Um, I'm pretty sure that is obvious. Anything I say is an opinion. Everything you say is an opinion too.

Although, I'm not sure why people should have to customize a figure they bought to make it look the way it should look.

Just judging by the pictures I've seen so far, the upper torso they've used for Dagger has a sculpted mono-breast, where the fabric of the costume is stretched across her chest, they've used that upper torso with Silk, Phoenix, Polaris, MJ, Vintage Widow, Jewel and most of the "average" build female characters lately, they even used it for the new Elektra and it's fine, it works for them and it's probably more practical and realistic anyway. For a costume like Dagger's with the cutout in the middle, they needed to use an upper torso like Hellcat or Ashley Barton where the breasts are sculpted separately, like they did with the new Scream figure. As for the painted collar, it's possible they're going for the more Mandarin/Nehru style collar she wore in the 90's

From the look of this picture here, it could actually be the Hellcat or Ashley Barton body. The breasts do appear to be sculpted separately.

I'm hoping that I'm able to keep Cloaks head is one peice inside the hood, because I plan in removing his body so I can have Dagger step in and out of him like she does in the comics.

One of the other sites had a pic of cloak's head and cape separate from his body, the Fwoosh maybe. Dagger's hair needs a light brown/dark blonde wash and her face sculpt looks like Mike from Stranger Things

Cloak has been designed so that Dagger could do that. His cloak was sculpted so that it could stand without his body inside to supprt it. Saw it in one of the videos from Toy Fair.

Edit: VM beat me to it.

SymbiSpidey 02-18-2018 02:30 AM

Eh, I'm gonna go with Hasbro Bishop. Doesn't have some of the finer details of the old ToyBiz one, but strikes a much better silhouette and I much prefer its headsculpt.

ariellagunas 02-18-2018 02:57 AM

Dagger is missing her gem/necklace. Thinner feet and more flowing hair like the comics would have been good too, as she was a dancer. But at least we are getting her at all.
Cloak looks great, I think they sculpted the cloak as a kind of portal, but I would have prefer the cloak more open and free flowing. Like Leonardi use to draw.
And I have a pretty idea that the Pepper Potts body can be customise into Black Swan, Shanna, Marrina, Namora etc.
Elektra looks great but the loin cloth should be smaller, or more flowing.
Sif looks beautiful and Scream is great on the Moonstone body.
Bishop looks perfect, the old one is great but feels odd with the hasbro figures.
Stinger needs an alternate head, and of course I would have prefer her as Stature to almost complete my Young Avengers.
And The Thing looks weird. They should have gone for classic Byrne/Kirby/Perez design.

Jerseysteel 02-18-2018 03:41 AM

I like they Toybiz Bishop better as well. Hasbro will always have the better articulation considering these are modern figures and the Toybiz ones were released many years ago.

Pravus Prime 02-18-2018 05:13 AM

So pleased to see MCU Lady Sif. She's been number one on my want list for something like 5 years now. That she's got a good likeness and looks quality is really good to see.

I was expecting to see the Thor, Groot, Rocket pack pictures or info somewhere by this point, especially with Wanda and Vision already on shelves.

I'm hoping the Hulkbuster/Hulk set isn't going to be too expensive. It looks pretty sweet and I don't have either.

That Silver Surfer though came out great!

I'm with you. My apologies to keep beating a dead horse, but Thing should not be that tall. If he's right at 6 inches this would be the perfect scale, however, I can almost guarantee he's 7 inches. I can see myself purchasing Thing because of my love for The Fantastic Four.

Overall, I am so happy with Toy Fair. I know everything I'll be buying and I'm making space in my shelves today.

SymbiSpidey 02-18-2018 07:51 AM

I'm not the biggest fan of all of the Spiderverse stuf we're getting but I will say...can Hasbro give us a 60s Spider-Man?! Complete with no webbing on the torso?

That would be such a fun figure to own.

I think you're confusing "have" with "want."

