you guys talk about limited space for toys and stuff. im working with a room with poor ventilation and when mother nature decides to start kicking in with the rain she kicks into the room too....

while my toys and comics are in a room, what we floridians call a "florida room" i plan on taking out the figures REAL soon. i kinda talked the mrs into letting me put them into our bedroom. however they MUST be shelved. no boxes or crap like that.

so soon as i have time they'll start going

I don't have to “negotiate” with anyone. I can put my stuff where i want, when I want, how I want. :p

I recently bought some bookcases and put the majority of my DC figures and Marvel Legends on display in the man-cave. Doing this has put things in perspective for me and now I can see the finish line. After this year, I'll only need a few more ML figures to finish off the lists I made when I started collecting. For instance, after I get Psylock, Apocolypse and Bishop later this year, I'll only need an Emma Frost and a Weapon X figure to have all the characters I want/feel are necessary for MY collection. I'll be able to squeeze them on to my shelves and after that I'll probably just be replacing old, outdated figures with newer, better looking versions.

Now that I have these shelves, I've purged out figures that I don't care as much for and I've started being more selective because I realize that I have finite space to display my figures. When the majority of my collection was being stored in plastic tubs, I wasn't thinking about how much space they would take to display and bought a bunch of figures that I don't care enough about to make room for and keep dusted.

I enjoy the figures I already have so much more now that they're posed on a shelf and I get to see them every day and it reduces my urge to keep buying more and more figures.

I currently do not have a bunch of room to display my stuff either. My girlfriend and I moved in to an apartment together over the summer. It’s not a huge space, but I do have some stuff displayed. I have four shelves for my marvel legends and three shelves for my Transformers. Granted, it’s a small fraction of what I have and my displays are constantly changing, but it makes me happy for now. Eventually, if we get a house together, I would like to devote a room to displaying my stuff while also using it as an office.

Archangel 04-04-2018 06:21 AM

I’m moving in 9 days. I’ve got epic plans. My garage will act as the man-cave, spare room is going to be the nerd-cave. I’m just looking for a Captain America shield to round out the decor. All of my stuff has been boxed up in storage for months, but I’ve collected more since then. Hopefully seeing everything together will slow my collecting down. Some of the figures from the future waves are must haves...but Deadpool in boxers, nah. I might have to put some stuff up for sale/trade once I realize how many Star Lords and Spidermen I have.

Anyone see the new select thanos ? I think it looks like ass... i'm more than happy with the walmart exclusive. Granted the MS is made to look more like the MCU version. Still it's blah...

Boy Blunder 04-04-2018 08:23 AM

I feel you guys with the limited space issues. At the moment, we have about four shelves worth of display space around our place (it's very tiny), but between the two of us, we have about... five or more of those 60-quart Sterilite storage bins full of action figures, Transformers, and dolls, plus other, smaller bins as well.

Right now, we've got two major displays on one shelf (Marvel Legends and TFs) with some dolls and statues mixed in, another shelf of dolls, statues, and a couple TFs, a third mixed shelf of my wife's favorites (over her work desk, for inspiration), and a final shelf mostly consisting of Pops in the TV stand.

But we keep collecting. Even though we've slowed down on TFs due to cost vs. value, and most of her doll lines (Monster High and Ever After High) have ended or petered out to the point of near-death, if anything we buy more and more Legends as time goes on. It's to the point where almost all the BAFs we have are living on the shelf above my work desk at the office, due to the space they take up.

We leave for MN today so on our way through Kansas I'm going to stop off at some Walmarts to see if maybe a store in the void of space has a Thanos.

I have places in different continents but my main place for my toys is the USA...but even I have run out of space. I hate vanilla posing everything. I like having a display that makes me feel content. It's like art to me...maybe art therapy in a way.

BUt space is becoming a big issue. Maybe I need to move and find a place in the USA, next to a big city that allows me to constantly expand my property.

They are all over the place out here, you should be able to find one easily.

Ok, I'm getting confused now. Originally it was listed that the MYSTERIO with the WHITE SKULL was the variant. Several on ebay sold for up to $80 each. My shop ordered 10 sets and all 10 are the white head version, but now when I look at ebay the GREEN SKULL is being listed as the variant and now that one's price is up. What's the deal? Which one is the actual variant?

Green skull is the variant. The white skull is supposed to be the regular one. Either way the new mysterio is a sought after figure.

Finally got a chance to open up my DP wave, didn't realize dorkside didn't ship it with the regular hasbro box to keep it minty fresh...probably won't use them again...Got to love Cable though so bulky and Deathlok.

you can't go wrong with no tax and free shipping though ! i normally go back and fourth with dorkside and BBTS but as mentioned above it's hard not to choose the one where you'll save a couple bucks.

Penguino 04-04-2018 06:21 PM

Did you not order the full case but a full set? Normally they don't ship with the case box unless you actually buy the full case.

Though I've never had anything damaged in shipping from them.

Dammit, I was hoping for more time!

Ah well. Any mentions of who the double-pack is? Safe money is on Wolverine, but Hasbro could've done a smart move and made it Jamie.

If history repeats itself wolverine will be the hard to get one. My money is on gladiator or multiple man. They'll for sure be the peg warmers.
