A 6 episode anime series. It's from the guy that created the Garo franchise and did the character designs for Jetman, Kamen Rider Black, and Onimusha 2.

Nice! Is there a dubbed version? Ever since my eyes started hving problems its hard to read subtitles.

the Blu-Ray does have a dub on it, but I have no idea of its quality. It was dubbed by Central Park Media in the mid-90s, so I doubt much effort was put into it.

Oh gods. Im suddenly reminded of the gods awful dubs of the three japanese transformers series. Billy sparkle wally & marshall oh my.

Those UK dubs were pretty awful. So glad when Shout! released them in the US they were subtitled.

Got the new Multiverse Starfire in from Amazon, I was really anxious that they were going to send me Blackfire instead. Overall she looks great and the colors pop, there's some blurriness between the purples on her chest but it's acceptable. Mechanically she handles well with just a couple of main caveats, her hair limits her from looking up too much and her heels make balancing her without a base tricky. The effect pieces are a nice light shade of green and seem to fit around her fists well enough so far. For a "collector edition" release though she is pretty light in the accessories department, there are no other energy pieces, alternate hands, or alternate hands blasting energy.

Yup. I ordered 3 (one for open, one to keep and one for a friend), and no Blackfire either. Oh well.

I was saying I didn't want it to be Blackfire because I only ordered the one and I wanted what I had ordered, which was Starfire.

So last week I got Starfire from Amazon and then this week Best Buy saw fit to tempt me with a lone Blackfire. She's a slick repaint for sure, I particularly like the subtle purple wash on her hair, but there's some sculpted details that don't line up as a result of her just being a repaint which I will now bitch about. Her hands are in her orange-skin color but they still have all of the same sculpted glove details from Starfire. More obviously then she does not have her crown/face-frame headpiece at all. The recent page puncher Brainiac platinum variant has an entirely different head, would it really have been too much effort to make a new hair piece with the crown thing for Blackfire? Bitching concluded. I'll say it again, she's a slick repaint but man I am not happy that this totally separate character is a platinum chase variant. I feel like the platinum chase for Starfire should've been like how Penguin was still Penguin but in classic garish colors or Cap'n Boomerang was still himself but the White Lantern version, maybe they could've done her hair in translucent plastic and gone with the metallic purple and silver for her costume.