If people want to customize their figures that they just bought, that's cool. However, people shouldn't have to just to get the figure to look the way it was advertised to look (like Sharon's face). That is supposed to be the manufacturer's job. Otherwise, why not just sell the figure blank and let people paint in themselves entirely?

Why would I want a Spider-Man without the webbing? If they are going to do a 60s Spider-Man, it either needs to be an exact Ditko version or Romita Sr one.

Tarooster 02-18-2018 09:16 AM

Have to say I am overall impressed by almost everything I saw. The Xmen and Deadpool figures all look great. Love that the venom and carnage figures have the unmasked heads.

I haven't been a fan of the MCU figures until now but I have to say alot of this 10th anniversary stuff looks great. That Ronan and Hulk/Hulkbuster pack are both must buys for me. Really like the Scott Lang Antman in the 2 pack as well.

Tomax 02-18-2018 09:17 AM

does anyone know the size of Shuri basic figure? (for kiddies) that might work with 6" legends, she was small in the movie

I'm right there with you. On average I've paid about $12 for Marvel Legends. Since almost everything goes on sale at some point, I don't see why people get overly anxious over increased MSRPs. I say have a little patience and that figure you want will come down to a price you feel comfortable paying.

Looks pretty neutral to me. At most she looks mildly annoyed, which is how she often looks when she's dealing with Tony.

Too bad there's not an upvote button on this forum because you deserve a thumbs up for that post.

Anyway a lot of great reveals from Toy Fair. I'm most excited about the Marvel Studios line. I'm over the moon about the Red Skull, Hydra agent and Sif reveals. Does anyone know if there's any retooling on the AoU Hulk figure? I hated the hips and the arms on the previous version.

I do have a minor gripe with the line though. It's the concept of the two pack consisting of a new character with a previously released figure. I already have Mark 1, Hulkbuster and Civil War Cap so I have to buy them again just to get a new character.

Thanks for the heads up! I picked mine up on sale this morning.

Dr Kain 02-18-2018 09:53 AM

I'm kind of sad. I'm drooling over a lot of these new Legend reveals (especially Doc Ock) while my inner DC fanboy is crying, "Where are the must have DC reveals?" It's kind of depressing to think I used to buy 95% DC and 5% Marvel and now I'm buying 98% Marvel and 2% DC.

Even in the 2 FF movies & the original 90s FF Roger Corman FF movie, The Thing was portrayed as being a 6 footer. Now I never even bothered seeing the monstrosity that was the last FF movie that came out a couple of yrs ago, they probably made the Thing a giant in that one. But for this Hasbro Thing version, I feel they got the thickness/mass of the character right, they screwed up on the hgt again. Kirby/Perez/Byrne drew the definitive Thing IMO & as of right now, the BAF Ronan wave Thing is the closest we have to that version. That's why the best Thing customs I see are like the one I posted. A combo of Ronan wave buck & TB wave 2 Thing head. The TB wave 2 Thing Head sculpt is perfect & goes great on the Ronan wave Thing buck finished with a accurate paint job. Had they incorporated an ab crunch to that figure, it woulda been perfect IMO. Depending on if this new Thing figure is just 7 inches tall, I can more than likely perform some sort of surgery on the figure to bring him down to 6; scale but if it's closer to 8' scale, fuggedaboudit! This is how tall, wide, big, thick the Thing should be IMO.
https://i.imgur.com/um9AVfB.jpg
Thing by the great George Perez
https://i.imgur.com/3NH1666.jpg
John Byrne Thing
https://i.imgur.com/mefVjD4.jpg

I can only hope that the alternate Thing head looks like either of those 2 great artists versions so I can slap it on a Hasbro Ronan BAF wave Thing buck.

On the other hand, that Silver Surfer is a thing of beauty imo & we finally have the definitive SS figure. I just hope he comes with alternate fist hands. Also hope the Thing comes with alternate hands as well

damn, you give up too easy. youre easy to read. you are basing your comment on just one picutre of figures, wait till they come out and see them in hand or in a video plus compare them as well. there are some products that look bad in pics but look good in hand.

Collector Rule #45:: never judge a action figure by just one picture.
