All i did was purchase a product and return it in the same condition it was purchased in..

Now if another online vendor has them..and its 10 bucks or more cheaper. Once i confirm they have it and can ship it, I will cancel and order. ya slow, ya blow... like Don Juan said, it's nothing but business.

oh those guys suck monkey nuts, but guess what...it will continue...

I've literally have had a preorder with BBTS for if i recall correctly, the rhino wave. I was dying for those figures. Anywho at time i was still buying comics at a comic shop and this shop got them ALL in prior to BBTS and dorkside. So i bought them all there and canceled my preorder with BBTS.

It's actually easy with BBTS, dorkside you need to call them for a cancel. However once again it's all business. No ones feelings are getting hurt nor is anyone going to shut down due to a canceled preorder.

That's not true. I just canceled my Deadpool wave preorder without calling them. I just hit the remove button.

I’ve been watching the inventory drop on the Thanos figure for two days in that store, so 100% they are selling them, probably to the employees. If I waited for the street date they would mysteriously be sold out.

That’s good to know. I don’t see it happening as the Lizard wave is very hard to find around here.

Dorkside has already shipped mine or made the shipping label. Being more of seasoned legends collector, i know that figures i really want, i just order the whole wave. No use "hunting" because some waves never make it on the shelves here in SoFlo.

Wait, tehy already shipped your Lizard wave? Then why haven't they done anything with my preorder?

I had planned on doing that, but then I realized I only wanted three of the seven figures. The next X-Men wave is 100% getting ordered online, it’s too good to have to worry about.

Thank you so much. I popped it in and low and behold the Wal-Mart less than a mile from me had both a case of the riders and the new wave!

They were sitting on a pallet left from last night right on the floor. I grabbed one each of Widow and Ghost Rider plus the 5 figures from the wave I wanted. I passed on iron spider and Iron Man although I may pick them up at a later time but I don't really care for the Thanos BAF.

And if anyone is wondering the Riders come 3 to a case, Widow is the one short packed so atleast Rider should be the easier of the 2 to get.

Dr Kain 02-26-2018 08:17 AM

Oh, I've been meaning to ask this for a while now, but does Sue's head seem to sit a tad too high on anyone else's figure? Mine has a bobble head thing going on.

I looked again the printing label was made. I know they already took payment from my account. So it better be getting shipped soon.

Spyne98 02-26-2018 08:51 AM

Is Dorkside a better place to pre-order than Big Bad? I have been using Big Bad for years and I have never had a problem until now. Me, my friends, and everyone here and myself seem to be finding the Spider-Man wave and Deadpool wave in stores and Big Bad hasn't processed my pre-orders yet. Hell, my girlfriend even found a Paladin at a Toys R Us the other day. I can't help but wonder what is taking Big Bad so long and I should use other sites from now on.

erastop 02-26-2018 09:20 AM

Price match

While I was traveling, a very nice, young WalMart associate let me PRICE MATCH a WM Exclusive BP figure!!
I showed her the price on the Walmart app, and showed that it was $5.00 at a different WM, down the road. She honored it, was like, "ok!"

https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4764/...d0d7674135.jpgprice_match by Erasto Padron, on Flickr

On a separate note, I also picked up 2 Thanos WM exclusives, different WM!

Boy Blunder 02-26-2018 09:52 AM

Only thing in stock near me is the Thanos... so I'm hoping he'll hang around for the rest of the week (payday can't come soon enough)!

Tarooster 02-26-2018 10:02 AM

Another Wal-Mart about 20 minutes away is showing Thanos being available so I'm gonna go and try complete my haul for the day.

Nostalgic 02-26-2018 10:09 AM

Quick note on my Thanos, the ab crunch is quite loose. I don’t think it will be a problem since he’s just going to stand on a shelf and look menacingly at my Avengers team. That said, if anyone knows a fix for that, I’m open to suggestions. Hopefully it’s not a common issue and is just a fluke with the one I got. I absolutely love the way this figure looks and I’m glad I waited instead of paying big for the previous BAF one.

On a side note, has anyone purchased from toywiz? I never have, but I see ads for them everywhere and they have a couple things I want, admittedly for a bit more than I’d normally want to pay. I’m usually up for a good toy hunt, but some comments from employees at my local Target stores is making me think some items will never reach the shelf.

It does. I dremeled the peg hole a little deeper on mine to allow the head to sit a bit further down on the neck peg.

As for Target, it don't tell me what the quantity on hand is now, so I can't tell if they actually have gotten in new figures or not. At least for Spider-Man. No Target has any of the Deadpool wave.

Make sure you use the assortment numbers.
Everything is received as the assortment, not individual figures, so that's why the individual UPCs will 99% of the time show out of stock.
The Deadpool/Walmart situation is a bit worrying, but could just mean they haven't been loaded into the systems yet.
There have been previous instances of things turning up and scanning NOF at Walmart in the past.

You should never ever buy from Toywiz, those guys are a buncha scalpers, all the way back to the days of Toyfare Magazine, and if ya buy from 'em you only encourage them :P

Are they scalpers in that they actually buy from retail stores and then turn around and resell, or do they just raise the price on certain items. I would never begrudge anyone trying to make money, everything is worth whatever people are willing to pay. If they are actually making it harder to find items in stores then screw them though. Just trying to understand, thanks for the heads up!

THe BAF version from AoU had that same problem.

I'm worried that if I try to drill a bigger hole, I'll screw the whole figure up.

Are you talking about Walmart or Target? Target uses DCPIs, but it no longer tells me how many they have in stock now. Like last year there were 3 X-Men figures on the pegs, so when I checked Brickseek, it said they had three. A day later, it was up to 11, meaning they had gotten a case in (which they did). Now, it doesn't tell me the stock on hand at all.

I live and work near Toy Wiz's physical store. It's a wonder I ever find anything. Just to reiterate what everyone here has said, take your business elsewhere. I used to buy my comics from them and I got to know the people there pretty well. There was one time that I was in my local TRU the same time as one of their employees. I saw he had 4 of a certain two pack in his cart, leaving none on the shelf. We started talking and I said how I was looking for that two pack. He looked at me and fully serious said to me, "well you can buy one of these from the store for -insert inflated price here-" (I want to say it was a $20 or $25 two pack, this was some time ago and he was saying the store was charging double the retail price). I hate saying negative stuff online, but seriously, I advise you go elsewhere.

That sucks, but at least it means I probably didn’t just choose a bad one haha. Minor issue in the grand scheme, I’m very happy with the figure.

That’s exactly what I was looking for, thanks for the info, I’ll be shopping elsewhere for sure.

There have been a few times when something on my Amazon watch list drops in price and then later I'll see they're sold out and Toy Wiz has a bunch for sale suddenly at 160% or more original MSRP.

I like both stores, HOWEVER you can't go wrong with free shipping and no tax on it. bbts charges both.
