I'm assuming Hill will be a swap with either Coulson or Fury.

Hellcat will be a swap with Spider-Woman.

Just watch....

Is't HIll using, at least to me, Black Widow's body. Like my Gamora, the cheap plastic causes her to keep falling especially the high heels.

From what I've read and watched about the panel coverage those three are going to be a box set :)

They are using the BW body with a few newly tooled part. The Hill the new head is a given on the figure, but she also has new forearms, mid torso minus the BW logo, and a new upper body with smaller breast with less skin visible.

VashTS 07-28-2014 09:02 AM

Smaller breasts...what a downer

The Hasbro/Marvel panel from the 2014 San Diego Comic Con features Adam Biehl (Vice President, Global Marvel Line at Hasbro), Jesse Falcon (Director of Hardlines, Marvel), Dwight Stall (Senior Marvel Product Design Manager, Hasbro), Bobby Vella(sp) (Marvel Legends Designer) and Laura Gillwahl (Marketing).

We are bringing you live coverage of this panel as it happens so be sure to refresh your browser often over the course of the next hour.

Going over SDCC exclusives.

Super Hero Mashers launched this year. Kid focused. 2015 will see Logan and Skaar, Juggernaut and Whiplash.

Variant Covers Styled and Photoed By Alex Kropinak.

Avengers Marvel Legends Wave 1. Machine Man, Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel, Odin The All Father is the Build-A-Figure & King Thor when using swappable parts. Wave 2: Spider-Woman, Hellcat and Thanos Build-A-Figure. Alex Maleev will do custom artwork for the packaging.

Avengers movie Nick Fury, Maria Hill and Coulson Marvel Legends.

Modern Gamora is coming 2016 and Captain Marvel (female) for 3.75" line.

Marvel Legends Nova was one of the best selling figures they've had and already talking about a second wave of Guardians of the Galaxy figures.

Infinite Series -

Wave 1: Black Cat, Big Time Spider-Man, Bishop, Jim Lee Beast, Sandman, Swap Classic Grey Beats and all sand Sandman.

Wave 2: Thunderstrike, Doc Ock, Juggernaut Colossus, Armored Daredevil, Vulture, Shanna and Nothstar

More Marvel Legends:

Star-Lord, Gamara Classic Look, Groot, Drax 5 pack coming next year. Not announcing where it will be sold.

Marvel Legends Magik & Dormammu are coming, don't know when or where.

Dwight would like to see Reevers Marvel Legends. ROM Marvel Legends is not possible.

Bulldozer would have been in 2015 wave 1 but it would not have fit due to size with Odin but they are still working on getting it out. Made a hint it could end up being a Build-A-Figure for a future Marvel Legends wave this year.

Some of the delays like with Hawkeye and Iron Fist has allowed them to go back and improve them. Iron Fist will have multiple kung-fu hands.

Vehicles would be very tough for Marvel Legends. Jesse Falcon says he's glad they never released the one Toy Biz was working on because it would have been terrible.

They might try and test higher price point IE larger figures since they haven't lost much in the way of sales from the $20 6" basic figures.

Key characters they say that they will try to get more solid cases released to help fans the figures in demand in their hands.

X-Men figures for Marvel Legends we probably wouldn't see until 2016 when X-Men: Apocalypse movie comes out.

Panel Ends.

Thanks for this brief info! I stand corrected on the MI figures, still not quite a lot but I'm actually fine with it. Less $ spent :P

Oh and of course I must snag the 2014 SDCC Exclusive. That's a huge must for me. lol

Yes Magik is a must for me as well, especially if they're doing her MN costume :) I just really hope she gets released unlike the ones that were announced last year that didn't :(

warmachine6 07-28-2014 10:27 AM

Dormammu as well :3 maybe for a strange movie o.O [dramatic music]

redfox 07-28-2014 11:08 AM

Don't forget lately Hasbro has been teasing the next SDCC boxset in the panel. In 2012, Hasbro teased Moonstone and we got the Thunderbolts team pack at SDCC 2013. In 2013, Hasbro teased Star-Lord and now we got him in the Thanos Imperative boxset. Looks like next year's exclusive could include Magik or Dormammu. Or maybe even both.

The upper legs appear to be different too, as they don't have the same texture.

When is the SDCC stuff supposed to show up on HasbroToyShop? I'm hearing it's this Wednesday.

Wednesday...good sources say it's Wednesday?

SteveGo 07-28-2014 01:33 PM

Last year it was the Wednesday following the Con, the years previous it was always the Monday following the Con. It's anyone's guess really.

Not true. Last year it was Wed, the year before was also Wed, the one before that was Tuesday, and the one before THAT was Monday. Never at the same time, either.

Basically there's no way to tell, and they're going to all sell out in 20 mins anyway, so your best bet is to F5 HTS all day Tuesday until they show up.

Does anyone have a link to a podcast of the ML release panel? Much obliged:)

Serious Lee 07-28-2014 05:16 PM

Last year the SDCC box sets were 2 maximum per buyer on HTS, while I don't know how long it took for the T-Bolts set or the MU Masters of Evil set to sell out, I'm hoping that Hasbro is seeing the light on these lines in that if they made more of this years' Thanos set comparatively to past exclusives that they would still sell out, if not in the first week, likely shortly after. I'm hoping to get an ML set or two this week, but if not my hopes will change to how else can I get one! Lol, it's all good, even if I need to pay a little more, just not the $180 as is current on eBay.

Axe2024 07-28-2014 05:53 PM

I believe it took over 45 minutes for the Marvel exclusives to sell out last year. The Boba fett sold out in like 10 minutes. I remember losing the fett while it was in my cart because my browser was acting up in the moment. I also remember the thunderbolt set was up for much longer than the tacopool set.

CoolToysOnly 07-28-2014 07:19 PM

Will refresh like a maniac, they will be mine... Haha probably not since I will be at work, but it's nice to see Hasbro Toy Shop sell these SDCC exclusives to the general public. It's very annoying that basically if you buy any toys at SDCC they are instantly put up on Ebay for at least twice or sometimes triple value. Lame

Agreed, although I just picked up the Koto Spider-Woman Con figure for a decent amount, so yeah depends on what the figure is. Surprisingly there was no digital subscription figure this year like it was last few years. But that's good.

I'm sorry, they're action figures. There's OKcupid and Craigslist if you need better.

lol...Okcupid and Craigslist might cost LESS than legends these days....lol

VashTS 07-29-2014 07:37 AM

I asked PixelDan to ask Hasbro about the X-Men movie figures, he asked Dwight and his female counterpart avoided the question and instead led DAn towards the upcoming X-Men TRU exclusive line...completely avoiding the question. Dan put his fake smile on and I congratulate him on asking that question.

Sad Hasbro will not be honest about the situation : (
