Hooray! The thread has risen from the ashes!
As far as SDCC stuff goes, I want it all. It's like they figured out what we all wanted this year and decided to deny them to everyone outside America...I guess I'll either beg anyone who'll listen in the appreciation thread or just live in the Forbidden Planet in case they get some. eBay is my last resort but most probable chance. It's annoying I'll never own Nick Fury and now Maria Hill... I'd like to find a second super-posable Spidey to try and turn into Spider-Girl. But I'd rather not pay a tenner for it if I can help it. I'd probably mess it up anyway. Until I can get hold of Widow, Hawkeye, a skrull or two and an unmasked Cap I'm done as far as Avengers go. |
My nearest Disney store had Avengers figures at £6.30 on offer, some decent looking stuff in also that was Marvel related.
Forbidden Planet an A1Comics up here had nothing exciting, I want some of those Skrulls. Anyone think we'll get the new MU waves by Christmas? |

Seeing as a fair amount of you guys are from England, you can probably advise me on this. Next week, I shall be holidaying in France and I'll be driving home. Without going into London, are there any places with recommendable comic book shops that stock figures? I've been recommended Page 45 in Nottingham so far.

Not sure how many of you saw this, but in the latest Argos Catalogue add-on that came in the paper, there was the new Spider-Man range including this:
Buy Spider-Man Helicopter with 3 x 3.75 inch Figures at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for Marvel, Other action figures and playsets. I know what you're thinking - "Where would Peter hide that in Aunt May's house??" But put that to one side, because looking at the picture in the catalogue (which isn't on the site) this comes with Sewer Strike Lizard and Strike Missile Shocker! Yes, the almost mythical Shocker from Canadia. I paid almost £30 for Shocker by himself. If this is accurate (it is Argos after all...) it could be great news for anyone who doesn't have him. |

£30 for real???did you buy that in the UK?
|
Nah it was shipped from Canada. I think it was closer to £25 or 26 in total, but a big 'ol chunk of that was for postage.
Jimmyo, if you do get one let us know if it's true. I'm really curious. |
Reviving this thread. It must not die. Must. Not.
Picked up super-posable Spidey at the Entertainer. My local Asda had some MU on the shelves - don't get excited - it was clearly the dregs of the wave they released around the time of the Captain America movie. Store never sold Avengers figs though - bizarre. Upside; they were £3.98! Went back again a couple of days later and bought a couple more figs, and they scanned for £6.50! I checked and sure enough they were still sitting in the 'Marvel Figs £3.98' bit with no other signage. Grrr. Might be worth checking your local Asdas. Went to LFCC this weekend with Primewolf. Lots of sexy cosplayers wandering around. Totally barren for MU; a handful of Secret Wars comic packs, some of the last wave, and some Avengers figs (easy to get ones). Real letdown. |

I went out after watching the spidey movie with my daughter and YES the helicopter pack does include the sewer slash lizard and Strike Missile Shocker. The Spidey figure is a real basic option but I guess most of us will grab the new movie one anyway. So run to your local argos and snap up this helicopter now |

Got my copy of Infinity Gauntlet signed by Jim Starlin, who is a really friendly bloke! He was drawing sketches for everyone in the queue, and drew me a pretty damn cool Dr Doom :) But yeah, everywhere else in the country, a barren wasteland for decent MU. |
Liverpool Entertainer had nowt apart from a handful of Avengers - Loki, already got two - and some Amazing Spider-Man 3.75 inchers.

Im looking for 4 A.I.M soldiers,Can anyone Help?????
Doesnt matter if they are loose. |
Well all I've seen recently are the Spiderman figures, but they appear to be comic-based not movie based for some reason. Also they've all got swivel hips instead of full ball jointed. I mind that kind of thing.
Definitely like the look of the super jointed movie Spidey. Maybe I'll actually see one some day. |

Iv got one spare if you want it?? Drop me a PM if you are interested mate. |

Proteus do you know if the M.O.E pack will be available on Hasbrotoyshop.com? |
Does anyone think its too early/too late/inappropriate to start begging on the appreciation thread for a Masters Of Evil set? Not for free obviously (although I wouldn't say no if offered...).
I'm watching ebay but I'd rather not pay £70+ to get one shipped if I can help it. I'm not even going to bother trying for a Helicarrier or Bruticus set. I've pretty much written off getting hold of those. Sainsburys has Spidey movie figures reduced to £5.99 each. |
