Interestingly enough, my local store never got the A-force set or any of the Hasbro MCU prop replicas. Though, I do know of two stores, both about an hour away in opposite directions, that had it. Hopefully I'll be able to snag it soon.

Yeah, my store was about wiped out, too. I just luckily found this set stashed away from the action figures and near a random barcode scanner.

Scooped up 2 Mr. Fantastics today. I’m now down to waiting for the next waves. I wonder when the second Infinity War wave and the Apocalypse waves go up for preorder.

Shoot.... I might need to call my TRU up the road tomorrow.

If you don’t mind me asking are you in the states? Because if so I might need to give my Toys R Us a call.

I called one tonight and they said they had them out but wouldn’t hold them. I’m going to check in the morning.

Nice!
I managed the KBToys in the pines mall back in '00-'01.
And helped out a bunch at the KB Toy Works in Oakwood Square kinda around the same time.
I was the manager at Toy works in Sawgrass Mills when the company closed back in '09.

Whos in the Apocalypse waves

Archangel 03-25-2018 06:28 PM

It’s kind of BS that they ended their rewards program for people who made purchases before liquidation. I swear they hung up my points for 3 weeks.

Everything they make looks too smooth, it's bizarre. Very anime-like.

I feel like Storm Collectibles would make better marvel figures, their street fighter figures are world's better than SH Figurearts

The guy on the phone had no incentive to tell me the truth being that he will be jobless in a few weeks, but hopefully I find something good there in the morning.

DarthKamen 03-25-2018 07:27 PM

I need a way to replicate the gold on that gauntlet. Gorgeous.

Nah, it's just that the texture is smaller/more subtle. It's definitely there, just not as noticeable in the official pictures.

Wow ! So yea your definitely familar with the area. Very cool. Yea, the distribution with these figures particularly are horrible down here. Toys R us in pembroke pines being one of the worst to find legends. However the newest ones like the lizard wave and the deadpool wave won't see the light of day around here probably for another good 4 to 6 months easy. Im usually more sucessful buying legends at walmarts and buying online.

So if you don't mind me asking, where do you move to now? Sounds like you high tailed it outta here lol

Just like the Deadpool wave, here’s another wave where I’ll enjoy every figure from it and won’t mind preordering a case.

Back when KB closed, I spent a few months deciding what to do next. I visited my mom and brother in upstate NY, and decided the weather is much more my style up here, so I moved up here.

Met a beautiful woman, got married, and had 4 kids. Can't believe it's already/only been 8 years.

Yeah, just imagine back in the day when ecommerce wasn't so big.
There were times I'd go from aventura area all the way to boynton beach on a day off and not find anything I was looking for, so I would pick up any random thing so0 it didn't feel like a total waste.

rwsharpjr 03-26-2018 05:21 AM

I would usually try to schedule myself off so I could make toy runs between Wednesday and Friday, so at the very least I could grab new comics or something from Tate's on my way home.

Very much looking forward to this wave. I like the modern Magneto, but I think I would have preferred a really good classic style one. I have the one from the Jubilee wave, but I think he's a little week.

Yea you definitely were a broward native lol. From you mentioning the pines mall, saw grass, and even tates .

Pretty cool dude ! Yea not too much changed here. Other than it's gotten mighty overcrowded here.

Amazon’s Defenders set is $46 on Amazon today. Wish I had waited now.
