Yep and the first 4 issues have been very... very... weird, even by TMNT standards. Like none of them seem to have anything to do with the actual comic. One was like this 3 parter Tex Avery cartoon featuring the Ninja Turtles.

Found NECA's Last Ronin Splinter at Walmart. Just as a Splinter design I really dig this vibe, but even then as a figure it's well put together. He stands surprisingly well on just his two feet for short periods of time and the tail can be used as a tripod balance, but I don't quite trust the figure to stand on its own in the long-term so I currently have him on a base. He includes a slew of extra hands and even alternate forearms that I didn't realize were torn and battle-damaged until I was opening it. In terms of plain accessories, not alternate parts, it's just his stick and the sword and its scabbard, but they are all nicely done sturdy pieces. It's a cool toy of an old rat samurai and it naturally pairs quite nicely with the Raph figure I got from this series.

The dude on the cover looks like the dude who played murdoch on the short lived macgyver reboot.

That's because he is. He's also Polkadot Man in The Suicide Squad, he was one of the Scott's crime buddies in Ant-Man, he was Abra Kadabra in The Flash CW series, voiced Calender Man in Batman The Long Halloween, and was the cop who shot at Gordon in The Dark Knight during the commissioner celebratory scene (at least, I think that was the public event happening).

I am unfamiliar with this movie. So guess I need to check it out.

Nice! I really enjoyed that movie as I loved late night tv back in the 90s. I would have loved to have gotten some more backstory on jacks occult affiliation and I hope the extras delve into it some more. The demons of some of the late night hosts of that generation were pretty interesting too.

Are we allergic to saying David Dastmalchian? Jokes aside, in the Dark Knight it was Loeb's memorial service when Joker took a shot at the mayor.

Doesn't seem like it. The TV guide talks about how he hates discussing his personal life but was really excited to share a few aspects of what his Halloween show was going to entail. There's also some "fan letters' in there along with other things like a pretty funny Star Wars review (attached an image of it). I posted it online to see who takes it seriously.
