Been recovering from Surgery (already apologised to Mordiganne for missing their message) but at least it gave me time to revisit/rework some stuff and get a better Infinity war Thor wip underway.

What'd you do to the Winter Soldier Cap? It looks so much better.

Commisoned a head sculpt, lengthened the legs, sculpted the thighs/knees and added hands from the MU Captain Rogers fig. Throw on a bit of paint and done. |
Nice. I may need to take a stab at fixing one up in a similar way. His suit from WS is my favorite in the MCU.
|
i hoping they release a 3.75" suited figure in that fortnite line.
using a bunch of them as villains in my MU set up. |

any future Joe releases are highly likely to be a new and improved 6" line. it appears that the ACBA community is snowballing across social media. |

4" is still seems to be dying. No turn around looks to be coming. It's a vehicle scale and vehicles are too costly.
On a positive note, that Midgard Serpent paint job looks amazing. |
Disney just gave Mattel yet another license.

Goldman Sachs' claim of Mattel's interest in Marvel / Star Wars is "inching" closer to reality. Mattel won ANOTHER license via a new Star Wars 12 inch line. A mere month after Mattel announced its new Marvel 12 inch line. On the other hand Hasbro's horrendous 3.75 offering in both Star Wars / Marvel begs the question = can Mattel also do 3.75 inch?
Indeed their "Toy of the Year" winning Jurassic 3.75 line - can bring on the Devil Dinosaur, Fing Fang Foom, Asgard Serpents - all sharing similar scaled (no pun intended) dino parts perfect for 3.75 scale. If they can win a 12 inch license (twice) its no biggie for Mickey Mouse to let Mattel do 3.75 inch figures. https://images.mattel.com/scene7/GLJ...=1600&hei=1600 https://images.mattel.com/scene7/GHT...=1600&hei=1600 |
like obviously i'm not against non-posable 3.75/4 inch figures - i've been trying to print some(need to touch up my Dani Moonstar) and I really liked the Black Panther figure set. They're a good option for kids who just throw the toys around and don't care as much about articulation, or broke collectors who similarly aren't always as concerned. Additionally, being able to get the Disney Store type figures but single packed would be amazing - I don't want the whole Thor Ragnarok set but having Valkyrie and Hela would be great for example.
But to have it *in place* of the existing poseable 3.75' line that's been a staple for decades really pisses me off. |
