Before you jump on me you have to understand that deadpool is not a household name.....which is why the GOTG set is 20 high and on clearance at my Walmart and been on clearance for well over a year now and still they have 20? I also have no intrest in deadpool.....so let it be at sdcc! I was happy that the masters of evil was one also. The only figure I wanted was zemo and for being patient I'm getting him soon.....

yeah it wouldnt sell, remind me again how many deadpool figures you find on the shelves cause in my area and (based on ebay prices) every where else they are none existent, in every run of every toy of deadpool except 1 i have had to buy online for more then the original retail value. so yeah im happy, a lil pissed that kid dp is unarticulated and that DP himself isnt in it, but yeah im happy and i do hope its sold in stores so the price isnt so high that i cant get 2 or 3 of the set

We'd all be happy hearing they were making him but a minute later we'd realize how much it screws over most collectors.

He has a fairly large COMIC fan base...he is still not mainstream. Well this is how I see it.....if prof x was a sdcc I'd be fine with it! I'm happy with holes in my collections. I sold down my collection. I honestly don't have to form every single version of every single team from every single decade. I don't own every version of ironman because 2 is enough.....they are toys....I'm happy that I have a few of the characters that I like.

I don't chase variants and I dont lose my mind that I don't have either blaaster. I don't own jubs....so I'm guessing ill never complete the 90s xmen.....and I never loose sleep. I own one Jim lee cyclops and I (gasp) cut off his top straps and made a cross between cockrum cyclops and Jim lee cyclops. I don't go crazy because I don't own a red skull or many villains to pose my heroes pretend fighting. I like this line but I pick and choose.

I don't leave in the card so I don't care if they are creased or not. I know I'm the minority here but so what if Xavier was an exclusive? You either live with it.....but a ticket and try and get them....go through ebay an over pay for a toy that after this line ends will go down. How do I know that $50 figure you bought is going to go down.....because once something ends we collectors tend to go to something else.....most sell their collection. Plus look at the old bullseye.....once the comic pack came out with a better mold BE some people lost interest in the old one. Once something better comes....y'all cheat on the old one.

So no if prof x was an exclusive I would not bitch or lose my mind! And it's only a screw over in your head....we are not in titled to these toys....they DON'T have to give you a stupid dog in a deadpool suit. If you gotta have that for whatever reason you have to have it then I'm sure you'll find a way....where there is a will there is AWAYS a way....

wylde bil 05-24-2013 06:29 AM

i do hope with this we now get a single carded MU deadpool and that they do some paint job variants notable xmen suit, ultimates suit and evil deadpool

Jimmyo 05-24-2013 06:43 AM

Deadpool has his own Videogame coming out so the demand is there for the character.

He does good numbers and with the right push I think Marvel see him as being like wolverine in the 90's when you could not open a comic without a guest shot from Logan.

I am not a massive fan of the character but the pack is cool

Ok he has a video game? Go ask your neighbor if they know who he is? Then ask if they know who batman is? Just because you have a game coming out it doesn't mean he's popular.....xmen destiny sucked but had a strong name behind it!

I've seen deadpool in stores...but I'm going to ask you to remind me about hasbro packing one hot thing per case......did you ever think maybe that the reason you don't see him in retail is because he came one per case maybe in that comic pack? Maybe two per case? So f Walmart got two in on tue morning how many people do you think it would take to buy up those two comic packs? 1 person!
The wo deadpool was well packed and I saw him in stores many times....even hooked some friends up with a few....

And please don't use eBay prices as a base on how hot he is.....just because some idiot is willing to Over pay way too much for a toy doesn't make it popular....it makes them stupid! These are worth retail prices only!

when i referred to deadpool toys i meant more then just MU line.

to you, you might like something that i think is trash and not even worth retail price but you like it.
just cause you dont like it, understand it or care about it doesnt make it right to trash it and stick you nose up at others that do, i dont understand why grown mean collect MLP, i think most might have a weird fetish but who am i to knock it as long as they do nothing wrong.

to ask if ppl know who Dp over batman is crazy, batman is one of the big 3, almost everyone knows who batman, superman and spiderman are, however with a game and maybe a movie dp can move into that second tier of known comic hero characters, captain america, hulk, ironman, wolvie, flash, wonder woman. that is saying alot about a villian created in the 90's with no real team affiliation which if you check all of the above names have at least some loose affiliation with a team.

he is going from niche to mainstream, just cause you dont like or understand it, it is happening

I like deadpool....ok go ask them who Mighty Mouse is instead? Why do you people get so hurt by having a conversation? My friend likes the Star Wars prequels.....he doesn't get mad or hurt when we talk about its faults.

That's the problem here....if someone thinks differently then you then they are trashing your joy! I'm not trashing your deadpool.....he isn't mainstream enough for thatboxset to be at retail....nor was the GOTG set. Which is why it collects dust clearanced out.

Last I checked we could talk and voice or opinions but the whole getting your feelings hurt over a talk about toys is ridiculous. I think the MU cap toy is perfect....others think it sucks and the head is too small. I don't get mad....I don't get hurt!

Speaking of collecting mlp toys.....I don't understand why we collect toys at all....myself included...it's really a waist of money but I do it. Maybe they collect mlp because hasbro actually releases hard to find ones and gives that line some respect....

Lots of people want a Deadpool figure but couldn't care less a about Deadpool Corps. The reason Deadpool is so hard to get is the low production runs. The comic two-pack was hardly seen by most of us. Had it hit in mass like the FF team pack or something it would be warming still most likely. Perhaps toy companies underestimate the market for some characters and that is what really makes them hard to find, not necessarily universal demand. I'd only want Lady Deadpool and maybe the dog as a novelty.

