Was at Fan Expo Denver today. Got a photo taken with Giancarlo Esposito on top of getting a print signed by David Kaye.

I got to meet Sam Raimi today.

Sweet. Musta been cool to meet him!

He was exceptional. The way this convention does photos is like an assembly line. You go in, take the photo, leave. Sam, on other hand, was pissing the staff off because he was greeting each and every person that came in for a photo, asking for their name and shaking their hand. He would also start up conversations with children to make them feel comfortable. It was awesome.

Backtracked for the Black Adam movie Dr Fate because it was 25% off. I already have the platinum chase variant of the Injustice 2 version which works pretty well with the comic figures but I also like this take on the character and he can go with my movie based figures. The blue of his suit is way too dark and seems pretty much black unless I'm shining a light straight at it. The color isn't accurate but I still dig this dark-blue/black and gold scheme. There's also some nice detail delivered on his suit's sculpting, the lines running over him form many ankhs which are filled with various hieroglyphs. The eyeless and asymmetric helmet of fate is certainly a unique look that seems to have some mixed reception, but I found it to be a big drawing point for this particular design and it looks good on the figure. I don't think every other version of the character should follow suit with this helmet but I find it works here. My complaints are just that he came with no magic effect pieces and then on mine both swivels on his left wrist are stuck but the hinge works fine.
