hoping the Predator inside didn't break (I'm looking at *you* V1 Elder!) and then even more time wincing every time I tried to work all the joints without snapping them... with varying degrees of success.
Didn't run into any of that with Scarface, he popped right out of the package and I got all the joints working without any issue. The paint is great, I love the grungy, weathered look of his armor. I sincerely hope they make the rest of the Preds from the game now.

Clan Leader, on the flip side unfortunately, looks great but suffers from NECA's signature paint lock issues. The only thing keeping the joints in his bicep and thighs from snapping is the more forgiving material they're using, but I fear them shearing in two if I twist any more. No amount of hot water or hair drying seemed to do the trick, though on one my more ambitious attempts to work the thigh joint caused him to pop apart at the waist in a hilarious Bishop impression. Hopefully the one I got was the exception and not the rule, but if you're in this thread I'm sure you're well aware of Neca's QC is consistently *inconsistent*, so tread with caution as usual with this guy.

Anyone know what the average price for Masked Scar is? He's a bit pricey on Amazon.

His retail was only just above $20 but that was at retail. Unfortunately that isn't a new figure anymore so none of the main online stores (NECA's eBay store, BBTS, EE, ToysRUs.com, etc.) have it in stock (I don't know if BBTS ever sold him individually). Sadly all you can do for a better price now is peruse eBay's offerings but from a quick search I don't think you're likely to find one for a deal.

He's around $42 on Amazon but I found Scarface for cheaper and I'll probably just go with him.
