So it would seem that Onslaught Wave Captain America makes an appearance in Jessica Jones Season 2....

That's kind of funny. They did pick one of the better Cap figures though.

Agreed! He's my Loki of choice, armed with the sword from the ToyBiz ML13 release.

There was no Street Date on the Thanos, so nothing was in the computer to prevent it from being sold before March 3rd. But buying an entire case is kind of a dick move. You know that is just going to ebay. Now if a new regular case of legends comes in and someone buys a full set and leaves the duplicates .... I don't consider that a dick move, just poor ordering on the stores part. If a shelf peg can hold 3 cases why do they only get 1 case at a time??

My local Mart sold all the Thanos over one night. But I asked and they scanned the barcode ( I had a pic on my phone) and another case was coming in like a week and a half along with another Infinity case and a Riders case.

was there ever a figure of Mangog?? Hasbro or Toybiz...a google search seems like it just shows customs.

No , Never a Mangog in all the history of Marvel Legends. I would be peeved if we got him before Surtur.

DarthKamen 03-08-2018 01:51 PM

I got my Hugh Jackman head today, and it looks perfect. Was even painted to match the Old Man Logan figure.

I was expecting to have to buy something like blue tac to make the head sit right but....the head is to small for the ball. That was unexpected.

Would sand paper be the best way to make the ball smaller? Or something else.

You could always dremel the hole inside the head to fit the neck peg!

Just go slow. It's really easy. I suck at customizing and even I can do that. Granted it would be better if all the neck peg holes were the same size but it's what we've got.

You could use sandpaper, or if you are steady handed enough, an art knife to shave down the ball a bit.

I advise against this though, unless you have no plans on using the body with any other figures. Building up the neck joint is much more difficult and complicated than having to sand one down, so it can a bit of work trying to undo what you have done if you desire a change for your figure.

I would do this, 1000x. If you don't have a dremel, seriously consider investing in one. You can use a drill bit to get rid of the excess, but for a minor job like that, I'll usually use a grinding bit, which can have the same effect of a sanding disc. They also won't wear away the head as quickly as a traditional sanding disk or drill bit will, making it easier to make adjustments.

A dremel is such a useful tool, and if you're into customizing your Legends to fit your needs, it will pay for itself a thousand times over when you find yourself happier with your figures.

Don't be scared boss. Any body who has taken a knife or some paint to their little 20 dollar canvases will tell you that **** happens from time to time, but that's how you learn and get better at it.

As long as you take your time dremeling the head, and do repeated fit tests, you won't ruin it, and even if you dremel the hole out a bit too much, there are still things you can do to correct it, such as adding crazy glue to the inside of the peg hole to build back up a base, or even something as simple as sticking a bit of paper towel in it to tighten the fit.

Oh, and wear eye protection. Seriously. Getting a piece of plastic or resin in your eyes is a bitch.

I'm glad that head worked out though...I told you he did good work! Whatever you do, show us how it came out!

It feels like dying is just gonna be Corvus' shtick until they actually use him for something again, it's just so easy to do when one of his powers is coming back from the dead so long as his glaive is whole. Though I do feel like Rogue was able to kill him way too fast since he gave Hyperion so much trouble back in Infinity.

Are they supposed to hit more shelves next weekend or something?

I'm close to the San Antonio area and I found the entire Infinity War wave at a local Walmart on Saturday the 3rd, but then my other local Walmart didn't have anything. It seems like a mixed bag as to which stores are getting them in yet in these parts. It's likely that with this being the wave for the next big movie that these early weeks of them being out will see them going pretty fast as people rush to complete their Thanos BAFs, for the same reason of this being the next big movie though I do expect to see the wave get restocked decently. In my area the Black Panther wave started out kind of slow (one case per store or so) but recently it's exploded all over the pegs at pretty much every store, I'd imagine we may see similar here.

Since some of you were inquiring, the Infinity War Thanos wave is up on Amazon with free shipping on orders over 25 dollars. Save yourselves the Brickseek headache and letdown...

I honestly think all Walmarts that show these figures on Brickseek have them, its just that nothing is being stocked until the store completes their reset.

I know this isn't the Brickseek thread, but I read a lot of comments saying that it was wrong, perhaps you are using it incorrectly. I look for changes in inventory numbers only, if it showed 0 yesterday and 6 today they have them. Now being able to find them is a different issue. These come wrapped in plastic on a pallet full of other stuff, I would never expect an employee to locate that in a backroom full of pallets.

Plus if it said 6 and now shows 5 then they put them out on a peg and you could likely find them without assistance. I got lucky that the walmart I went to was stocking everything despite not even attempting the reset. When I bought the entire wave of Infinity war and left only one Ironman and also bought 1 Thanos, the employee stocking (Who was cool as can be and had a wealth of info about comics) looked at me confused and said I have no idea where these go I just wanted to see them! He also went nuts with the Infinity Gauntlet. He decided to put them on the only legends peg they had, which was for Black Panther.

I'm not saying I haven't made a few trips and came up empty handed, but monitoring the changes is the best way to get what you want, IMO.

Instead of calling it brick seek, i think the more appropriate name for it should be jack shit finder .... because that's what my results of searching from their site gave me.

Tarooster 03-08-2018 03:23 PM

Definitely true. When my store got Thanos in I made a couple trips and came up empty handed cause the inventory said 6 which was a full case but it wasn't on the floor. As soon I saw the inventory at 3 I ran to the store and boom there they were.

Generally if the site shows in stock it's in the building but that doesn't mean it's gonna be sitting in the aisle waiting for you every time.

That sounds like a (in jest) insult, but I really can't take any offense to it since it's so very true. :p

Jeddostotle7 03-08-2018 04:09 PM

So far, I've managed to nab all of the Lizard wave except for Mysterio with the current Target $12.29 a pop Spider-Man Legends discount thanks to Brickseek. I relied more on whether a store had previously had any and then checking to see if they had any now when it came to what stores to try.

So far, most of what I've gotten came from seeing that a store had just claimed to have gotten more in after having none at 1 or 2 in the morning (after they've done what I assume is their nightly inventory update), and then going not that morning, but the one after.

Yes, but when the manager of the department tells me he can't sell themto you until after their reset, you don't expect to be told that they sold them over a weekend to someone else before their reset.

Usually when that happens you need to keep checking, because although one "manager" says something that doesn't mean other employees follow his rule. That said, brickseek is the best took especially for walmart because it shows an actual # of items. Target is much harder since it only tells you if it's in stock or at low stock