What a catty response to a simple statement of fact. Releasing generally wanted characters as exclusives does screw most buyers in the sense that they will be forced to pay a price much higher than retail and that is a guarantee. No one said anything about losing ones mind, except you, but I was mostly pointing out to those hating on a potential Deadpool pack that its better than something they really wanted being hard to get. Deadpool fans are lucky to get these figures at all and most will only be interested for the rarity, if at all.

I don't chase after figures for high prices either and I've been lucky enough to find most things at retail or catch a sale on the or have fellow collectors hook me up. If it costs too much I just don't buy it. You make a lot of assumptions and I'm not sire what you basing them on but you come off a bit of angry about something.

Does someone put a gun to your head and make you buy anything? Your not forced to buy a thing except in your head. Like I said....you can be happy and content with holes....buy a ticket to sdcc and hope.....buy from happy.....or go live your life and spend that money on your GF, bf, kids, wife, or some guy who hasn't eating in 10 days. Your statement has flaws brother....no one forces any collector to go allpokomon on toys....that's a mental issue weather you see it bad or good.

I'm not knocking how you collect....but some of you are borderline drug addicts with toys!! That's not directed at you but to sit here and think your due every figure that is an exclusive is off the wall crazy in itself. That's why they are exclusives.....hard to get. I used to be like most if you until I told myself it was going to be ok if I never owned a vison....which I did own and sold on eBay.

Again you have your opinion and I have mine and last I checked we were discussing points from both sides.....but don't call my statements catty because they differ from yours....that's insulting because as far as I know I'm in America and we ave free speech.....at least for a few more years.

And last I checked this was type.....so how do you know I'm angry when I'm not? Do you have the Internet god powers we don't know that allows you to judge emotions through written words? I'm very happy....I'm off...it's sunny and my daughter and I are watching superman unbound.....you judge too quick and your wrong!

I haven't been on hisstank in years but there is a guy on there everyone hated.....he has a dog as his picture. He used to urk me so bad. I hated him and hated him, but as the years went by I saw why he was so hated.....he told you how it really was.....like I said you are never forced to collect anything....that's a decision you made.....or they made....or he made.....or she made, but to demand you are able to get everything is just feasible wrong in its self.....that's glorified self satisfaction.....not hasbros job....

I'm not arguing.....why is it that you can't have a conversation on forums without people getting mad? Jeez I had ths same convo with real live people about deadpool yesterday at work and no one argued or got mad and hurt?

I mean someone says it's not fair for hasbro to release these exclusives so everyone can't get them, but when you state truth that you don't have to own anything and it pisses off people? I mean we have these same convos on MMM and it's all good.....why is anything ran by the makers of hisstank tf2005 or toyark involve people that can't actually have a conversation about toys? I'm not arguing, fighting, trolling r anything in those categories. Where did actual discussion go?

I think a better question at this point would be "Where did actual 3.75 appreciation go?" :)

my feelings arnt hurt, so i have no clue where you get that, i didnt say that, nor did i infer such.

all i was doing was having a different opinion and stating it, for some reason you took it as an attack, u can change that not me, but im sorry if you thought it was

i wonder why i collect things past the "i like it" thought, most likely its caused by the fact that if i didnt collect something ppl would get me things i dont want for gifts, that and like most i like to waste money on things i like lol

THIS^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

We all have eyes and can read, we all know a troublemaker when we read one. Drama is just that and doesn't belong in an appreciation thread. This isn't really a debate or discussion thread at all, it's here for pics and to appreciate marvel in all it's forms.

I think in person discussions are a different story cause folks can see you, read body language, interpret laughs, things that can't be done over the Internet. All we have is what we read.

No again I didn't take anything as an attack....again I was talking about deadpool and him being mainstream or not being. And you know what this is an appreciation thread.....but have you never been talking to friends and it gets off topic? I've never had a talk with anyone and got blasted because we drifted off the topic....and mad who is the trouble maker you refer to? I'm guessing its me for chatting about toys.....and about the appreciation part.....maybe if other marvel threads were actually on the front page then I could go there. But seeing as I don't go to the forums beyond what I see on the right of the front page then sue me?

fosterlager 05-24-2013 02:09 PM

So are there Deadpool Corps books out there? How long have they been around? It seems like a decently cool concept for me and I know I get way more into the figures if I've seen them in a TPB or something.

Ok.....well stop thinking someone that has a different point a view then you is a trouble maker....and learn we all don't agree. I've been spoiled by make mine marvel on Facebook. I've had these same talks and no one gets bent about them.....maybe these "corporate" websites are dying out..,I mean honestly its almost like the book 1984 with these sites....but isn't talking and discussing the toys we love the greatest application we can give them?

MADREVJACK 05-24-2013 02:15 PM

I'm not talking about any one person in particular, that said, it's not unreasonable to type in a thread not on the front page. That reasoning sounds faulty.

Dude, you are the one raging on commenting on things people didn't actually say. I've never really noticed any of your posts before but it seems you just want to antagonize. Maybe that's how you get your jollys so more more power to you I guess. When you want to actually read what others say instead of putting words in their mouth then maybe you'd have some good convos. The rest of us has productive discussions all the time. If this keeps happening to you then it doesn't it make sense that you are the problem and not everyone else you come in contact with?

Just sit back and watch for awhile.

• Sharing comparison photos with Marvel 3.75" toys and other toy lines.
