^ That bike is pretty sweet looking... maybe I should permanent marker the Black Widow symbol and just give it to someone else.
And did Gamestop just pay to have that back in black Deadpool as a timed exclusive only? That's so sad if true... so weird seeing it on the TRU website like that. |
Why would a secret agent ride around on a sport bike with her logo on it? Don’t mean it ain’t an awesome toy.

I have a friend who works in upper management at our local TRU and she has mentioned that there are internal rumblings within the company about possibly leasing out the video game and electronic's section of their stores to Gamestop...turning those sections into Gamestop outlets/express type venues as a part of their company's restructure. This would allow Gamestop to expand the showrooms for their ever growing number of exclusive items (most Gamestops tend to be claustrophobic shopping experiences as is) while giving TRU a much badly needed rub and share thanks to the Gamestop brand recognition. This could be a sign that TRU is indeed leaning towards that direction, however, that's something that is not likely to happen for some time, so I'm gonna stick with the idea that the Venompool is most likely a timed exclusive. Speaking of the TRU restructure, another thing she mentioned to me is that she had to take in a bunch of liquidated merchandise from other stores that were shut down, and it showed on the shelf, as Red Onslaught, Warlock, and Rhino wave figures reappeared in full force in the Legends aisle. As a result of this, her higher ups have told her to limit her ordering on all items in the coming weeks to try and get rid of the excess. This means my greatest fear with all of the Legends releases being stacked on one another in this manner could be coming true, with the TRU restructure only further exacerbating the situation. Every store will be different obviously, but there may be a struggle in the near future trying to find newer waves at Legends at TRU, at least until the current situation is rectified. Target, Walmart, and Walgreens might end up being your best bet in finding the new stuff in the coming weeks. |
It could also be that Gamestop couldn't fulfill there part of the deal and sell/order at least X amount and since they couldn't sell/order as many as they agreed to, Hasbro is giving the exclusive to another company, the one that will take any exclusive, TRU...
If this is true, then we won't be seeing too many more Marvel Legends Exclusives at Gamestop, so only time will tell. Just a thought... It stands to reason that Hasbro would put in the contract with a store for an exclusive, a provision stating they had to sell/order X amount or they will let someone else have it. My reasoning... I'm in an area that has GameStops at every corner, like seriously they are all over, and I ended up having to go to 5 different ones to find one. This was after asking them to look it up in there system to see if another store had them. When I got to the store that "had them", they never received any. 4 of the Stores NEVER got any, the 1 I got it at, only got 1 because it was special ordered and then the guy never picked it up or canceled. I did eventually end up at another store on the other side of town that had 3 cases of them on the shelf and as of the other day, they are all still there. All 6 stores never sold any except the 1 to me, at least according to them. One of the stores, a guy working there actually told me that Gamestop doesn't get exclusive toys, go figure. |
^ That makes a lot of sense... Gamestop didn't want to order more black Deadpools and Hasbro had to dump all the black Deadpools in their inventory on someone else... TRU.
Those Deadpools sold pretty well at my gamestops though... but not every store had them and the most one store got were 4 of them... but mostly just one at each store. One of my gamestops has tons of Black Panther figs though. |

It makes sense then that they would go that route with the TRU stores.... i recall hearing gamestop was going the same route a few years ago, and shutting down stores. |
Somewhat on topic, I am positive that Walgreens bought out some of the stock from the TRU's that have closed and that is the reason that ML are on sale for basically half price for an entire month. One of my Walgrens is jam packed with the Red Onslought wave, and they just popped out of nowhere.
