That's just for D&D Beyond, the rights to D&D proper were bought by Hasbro in 1999 through their purchase of Wizards of the Coast (who acquired them in 1997 when they bought TSR).

But yes NECA said they were told to focus on the 40th anniversary figures in 2024, hopefully implying more figures are still on the way.

Jack should be fine so long as they didn't go to crazy ratcheting any of the joints. That's my problem with their Crooked Man figure. But that Sally is so beautiful it made me instantly cancel those Super7 figures.

The debacle over the TMNT Sewer Lab set is amazing to me. Like how did they manage to mess up the shipping so badly and then how horrible their wording was in the email they sent out about it.

Im not sure whats going on with necas shipping but all my orders have been pushed off til next year .

I’m a bit concerned I ordered the Beetlejuice playset now. I’ve never had an issue with them before but they seem in over their head at this moment in time.

Apparently it is getting worse, with NECA sending out another email threatening to charge people that got multiple sewer labs if they are not returned to NECA. This would be a violation of consumer protection laws and could get them in a good deal of trouble, aside from making the company look bad. Plus people can (and probably should) dispute the second charge if this does happen. But I kind of think that it is just a scare tactic by NECA.

Really NECA made a very expensive error and just needs to suck it up and produce more to make it right. (And I should add that I didn't order one, haven't purchased any of the NECA TMNT items, so whatever happens doesn't affect me at all).

Apparently Neca accidentally sent some customers 2 tmnt lab playsets back in august. Now they are demanding they be sent back or they will be banned from their store in the future. A second email just went out to those affected and said they will charge them the $300 plus tax and shipping if the extra set is not sent back. Plus many customers will not be getting one since theirs were shipped to these people. Neca seems to be unable or unwilling to do a second production. Also I read that many people contacted Neca months ago when this happened and Neca never responded, so many sold them or gave them away. Total shit show.

Also heard Neca did this with their beetlejuice baby doll the offered.

Man what a total clusterfuck.

The best thing that I have seen coming out of this is all of the people talking about how bad NECA's customer service has been over the years, and now they're wanting help back from the buyers. You can't screw over people for years by ghosting people when they complain about shipping or manufacturing problems. I complained once that I opened a new figure from them and one of the joints was broken in the package. They told me that their articulated figure was not intended to be removed from the package and posed, which if that was the case then they should have just made unarticulated statues and not figures.

For years I have wanted figures of Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing from the Hammer Dracula movies. But seeing how they have handled this it makes me reconsider giving them any more of my money. I kind of hope that they do follow through with charging the people for the second sets just to see the legal shitstorm that they would put themselves into. Doing that and the legal costs that they would incur would probably be more than if they just did the right thing and do another production run to fix the mistake that they made.
