Is King Loki the way to go for a Loki?

I've managed to go this long without a Cap, Iron Man or Thor; which is the most definitive to date?

evilanimation 08-24-2012 07:27 AM

you cut them off and sculpt new ones.

evilanimation 08-24-2012 07:29 AM

so went in on an auction with a friend that had a BAF Giantman...and we won, Yes and I only payed $50 for him.

I think he's my favorite all around Loki figure, but I do like the MU comic looking version too. I think if you want a movie looking Loki then definitely King Loki over the Avengers movie version.

http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/a...C/IMG_3191.jpg

As far as the others; I like the TRU Avengers base Cap, MU Modular Armor Iron Man, and SHS Thor.

Fantastic Score, I really want a BAF giant man but parting with $$$'s for one is just too painfull.

I can hold out until the Antman movie is out and see what happens then

The Antman movie might inflate prices though, it's quite a gamble there.

And, OV, King Loki looks the way to go there; thanks for the comparison shot

Do you get him from the waist down or the waist up? ;-)

..or since it will be a movie, there will probably be a movie line, which means plenty of different Antman/Giantman toys, and maybe, just maybe they may give us a better Giantman toy. I mean he has to turn into giantman in the movie right? Would you just want to see a movie with him only in ant form? What other comic series toys can be spawn from this movie line?

This was what I was thinking. They have to have him turn into Giantman, they really should have given us toys based on EMH.

At the moment Scarlett is using the one from her superhero squad toys. Which is cool anyway as it really is a fun figure.

I love the way a childrens line got giantman and fing fang foom in a decent scale and yet we are still waiting for hasbro to figure out a way too get him too us

SquirtleSquad7 08-24-2012 09:22 AM

Holy shit guys, am I excited :D

Just when I had given up hope on finding him, and turned to the interwebz, I go digging through a box of old wrestlers, and I find him! AH!

http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/...7/IMG_0162.jpg

I now have my first 3.75" figure in my collection :3 Literally the only thing I dislike about him is the Jackman face. and, his claws have A LOT of plastic between them. I'm afraid of fucking up if I try separating them though.

Anyone have any idea why he's so expensive online though? I would've been fine buying a new one if I had had to, but I saw prices of like over 50 bucks.

Where you at in Manila? My Dad and Step-Mom are both over there right now. They built a house in Tivoli (?) and also have a place in Manila (my Step-Mom's family's home). Just curious because I saw you're from PI... How much are MU and ML figs over there? Maybe I'll call them on their Magic Jack and ask them to pick some up lol...

I couldn't tell you, but it looks awesome! I wouldn't mind having that figure, that, or a muscle shirt one.

I go to several places to hunt MU's mostly backtracking. You cant hunt for the new ones(unless you missed the event and you are willing to pay scalper prices) here since the distributors set up a Distribution event for every 1 or 2 waves. 1 set for each person at retail price. About P500 each or $12. Same thing for MLs distribution events. Retail is about P900 or $20

Sorry bro- I just got told that my car needs new engine mounts- that $50 difference is gonna help (some).

But I'm lucky at retail- I'll still look for ya!

atilla 08-24-2012 09:49 AM

hello everyone! first time poster here. I have been stalking toyark for some time now and have been reading the last 100 (or was it 200) or so pages. I'm a transformers collector but have been uninterested with the latest releases starting from DOTM and have turned my attention to Marvel Universe and I must say I have been enjoying it. :D

@WoRkAh0LiC - I'm also from the philippines. We'll be having a distribution of wave 18 and 19 on the first week of September. ROML wave 3 will be released today as a bundle of approximately $125 without the variants. MU is still at $11 or so. :)

I need me a sig. lol

Jason Abbadon 08-24-2012 09:52 AM

Atilla, WELCOME TO TOYARK!
As you know from your reading, anyone from the philippines gets stuff waaay before is in the US or CA and is required to provide me with a Professor X and Blastaar figure. It's just a little ritual we do, really
Also, refer to Doomtron as "Doomtroom"- it's an affectionate nickname he enjoys.

Swrrt. You should take the whole family to dinner and let people assume you're a bigamist!
Maybe do the Peter Parker Strut from Spidey 3 while you're out....:D

No word from Amok Time on my order cancellation- I guess I gotta call them now....(boohiss)
