I just made (3) different Hulks this past week and said that I was finished and then you post this but I think the venomized tendrills and the head are all that will be needed for me.

There's an upcoming Doom 6" figure with a Darkhold and Book of Thehe Vashanti that look amazing and open and are perfect 1:18 scale!
They're definitely too small for the Doom figure and both books are oversized in the comics so they should work perfectly for 1:18...

I'll buy it for the books- but there's also an Ultimate NULLIFIER! That's closer to 1:12 but still perfect for putting in a containment vessel...

Thanks for the link. I defently would buy this for the nullified alone. The books are just icing

I hate to say it, but it seems that the mainstream appeal of our scale was inherently numbered, especially for Marvel.

Mind you the the super-articulated action figure market for collectors was mainly pushed by Toybiz Legends, with things like DCUC following.

Innovations to the engineering of star wars figures and Joe's were more insular. The Showdown figures were mainly a means of Toybiz creating a competing brand to suckle off of Hadbro's demographic.

This changed radically when Hasbro adapted the Marvel brand through the Universe figures, where alot of standard lines figures were 3.75 scale either by Hasbro or other companies.

We had it good, arguably too good. Vonner left, then Marvel legends got better progressively after Phase 2 if the MCU roughly speaking. Improvements in Legends made them more confident with trying the scale out with Star Wars. Now we are seeing it with the Joe's.

Hasbro saw the market that grew around Legends, like NECA or Japanese imports, and did the math with the opportunity cost.

I say this all as someone who prays for some sort of return, as unlikely as it is.

I did NOT notice any "What do you want next in the Retro 3.75 line?" thread. Thus toy designers have little clue on what 3.75 collectors want. I'm afraid the Retro 3.75 Joes will have ZERO to NONE of thee highly desired Convention / Club figures, the designers can so easily repaint. Instead it's just a bunch of the same cast Scarlet, SE, Duke, etc. So someone please start a Retro 3.75 wishlist thread and bump that thread with the 100s of figures we have yet to see at retail as super articulated figures.

As someone who grew up with 3.75 as "the" correct scale for action figures, I appreciate both of you. Honestly, I'd be fine starting over MU in any fashion if it was as well done as modern 6" figures these days. Plus more vehicles and props.
