You guys ready to hunt down the TRU MP soundwave? :p

Falconhood 05-04-2013 06:28 AM

Superman is popping up at Wal-Marts in Raleigh.
KreO Star Trek is at TRU, but in N.Ral TRU I saw no $5.99 ships, and no Battle Pods yet.

nccollector 05-07-2013 10:05 AM

Stopped by the Kmart in Raleigh and found, up near the registers, the new Movie Masters Man of Steel Figures. Glad I saw them when i came in because there were none in the Toy Department. They also must have just put out one box, because i got a Jor-El which was suppose to be one per box. These are about the only "Man of Steel" figures that I think I will purchase, except the 18" NECA figure.

mj3141x 05-08-2013 10:44 AM

Found some of the Man of Steel line at the Walmart in Apex last night. No Movie Masters but I did pick up the 3 3/4 inch basic Superman and General Zod figures, mainly to go with my movie style Batman and Green Lantern stuff. The Walmart at Triangle Town Center had the section set up for it last week but not much product at the time. I'm probably going by there again tonight.

mj3141x 05-09-2013 01:50 PM

I did find a healthy display of Man of Steel figures at the Super Walmart at Triangle Town Center last night. They had the Walmart exclusive light-up figures which the Walmart in Apex did not have. I picked up the Heat Vision Superman and it's actually a pretty cool figure with some nice accessories. Has anyone seen anything different at Target or Kmart in the 3 3/4-inch scale? I was wondering if all the stores would have their own exclusives but I haven't seen much about it online.

What size were the Walmart Exclusive Man of Steel figures?

I have seen the Walmart's carrying the 3 3/4" and other types. I like the figures that at least have knee, arm, elbow and shoulder articulation. For example, the Marvel Universe figures, but the Iron Man, Dark Knight and the new Man of Steel figures do nothing for me.

I did spot another large selection of the Movie Master Man of Steel figs at the Kmart on Western Blvd.

Falconhood 05-09-2013 04:46 PM

I found Star Trek Battlepods at TRU in N.Raleigh!

Falconhood 05-10-2013 03:49 AM

is that in MAY? I completely forgot about it.

i did not know about that also. i just went to visit Henry at Stuff-n-such at Cary. and they told me there is upcoming convention which is the Animazement. May 23-26. i never went really to a convention and i think Animazement is a big one here in NC.

pacozord 05-11-2013 07:23 AM

Animazement is a great show! It's pretty expensive, but I usually try to go on Sunday. They haven't posted a schedule yet, but they usually have Power Rangers and Tokusatsu panels. The dealer's room is pretty big. Last year I found a lot of Sentai toys, but the prices were very high. Lots of fun though and cool stuff!

Falconhood 05-11-2013 11:07 AM

I've gone before, but alone. It would be fun if i had friends.
I found some stuff in Wake Forest today, but I got the last of TFs and left a HW Star Trek ship
Finally found the Hot Wheels Star Trek ship and bought
http://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.ne...15142471_n.jpg
And thanks to a friend, ScottyP, I knew to look for these, and bought them
Transformers Springer and Blitzwing
http://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.ne...73893183_n.jpg
and after debating on this guy for an hour (it seemed) i bought him too. You have to be careful, some have BAD face paint. this one was perfect
http://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.ne...51741778_n.jpg
that's my sightings for today,
I also saw some Monster University.
http://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.ne...79325012_n.jpg
at Target in Wake Forest, NC, but didn't buy it. So this is not a HAULS thread, but ...why not use pictures to convey findings in NC?
i posted more of the Monsters University on AFA

The Walmart exclusive MOS figures I was talking about were the 3 3/4-inch light-ups, similar to the Green Lantern boxed light-up figures that were Target exclusives. I bought the heat vision Superman which is actually pretty cool. I think there was a blue Krypton power one, a yellow solar power one, and a General Zod that lit up red. They were $9.99 each. And yeah, the articulation is very similar to the Green Lantern figures except the elbows bend in addition to having ball joints for the shoulders and the heads have a slight ball-joint motion to them although with a very limited range of motion. I haven't tried to pop one off yet to see how they're attached. But I think the Green Lantern figures twisted at the waist...I don't think the MOS ones do but they might. But no, nowhere close to the Marvel Universe figures in terms of articulation. Paint app is decent on the line but still spotty. I had to dig through multiples to find ones that I liked quality-wise but then I always tend to do that.

mj3141x 05-13-2013 10:49 AM

This is probably a little late to help anyone but the new Target in Holly Springs had two each of the Springer and Blitzwing Voyager-class Transformers Generations figures Friday night. They were $22.99 each and looked awesome.

Falconhood 05-13-2013 02:42 PM

Found the Hot Wheels USS Enterprise at Target this week-end. Happy Hunting!

nccollector 05-14-2013 09:18 AM

Picked up the new Iron Man 3 Minimates at Atomic Empire (SciFi Genre) in Durham. Looking for the TRU exclusives now.

nccollector 05-16-2013 09:52 AM

Hit TRU in Cary at lunch, found the TRU exclusive Iron Man 3 Minimates. Also picked up the Star Trek Attack Pods Enterprise.

Got them also there. At 3pm. Bought 1 each but the paint jobs are not good. For the whole set i like the heartbreaker armor pack.

Marvel legends wise-- saw 4 ultimate cap. And old roml series 1 and 2 figures. Marvel universe found dark hawk? No other new figures.

At the back of the game section, saw predator dutch figures. No classic one. Lady who's working there said if its nothing in the aisle they dont have it on back. :/

Have a good day my good sirs

Do they sell play arts figures? Busts? 1/6 scale figures like hot toys?? I never been in that con. Thanks for the headsup sir

pacozord 05-17-2013 07:51 AM

There is a wide variety of stuff at Animazement on sale. Really depends on the dealers, since it has a focus on Anime. Anything Anime related, they'll probably have.

thank you for the information. are you going? i haven't been there. but i still don't know, entrance for it is quite expensive. i'm not really interested with the programs. i just want to see the figures they have for sale.

pacozord 05-18-2013 08:39 PM

If all goes as planned, I'll be going on Sunday for the $20 registration cost. Is there anything I can check out for you?

nccollector 05-21-2013 10:14 AM

Went by the Kmart on Fayetteville Rd. in Raleigh at Lunch.
Picked up all 4 TMNT, with Splinter and found an April O'Neal on a Splinter Card.
I had the original ones back in the '80's, but these have a little more articulation.
I was only going to purchase if I found all 4 at once.

Disney Stores at Crabtree Mall. They have the Marvel Legends Hit Monkey Wave.
Fuquay Walmart: Marvel Universe Angel, Hulk, Nighthawk, puck, beast. No professor X or jubilee. they also those hot wheels Fast and the furious cars. still no sign for movie masters Superman.
