Yup. Nothing but some ol' bullshit on Mattel's part.

I would've bought them on sight but noooooo they had to go and make them all 6 inch instead. Bastards.

I know the writing's a little dodgy but I want a show Supergirl figure soooo bad.

And pretty much everyone from Legends of Tomorrow.

Yea I want to like Supergirl it has the Reeves era movie feel to it but something just isn't letting it really be the greatness it could be. I think it's because of the girl power vibe their going for but its like their beating it into the ground already. Just my thought

Atom would be a definite must. I might stray and get a DCC figure of him if they make one(if they haven't already).

I think the biggest problem I have with shows like Super Girl, Agents of Shield, and Birds of Prey is the glairing shadow of the A listers, that for what ever reason they never show! Whenever a threat gets too big my first thought is "call in Super Man?" and it's strange that they don't have a closer relationship. if you and you cousin were the only humans on another planet wouldn't you stay in touch, often? There are times on AOS for instance where the references to Avengers are shoehorned in for continuity, and I'm sure there writers get whiplash trying to write around the movie events. I just feel like with the ability to produce real quality effects on TV and the fact that it seems like every big actor is trying to get a TV show for some reason, why is there not a BatMan series? or Wolverine, or Superman, or Hulk? it's like companies are hesitant to put the big names on TV, instead we get Gotham, AOS, Super Girl, Arrow, and Flash.

Madame Warlock 11-14-2015 05:00 PM

Call in Superman would defeat the point of Supergirl a bit tho. And they sort of already did that in the last ep.

snake5289 11-14-2015 05:16 PM

Flash is a popular DC character that makes for a pretty good show. Not-Batman...I mean Arrow not so much. I quit when they started stealing Ra's and the League. Just make a goddamn Batman series already if you're going to shoehorn Batman lore into other shows!

I don't think it would defeat anything! I know the show is pushing "girl power" like it's a new concept, but the fact is she's young, untested, and a bit naïve, If I had a female cousin that was 100X stronger than me, older, more temperate and seasoned I'd damn sure call her when shit hit the fan! I haven't watched the last episode yet (DVR) how did they bring Supes in? was it done well, or were they just talking about it?

Madame Warlock 11-14-2015 05:26 PM

It's not so much the Girl Power thing(SG's feminism is pretty weaksauce really) it's just that having a character like Superman would be way too over-powering when they're trying to draw attention to a lesser known but still important character.

The second half of Arrow season 3 was BORING. I'd advise just watching the recap that I think came with SDCC, then start watching season 4. It's great so far.

They showed his whole body swoop in as she passed out. Couldn't see his face but heat vision and then boom gone.

kylactus 11-14-2015 06:06 PM

I hate when they do stuff like that! you'd think he'd at least give her a "what's up?" or "are you OK?", It's just odd to me to have a Super Girl, that doesn't have Super Man around. I like how Flash and Arrow overlap, or the way the Marvel movies gel together. It would be nice to have four or five DC shows that cross over like the comics. they can still have stand alone stories, but have regular crossover and storylines and villains that run through all of the shows.

deathofthelines 11-14-2015 07:23 PM

Spoilers. Sorry for not putting that before

Off screen I gupuess he takes her home but didn't stick around to see if she was actually hurt or healing or anything like that. I almost died laughing

kylactus 11-14-2015 07:37 PM

Dick move! if superman pulled me from a car accident, dropped me off unconscious at home, then I had a pulmonary embolism and died in my sleep, I'd be pissed. That's not hero-ish at all! he should have brought her back to the fortress of solitude, or the JLA base (I'm not sure where the show is putting the full continuity of the DCU.)

There something I want to tell you about her and the fortress but its another spoiler.

kylactus 11-14-2015 07:51 PM

PM me, I don't mind spoilers.

I'm annoyed how DC doesn't take secret identities seriously.

Since iron man came out I can't think of any show or movie with heroes that they don't just give their idents away and seemingly for no reason latly. Hell even flash just told his ex his secret and she didn't even ask for it or anything.

snake5289 11-15-2015 04:24 PM

It's been a while but The Dark Knight is the only movie I recall where the hero didn't just up and say "Hey I'm whoever!" The guy that worked for Lucius found out but nobody told him so I'm not counting it.

The bit in Green Lantern about the mask doing a piss poor job of hiding his identity was pretty good too.

Sorry but the Joker with the hat looks like he's cutting one and the others just got a whiff of it.

Lmao! I like the way you think...

snake5289 11-15-2015 08:15 PM

It's a combination of the way the one with the hat is standing, the way the two on the right are looking away, and my 26yo man-child brain.

Lol, I couldn't straighten his legs to save my life. He'd fall back all the time.

snake5289 11-17-2015 09:42 AM

Got Injustice Raven in the mail yesterday and it's a nice figure and I'm happy to add her to the DC display but she's a character I've never really had any interest in. Didn't really care for her on the Teen Titans cartoon and the only time I ever played her in Injustice was to finish arcade mode with each character.

At least there were no stuck joints or breakage problems with her though. These tiny DCC females make me soooo nervous. I found a pretty cheap Wonder Woman/Grundy pack on Amazon that I may order later in the week and I'm nervous as hell about it. The horror stories I've heard about that Wonder Woman...terrifying.
