While Jazwares, Spinmasters, Hiya, Boss Fight, Joy Toy, etc... are all cool toys in their own right, i would be even more excited to see more 3.75 inch/1:18 scaled Marvel Universe, Marvel Cinematic Universe, and GI Joe made.

I hate to say it, but it seems that the mainstream appeal of our scale was inherently numbered, especially for Marvel.

Mind you the the super-articulated action figure market for collectors was mainly pushed by Toybiz Legends, with things like DCUC following.

Innovations to the engineering of star wars figures and Joe's were more insular. The Showdown figures were mainly a means of Toybiz creating a competing brand to suckle off of Hadbro's demographic.

This changed radically when Hasbro adapted the Marvel brand through the Universe figures, where alot of standard lines figures were 3.75 scale either by Hasbro or other companies.

We had it good, arguably too good. Vonner left, then Marvel legends got better progressively after Phase 2 if the MCU roughly speaking. Improvements in Legends made them more confident with trying the scale out with Star Wars. Now we are seeing it with the Joe's.

Hasbro saw the market that grew around Legends, like NECA or Japanese imports, and did the math with the opportunity cost.

I say this all as someone who prays for some sort of return, as unlikely as it is.

Cool. I was planning on trying the Winter Soldier re-release version since it's cheaper to get. Thanks for the tip.

Love your hulk formulas. Honestly liked the first mold's proportions, if only they had better leg articulation like you gave them.

ah,i see- yes, they'd be good only for background shots...but when the average Joe figure or standard human like Daredevil is taller than Iron Man from the same line, it's already pretty out of whack.

Bad@$$, Creator!

Both head sculpts work though i'm partial to the roaring head sculpt. Your signature paintwork make him menacing and much like he leapt out of a comic book.

Okay, Gamna first avengers show hulk with the 2008 movie hulk roaring head. Legs and hip joints from multiple MU hulks as you said.

The thoughts seemed a tad wonky in a vanilla pose but either posed or in profile the proportions seem fine.

Up to snuff like everything else you do. Love the Daken too.

Agemo 09-16-2020 09:17 AM

Okay double checked. Roaring head comes specifically from the Jeep set hulk.

The arms, the forearms at leas, being from the first mold.

Always thought Sabretooth was done dirty for never getting an official release with this mold.

Then again, Hasbro felt they struck gold with the XMWO molds, so we stuck with outdated molds for years.

BTW, you Wolverine is still metal.

I noticed the success of 6 inch collectors; was keeping their main topics on wishlists. Hisstank.com now has its own "What do you want next in Classified 6 inch" thread. I did NOT notice any "What do you want next in the Retro 3.75 line?" thread. Thus toy designers have little clue on what 3.75 collectors want. I'm afraid the Retro 3.75 Joes will have ZERO to NONE of thee highly desired Convention / Club figures, the designers can so easily repaint. Instead it's just a bunch of the same cast Scarlet, SE, Duke, etc. So someone please start a Retro 3.75 wishlist thread and bump that thread with the 100s of figures we have yet to see at retail as super articulated figures.
