So pissed at the Marvel Animation folks for this. Every week now I get pumped for the new episode only to get bummed because the looming cancellation is present in the back of my mind. Fuck Loeb and his ADHD Spider-Man series.

Not sure if it will work but it might be worth a shot.

It's completely capable of stand alone episodes, no cancellation and replacement nessisary!
In fact, adding stand alones to story arc heavy series is a great way to help open a series up even further.
In fact, it already DOES THIS.

And since when did Jeff Loeb suddenly think he's Bruce Timm, anyway?

HAHA!

Read this whole interview and maybe you can figure out this guy's malfunction. You'd think after the fiasco that was "Heroes" he'd stay far away from TV, but no.

Apparently Marvel deals with this guy the way the two Bob's at Initech handle poor performance; give him a promotion because he obviously just needed to be challenged more (Office Space reference for anyone curious).

UPDATED Rumor: Marvel cancelling Avengers Earth Mightiest Heroes in favor a new show inline with Ultimate Spider-man

There seems to be a sort of reverse logic in your statement at the end. The Timmverse seemed to work in a stand alone fashion at first then to season long arcs with Justice League Unlimited. But yeah I agree and Marvel seems to cancel stuff before it has a chance to get its legs or even after it has

You shouldn't have to give the reference because if you haven't seen Office Space enough, or at all, to get references like that you should turn off the porn and go watch it NOW! or I might send Michael Bolton to your house, and you know he knows how good it feels to be a gangsta

Actually, the two statements weren't nessisarily related.
The Timm statement was more because Loab suddenly seems to think he's the be-all end-all lord and master of this terriffic MAU, crafting these wonderful things like he's Bruce Timm, Marty Isenberg, Greg Weis, or Chris Yost (Who's responcible for EMH, as well as many of Marvel's better written animated series as of late).
I chose to use Timm, because of how beloved and well crafted the DCAU is (As well as the DC animated movies, which he's behind as well)

I'm going to go smash a copier now after I grab a cup of coffee.

He's def. no Chris Yost, love Chris's work, I can see his style in the first season EMH and reminds me a bit on his work on X-Force.

I know they weren't directly connected just saw a kind of logical irony in the statement that is all and as far as Timm goes he is the man and I would watch just about anything he has any creative interaction with

Crazy Jetty 05-16-2012 10:07 AM

Yeah. I knew it was choppy when I posted it, but I just couldn't figure out any segway.

I just watched it!!!

Prem1x 05-17-2012 08:30 AM

Signed.

This season has been great for introducing more of the Marvel Universe. Can't wait for Beta Ray Bill episode.

Crazy Jetty 05-17-2012 08:50 AM

This to me is absolute proof that Marvel is deadset and hellbent on destroying anything they have that's actually any good.
If something's got good quality in terms of writing, they cannot leave it alone.

I think Loeb is actually a secret agent sent by DC to sabotage Marvel from the inside.

The only way he can truly be stopped is for marvel to announce a secret agent series starring Jeph Loeb as a saboteur and letting him write it himself. He will destroy himself in one quick, but painful, 5 issue Story arc and the world of Marvel will be safe again...until the next "Big Event".

Exodus 05-17-2012 09:17 AM

Just saw the latest episode, seriously Hulk in this series is my favorite, they need to do a stand alone story with Hawkeye and Hulk, those two are great together and hilarious.

afterschooltoys 05-19-2012 08:37 PM

Marvel has such a strangle hold on their real mony maker (movies) that they feel they can play around with the animated properties and not get hurt. Sadly we are going to loose a great show.

so far my fav episode was the ant man one..

snake5289 05-20-2012 01:35 PM

Today's episode is officially my favorite episode so far. Thor's return, more Asgard, Beta Ray Bill awesomeness, and the looming threat of Surtur. Can't wait to see more.

Crazy Jetty 05-20-2012 01:50 PM

Yes. I think today's episode is the best of the whole series.

NoodleChow 05-20-2012 02:27 PM

oh man, MU Beta ray Bill can't get here soon enough. also seeing sif in action was pretty sweet. wicked episode.

bmorr 05-20-2012 03:21 PM

avengers heroes united toon

What is your feedback on this cartoon? I don't hear much from peeps about this toon. But I have to say that I really enjoy it. I love how they are combining a lot of story lines into it. Not to mention a bunch of cool cameos from other heroes and villians. This is a great toom and other than the kinda cartoony look of the characters(why couldn't they make more realistic animation? Or cgi. But more realistic?why? Why?...)I love it. I hope it continues for a long time.
