Jealous. I quit Transformers when GI JOE Classified started rolling out everything and Legends came back into my life but I really think I need to find this Megatron.

Found the black series SM-33 last weekend, just getting around to posting it. The ability to extend his limbs is simply executed but still effective and adds further display options. Snowball, the rat that lives in his head, is unpainted but actually pretty well sculpted for such a tiny piece. 33's head can be pulled apart in order to securely place Snowball sticking out of the empty eye socket. He does include a welcome disc-stand to help him stay up but I didn't need it for this picture. I enjoyed Skeleton Crew but only ever saw some of the figures at a Gamestop once before the show was even out so 33 here is my only figure of said crew so far, I'll probably try and get Neel online to go with him.

I do wish the figure had the Pulse Mace to rival Prime's Pulse Axe. The saber will do fine, but the mace is a better rivaling weapon. Just look at the RED figures. Anyway, here's Galvatron holding Megatron.

Found Legends First Steps Silver Surfer at Walmart and McFarlane Stephanie Batgirl at Gamestop. I feel like Steph should have also included a staff of some kind but maybe she doesn't use one in the Batgirls series that this figure is based on (I'll admit I haven't read it yet).

How in the world did you get her to hold onto the side of the board?!? I’m looking at your picture and I still can’t bend her enough to touch the board with her right hand

This one of my favorite new(ish) figs!

Hasbro did a good job on this one…Really, so basic, but an excellent job, plus I think it was VM who informed Arkers that he can fit into his hover chair from the past release of Professor X, which is awesome…

Certainly, speed-suit Xavier was a happy addition to the collection. However I quoted you comments on Wong. That figure is one of my favorites of the year.

Wong, another amazing figure with amazing detail..Easily in the running for top ten figure last year, imo!

Note: For some we are slightly disappointed not to get a Mandarin figure in his classic green or red robe or whatever you want to call it…Some on the tread were saying it could be due to misappropriation of culture…My question is, how were they able to make Wong?????

The pontificating revolves specifically around characters that evoke “yellow peril” tropes; even the term itself is a trope as Asian cultures are not “yellow.” Characters that are patterned after Sax Rohmer’s Fu Manchu, which some of the looks for Mandarin can be interpreted as being, have been identified as offensive. It’s also for this reason that Marvel has moved away from their own use of Fu Manchu as a dysfunctional father-figure for Shang-Chi: The Master of Kung-Fu. Wong doesn’t fall into that morass as he doesn’t present a stereotype; he’s just a bald guy wearing a tang-suit. I suppose some could say he resembles a martial artist, maybe even a Shaolin monk, but there isn’t really a negative connotation to that.
