Not the best bar to judge against (plus, 'Pocky can change his size).

I keep sayin that Apocalypse is a fatty while the BAF is thin as a rail

Yes I'm aware he can change his size. Hence why we got a BAF of him. But I'm pretty sure Apocalypse chooses to be the bigger guy in every situation. If he was going one on one against Thor I'm pretty sure he wouldn't shrink himself.

Even (gi)ant man goes big when goin up against thor. Which reminds me. I really need a teeny Tiny ant man.

Jason Abbadon 10-14-2011 10:15 PM

'Pocky does the size thing as imtinidation, but when dealing with chumps like X-Factor, he doesn't bother.

I guess you'd say that the bigger he gets the less confident he is in winning!

That BAF version must have been him trying to frighten off Phionex or Franklin Richards or something...

Hmmm never thought about that. Although I have seen him grow against foes that should cause NO fear. But that was bad writing.

Heroclix- it's a better sculpt that the MU version and easily available for a buck or so.

Or amybe he was just showing off. The immortal types in marvel never seen to mature past a certain point- like typical highlander characters, their personality remains static.

Thanks for the tip. I dont know why I didnt check heroclix for an antman. I play the freakin game! Yeah I noticed that too. You think being a few thousand years old would allow you to grow up at least a little.

Jason Abbadon 10-14-2011 10:45 PM

Really, if you were a thousand years old, you're re-invent yourself so many times as to be a completely new person- much less to be wearing the same damn outfit forever!

as to Heroclix, I'm looking for a cheap new Sentinel (the ones from the last wave) so I can use it's head on a customized Real Steel Zues body.

I think it'll be evil as hell looking...

This is the cheapest place I know to get Sentinels

These two for me. I love the Astonishing version but I grew up with the Brown and Orange so I've always been partial to that outfit.

Without a doubt these three. Astonishing is all around best. RULK wave is best yellow tiger stripe. Brown is just too good iconic and classic to forget.

Astonishing Wolverine is by far the best one. But I think the First Appearance Wolverine needs more love. It's a pretty damn good figure from what I can tell...

Yeah he is a pretty good fig for a first appearance wolverine and getting first appearance Sabretooth is very good (Sabretooths 1st appearance was actually as an Iron fist enemy) but the one thing I warn about is his arm is prone to break. I have had 2 that lost their arm and also know someons who had the arm break in the same place the same way.

M3T4L V1KING 10-15-2011 08:39 PM

So, is anyone else super excited about a Stryfe figure?

Tiberius 10-15-2011 08:41 PM

Nope, fuck him, hes going to be taller than the Cable from Toybiz, it will piss me off.

Good. Me and Hasbro were talking about how to piss off Tiberius. And I mentioned how you hated how short the Toybiz Cable was so we thought it was a good idea to make another version of him and make it SIGNIFICANTLY TALLER. Mission accomplished.
