Nice kylactus. I really enjoyed the execution there. I want some modern now costumes.

He comes in a black box with a shield logo on top, but then it comes inside a white mailer box.

bmorr 05-08-2013 06:45 AM

What i like about the Fury packaging is that i can take him out and be able to put him back into the box safely.

I like that too, but it would have been nice to have a carded one as well.

That explains a lot, thanks i wondered why there was a black and white box.but yeah thats a nice feature, being able able to take a figure out of its packaging and placing it back.one of the good things about the team packs, wish they had took DC,s approach with their 2 packs.

Very nice. I don't know why but I dig Cyclops Marvel NOW costume. I think it fits his current role.

I like the red throughout.

Yeah. And the big X on his head sends a message. When I first saw it I thought it dumb and especially the X but I think that is just because we all expect the visor. Been using this costume in the Marvel Heroes Online game and it makes me feel like a rebel lol.

If they give us that figure it's an easy repaint to make him look like the new leader of X-Force.

kylactus 05-08-2013 06:18 PM

I know they'd never do it, but a concept series, like the IM2 figures, for MU would rock, unproduced designs, sketch concepts, artists interpritations, stuff like that in figure form. maby put some coments from the artist on the back of the card. Like the mcquarrie Star Wars figs.

To me that would be a waste of a release. Knowing that concept figure's spot could have been a needed unreleased figure...

Your suggestion shouldn't go farther than Convention/Subscription Exclusive IMO.

"Needed" is a subjective term. Who decides what's needed?

uberlad 05-08-2013 07:42 PM

While I don't mind occasionally exploring different looks for characters, I prefer new characters--with the primary focus that should be on classic/iconic looks.

Think about how sucky modern havoc is compared to the classic costume, and the modern was the one that got a wide release. Make the updated modern costumes repaints in 3 packs or team sets.

Don't make the mistake of blue and silver sentinels being the ones to see retail!

uberlad 05-08-2013 07:47 PM

I'm still waiting to finish my own new, all different X-Men, for my 90s cartoon X-Men, or a classic fantastic four, for classic wasps, classic spidey rogues, etc. before they should do marvel now or concept costumes. Unless they want to do superior Spidey :-)

Exodus 05-08-2013 07:53 PM

This is a very interesting case assortment, X-Force Wolverine Marvel Universe 3.75" 2013 Series 02 - Set of 8 - Marvel Figures (Hasbro) Marvel Universe 3.75"

salsa4datass 05-08-2013 08:12 PM

^ that is odd. weird assortment. it's especially weird since it says it's a july release and series 1 is 3rd quarter...

It's the revision case with Rhino, 2 Captain Americas & an Iron SpiderMan removed.

Marvel Universe 3.75" 2013 Series 02 - Case of 12 - Marvel Figures (Hasbro) Marvel Universe 3.75"

Looks like a revision to me anyways.

The fans? I'm pretty sure would want someone an Ares/Kingpin/Wasp/etc. instead of some Spider-Man unused concept costume repaint (how Hasbro would cheaply do it). The concept figures are what peg warmed the Iron Man 2 line to death.

Not knocking the guy, I understand his idea just think it would go over badly (which as he said it would probably never happen).

Unfortunately I could see them doing a whole wave or line of "Marvel NOW!" at some point.

Reminds me of the ridiculous amount of Wolverine figures Hasbro put out, in mostly classic outfits. While his Astonishing uniform that's been used for years now was only released as one of the rarer figures in the Wolverine line. Before it's recent MU release, that Astonishing unmasked Wolverine sold for $50 because it was the only time his very popular costume was released.
