I like this 2-pack, but it really should have come with a tiny versions of the two.

That would have been awesome.

So with TRU going out of business, I hope this means my Targets decide to start carrying toys again.

Only the female and teen bodies (or bodies that have been modified for easy removal, like the recent Reed Richards figure) do not if I am correct. I haven't tried cracking open the teen male buck to see what they use, but I believe it's also a peg system similar to the females.

I believe bodies that have butterfly joints tend to have pegs instead of disks, as well. When I got my Warlock wave Sunfire, his shoulder had been assembled wrong (into-torso end was inserted into the bicep, into-bicep end was inserted into the torso), and I just put it in some boiling water and it popped right out.

It was going to be TRU exclusive, but given their..... current state, who knows where it'll end up now.

Any one who owns jane foster know if there are any differences with the her SDCC figure and regular retail version ? I have the sdcc version and was trying to compare with a pic of the retail one from the net.

When i say differences i mean an SLIGHT color variations or whatever.

In addition to the hammer Nitelife mentioned, I think the loincloth-thing is a darker brown and the cape a lighter red on the SDCC version, compared to the retail version.

Oh, and the eyes on the SDCC version are black with blue dots/pupils, instead of the retail version's black with white dots/pupils.

Noticed the hammer's bluish color right away. However the figure really looks identical to the other.

Everyone is so focused on the TRU closing, people seemed to forget about my local Target, which has a buy one, get one at 50% off deal going on for all things Marvel and Star Wars. Was able to nab a Black Series Rose, another Spider-Man Noir, and was finally able to find a kids Infinity War Black Widow with (mostly) non-derpy eyes. The skin tone matches up pretty well with the Amazon MCU BW, and I've since fixed the eyes up a bit using some Gundam Markers. The head is not a perfect fit, but I was able to get it to work with a wad of napkins. Unless they really overhaul the MCU Widow body for the upcoming release, I pretty much have no need for the new Nat. I dig the billy club weapon too, and I love how it can connect into a staff, or be separated to dual wield.

I teased him a day or two ago, and I finally finished him up. This guy is quickly becoming my favorite custom yet. I hope that they release another figure sometime soon with bare feet (Namor's is a bit big) so I can improve on it, but the booted look doesn't bother me so much.

So is that sale everywhere or just Arizona? I never hear about these sales that you guys always talk about.

Harbinger 03-18-2018 07:02 PM

What? You mean you didnt get the shriveled ol guy in a gold lemay bathrobe heading for his sith-tz bath?

I went to two different Targets today, and they both were running a sale for BoGo 1/2 off...so I'm assuming it's for all Target stores. All 6" Black Series figures were marked down to 9.99 and the sale included several lines of toys that could be combined for the deal, such as Barbie, Transformers, WWE, Star Wars and Marvel. It was similar to some of the holiday specials they run.

This is the first time I saw the sale, and btw my TRU was BUSY today. Nearly NOWHERE to park. If this Target sale is running nationwide, I'm guessing that Target is trying to take some of the wind out of TRU's sails. Dick move, but that's why they're still around and TRU won't be I guess...

EDIT: It's a nationwide Easter sale. I just saw it posted on Target's website.

I would have if they had him, but the only figures they had was DJ, Kylo, Maz, Rose, and an ARMY of Executioner Troopers that might have been able to stop the invasion of Naboo had they been there. They seriously had at least 4 pegs worth of them...

Was kinda hoping for Snoke Hefner...my wife has been on a soft goods making kick, and I think I could turn him into a half decent Darth Plagueis if I tried...

DarthKamen 03-18-2018 07:55 PM

That Widow head looks surprisingly good. Better than the shot of the ML head. I just need any(MCU) BW figure though.

And I want a Sith-tz bath.....

Yeah, but that does me no good when my Marvel Legend options are 3 Speed Demons, Space Iron Man, Mantis wave Starlord, Thor with axe, and then the figures I already own from the Black Panther wave.

Mysterio arrived from Amazon today, it always feels good to order a figure at retail price with prime shipping. Mysterio has always been one of my absolute favorite Spider-villains and like some others I really didn't like how big the Toybiz dome was to accommodate its gimmick so this figure is a big win in my eyes. The special effects pieces are great but I find it weird how they don't exactly match, what I mean is that one has an obvious octopus tentacle while the other has spiders and what is either a snake tail or some other scaled tentacle. His skull head under the dome clearly has an octopus tentacle winding through it so at least two out of three directly match. I'm glad I got a white skull version, while I never had any beef with the green skull the white one is definitely closer to a true classic Mysterio presentation. The skull reacts vibrantly to a blacklight even under the dome but my phone was not focusing very well to get a great picture.

I was doing the exact same thing. I bought 2 extra Reed when they were 13$, one for this and one for a Johnny Storm (non Flame). I have an extra vision from the 3 pack I bought on clearance a while back. I just need to dig him out. He had bare feet and is much smaller than Namor. I tried to find someone who casted the bare feet but none of the regular places had any. I was just going to paint a black strap around the bottom of the feet. I know he is supposed to have the blue long johns all the way down , but matching that Blue that these FF figures are is not something I am going to tackle. Also I will have to have the Kick Me sign on his back.
