I don’t think the udon mask is suppose to be task master, just a generic “hydra hockey mask” same as the captain Britain hydra repaint isn’t “hydra cap Britain” I think they just wanted to repack as much shit as possible to keep the pack cheap.

I was wrong about 90's ML Deadpool... I like this figure much better than the Juggernaut wave Deadpool. Didn't plan on getting him, but he was just too nice looking to pass up.

Also my Cable's right arm comes off easily. And I wish I could swap out his lower legs with the Juggernaut wave Cable's lower legs.

I wish Domino came with an alternate early 90's New Mutants hairdo head... I always loved that hairstyle on her. I'm also surprised she seems to be the 2nd most unpopular fig of the wave only behind Paladin.

I don't see Walgreens wanting to dig that deep. The only one of those I could possibly see them making are the Watcher. I'd say Crystal too, but the recent Inhuman figures do not appear to be selling well.

I think when you look at the whole wave Domino probably is among the less popular. Obviously the two Deadpools are the title attractions, Cable has recognition especially with the DP2 hype, Deathlok is the kinda character that can sell toys on looks alone, and X-23 has seen a massive popularity boost since Logan came out. Domino isn't unpopular like Paladin but she isn't exactly popular, she doesn't have Cable's current fortune with the movie recognition as her movie look is quite changed from the source. There could also be a factor of fans who don't want this specific version and wanted something more classic.

I don't think you can judge the popularity of a figure based on a sample of how well they are selling in a few individual stores.

That was a WalMart Exclusive that came out around the same time as the 1st Thor movie if I recall.

I could see Walgreens diving deeper into the F4 background. They have a lot of interesting villains and supporting characters that I would like to see get made.

Why not? Rama-Tut is a relative to Doctor Doom. Puppet Master is the step-father to Thing's girlfriend. El Diablo was highly praised as being one of the FF's most original villains.

I’ve pointed out before that a “classic” version might actually have been easier to kitbash, rather than sculpting a new head and modifying the tooling for the Mockingbird torso. You could get a pretty fair approximation of her original X-Force look (by which I mean the general look she had during the original X-Force run) by combing the Allfather wave Scarlet Witch headsculpt and Rocket Raccoon wave Jean Grey upper torso

Hasbro can get really deep with the F4 stuff if they wanted to. They have arguably the deepest roster of characters next to Spider-Man and X-Men. And think about how many F4 or F4-related characters we're getting already. Johnny, Sue, Reed, Ben, Namor, Classic BP, Black Bolt, Medusa, Silver Surfer...then the all-but-confirmed Super Skrull (when I was working at Walgreens, we had a UPC for it).

They haven't even tapped into their Rogues Gallery yet, besides Namor.


And honestly wouldn't be surprised to see a box set with the entire team in their blue and white uniforms (with Johnny being a different shade of orange/red or possibly even powered down). Maybe even Future Foundation costumes, with a redone/re-released FF Spider-Man or Doom.

That explains the excessive amount of tentacle porn you bought. ;) heehee

i guarantee plenty of these will be for sale from prior owners that made impulse buys in just a matter of time.
