LOL I stand corrected! You are absolutely right, I need to become current with the times!...but shouldn't Hasbro too? What's up with old school Thor!?! ;)

The Fwoosh member at SDCC claimed it was due to lack of space in the container. He also said Hasbro's supposed to reveal a few more figures in this wave. Probably holding them back until after the presentation.

Any chance we'll see Jessica Drew in the Spider-man wave tomorrow?? She is Spider-woman, after all!

Haha, true! But that was a recent announcement. Maybe if we're lucky we'll get new Thor and Captain Falcon in a later wave.

They never gave the X-Men legends a chance though the first ones were Diamond exclusive, and the other ones are TRU exclusives and both are hard as heck to get.

Which is lame...but then why are they making the 3.75 figures available?

warmachine6 07-25-2014 02:12 AM

Well published articles back me up...Google it and don't be a fanboy so much of Disney.

trebleshot 07-25-2014 07:16 AM

I'll be very interested to see what will be in that next Spider-Man wave.

I'm also not surprised about X-Men. Hasbro's been gun-shy about X-Men movie figures ever since X3. Also, since ML Infinite seems to be moving to a movie-centric release schedule, holding off on X-toys makes sense.

Heh, maybe he's the swap figure. :)

You keep saying that, yet whenever I ask for actual links to those published articles or interviews with employees of Disney/Marvel where they state those desires, you never give me a straight answer. In fact, you've been just as dismissive and evasive with me as you were with Exodus.

Also, All I ever get from searches on the subject are fan-sites filled with click-bait, rumors and speculation: "insiders report" this and "Word on the street" that.

I honestly don't think Marvel wants the X-Men movie rights back as badly as other people want them to have it back. Disney and Fox aren't two kids arguing over a toy on a playground, here.

Just Google the darn thing an enter wall street journal somewhere in the title as you'll find your answers.

Btw, I came off harsh, sorry. Your opinion on marvel not wanting x men badly trumps logic, greed and money...those are most important
To Disney, and Fox has what they want. Word on the street is all that anyone has on anything news worthy ever, be it news on toys, movies, wall street or the government.

You guys check out the new spider-man legends figures yet? How do you guys think the new comic spidey will stack against the McFarlene Spidey (which I don't own but is incredibly expensive).

Just saw that! Looks like it's based on the recent Superior Spider-Man body... if so, then the articulation is going to be awesome and totally comparable to McF Spidey (minus the finger articulation). So aside from finger articulation and what looks like painted weblines instead of sculpted, it looks like it'll be a great alternative classic spidey fig if McF is out of your price range. Looking forward to picking this new Spidey up for my collection!

edit: actually, it kinda looks like it's the regular Spidey body from ASM2IL, but without the texture and sculpted webs. Somehow not having the sculpted webs makes the shoulders look tons better though. Bought on sight.

I'm greatly looking forward to it. I have the McFarlane/Campbell Spider-man, but this newest one will likely replace it in any display that I create.

I had already developed a slight preference to the Spider-Man Infinite fig based on Spider-Man 2 the movie. Now that there is a comic-canon on the way (with added touches of a pizza-hand and head with mask pulled up...nice move Hasbro!), "Movie Webhead" will also be replaced. It always bugged me a bit (heh! - bugged...Spidey...I make funny) that Spider-man featured no "fists". Yeah he crawls a lot, but I wager he punches baddies at least as much...

I prefer the look for Spider-Man to be a little stockier (he's not hulking, but he's also not the "slight-in-build" teen he started out as) and shorter. McFarlane, while very cool, tracks tall and a bit skinny.

Really digging that new Spidey. Those open hands are my favorite and the partial mask and pizza are awesome.

I'm glad you get the option for the first time with variant BAF parts! I hope it's something Hasbro keeps in the arsenal:Spidey

305Batman 07-25-2014 11:38 AM

New Spidey is great,I'm just worried about the painted web lines, the only SM I own is the new ASM2,I hate the Mcfarlane,I used to have it way back until I sold it,he looks like a lanky, crack addict!

NoodleChow 07-25-2014 11:44 AM

Yeah, I wish the lines were sculpted in but looks like they're just paint.

TheXtremisT 07-25-2014 12:06 PM

Spidey 2099 just revealed! Looks sweeeet as.

He's on Superior body with Black Panther hands.

Jmacq1 07-25-2014 12:41 PM

So I totally called it.

Captain Marvel and Scarlet Witch are swaps.

As are Hawkeye and Iron Fist

At least according to Marvelousnews.

jwyss234 07-25-2014 01:55 PM

Has anyone heard how they will release the swap figures? I'm hoping they'll put them all in one wave like they did with the Captain America figures.

I'm a bit bummed that Captain Marvel and Scarlet Witch are swaps. I'd like to get both but I REALLY want Captain Marvel.

:( :( Gawd, we may as well take bets on which one will get cancelled then. Since they seem to do that with their swaps. I'm lucky enough to have a SW from the first ML run but if she gets cancelled for mass retail production AGAIN.....there will be hell to pay.

Another reply with no direct links. You said that your statements are backed up by published articles, yet you still cannot give me specifics?

The only things I've found based on your suggestion are Fox's failed buyout of Time Warner and the Vice Media lawsuit (which had Disney and Fox going after Vice).

I'm not trying to be rude, but you must see why I remain skeptical of your claims, right?

Do you mean it "defies logic"? Because it doesn't. Certainly not from a business perspective. I would also think that not wanting easy money would be the antithesis of greed.

I'm not even sure what "trumping logic" means.

Agreed, nice to see these awesome figures, but will we even get a chance to get them? Like Moonstar for example would have loved to have gotten her...

I'm not quite gonna declare all doom and gloom yet. At least where I'm at they did a good job getting the variants out for the Spider-Man 2 and Captain America Winter Soldier lines. Yeah, the AIM and HYDRA Soldiers were tough, but that was because they were troop builders. I found all the swaps at retail and wasn't even that diligent about hunting.

If they keep up the consistency with this impending line, then we shouldn't have too much difficulty getting the figs we want.

Mexicanland 07-25-2014 02:50 PM

The comic spiderman and 2099 aren't superior spiderman torso, they're both longer but not asm 2.

Yup. That figure, right there, is the one that makes me most upset at not getting. It would have been her very first figure EVER. How often does that happen for non-new characters now? And...BAM, right in the family jewels. :(
