Someone else pointed out on the regular appreciation thread (can't remember who) these corps figure bots would make great mandroids and I agree. At $8 they don't look bad.

At 8 bucks their perfect and at least you know Walmart will have plenty in stock

kylactus 09-07-2015 06:38 PM

seriously, I know the corps isn't the highest quality line, but how the hell can they afford to sell these at 8$ while Hasbro complains that they have to up prices on single figures to 12 or so, while cutting articulation to maintain profits? if this same set had a legit shield trooper and a few shield logos on the mandroid this would easily be a 30$+ set from Hasbro.

They probly would do that.I'd like to see the backing and inside of this thing and feel how the plastic is. I think there's a tank and helicopter set from this line that are about 30 $ but they come with plenty of extras too.

Universe 09-07-2015 08:58 PM

I bought these tonight and they scale super well and the plastic is nice and durable. Hasbro's excuse runs thin:

I love this pic dude, in fact, I don't thing I've seen a pic of yours I didn't like.

Universe 09-08-2015 05:25 AM

Thank you Pilkster! I love your awesome heads! This wouldn't be possible without you :)

Anyone here backing the Grimskull 4" Kickstarter? Didn't see this on here unless I missed it and I love me some 4" scale figures.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...ref=nav_search

I didn't back the Skeleton Warriors Kickstarter bc they aren't my scale choice and they aren't my style but the 4" fig Grimskull is very Marvel Compatible so I went for it. Hopefully they get their $ and they are doing OK so far but not super awesome (probably bc they don't have any good stretch goals).

I think I will also make a thread out of this one since I would love to see this figure get produced and I am selfish that way :)

I really like this figure, but I am not sure what I'd use him for. I only collect 4 inch figures, but to limit myself they must fit into my two major universe - Joe and Marvel or my two minor universes DC and Star Wars. So he'd have to blend into one of those 4 universes.

He can be a magic based jerk for your Dr.strange to fight with

That's a good idea. I was thinking maybe grandmaster too.

Iceman 09-12-2015 09:26 PM

Bruder Jeeps are good for MU. Could make a custom spider-mobile out of this one.

http://www.sandypants.com/shop/image...uder_jeep2.jpg

I think they are usually 1/16 scale which works well since MU and modern Joes are bit bigger than 1/18.

Autobot_Goldbug 09-12-2015 10:27 PM

I dunno I think 1/16 is slightly too large.
If only there were something in between.

Iceman 09-12-2015 11:57 PM

All the 1/16 stuff ive tried they fit in the seats perfectly. Sometimes they do look a little big standing outside. Even the 1/15 KITT isn't bad. None of the 1/18 vehicles from like Maisto or hot wheels csn fit figures. Motorcycles are often okay but still seem a bit off. Maybe if there was something 1/17 out there it would work.

Funny enough I plan to buy an extra specifically to use the head for a Simon Garth custom and the body for a Dormammu, Baron Moro or some other evil Dr. Strange (once I figure out the best fit for the body type).

The Marauder Task Force "Strike-Ops" figure is basically an armored Hydra agent. The figure is an unlocked stretch goal for MTF's Valkyries kickstarter. As a stretch goal, you have to at least pledge at the Aesir level($54) to purchase the figure as an add-on for an additional fee($18). The "Strike-Ops" figure will be shipped at an estimated date of October 2015, with the Valkyrie figures being released June 2016. The kickstarter only has hours left, so if you're interested act now!

Iceman 09-13-2015 09:22 PM

I don't think you need to do that kickstarter to get the green/yellow Hydra guys. They said months ago that they would restock task force figures in October and that would include some new colors. I think buying them in the Valkyrie kickstarter will be cheaper if you want all that gear but not if those figures are the only ones you want.

The figures look like giants in those.

Ninjinister 09-21-2015 04:45 PM

Anybody know where there's anywere on Cbay where there's cheap Force Awakened Finn figs? I need a bunch of Finn heads but I don' wanna pay $8 a pop for 'em.

You probably need to wait until after the movie for those.

Picked these up at Walmart, the women are great, nice sculpts and better articulation than what we've been getting lately from hasbro. I need suggestions on how to customize them int mu. Who would you guys use them to make?

mutantkind 09-22-2015 05:58 PM

The one on the left would make a good Shard (Bishop's sister).
