Throw me in as someone who is echoing the idea that Hasbro needs to repaint that new Magneto figure with classics colors. Maybe Hasbro will do a two pack of some kind with a new Professor X in a hover chair and a classic Magneto. They're doing enough 90's X-Men stuff that I would fit.
I also saw someone mention that they would have liked to have seen that white costume with the black lines. I would have dug that too.

Captain Nash 04-20-2018 07:16 AM

I have no doubt we'll get a classic Magneto at some point. Single carded, in a two pack, or a set I'm not sure, but there's no chance it's not happening. Same with FA Storm. At some point we're going to get her in some way.

K Dubious 04-20-2018 07:43 AM

Just wondering why everyone acts like the Jubilee Magneto isn't out there? Everyone seems to know we will see the new mold in his classic colors, yet Hasbro already released it...

I know he fetches a pretty penny and everyone that missed him wants that version, I just find it weird when no one mentions it when talking of possible future releases of Magneto.

Hell, they could do a classic Magneto repaint in a second vintage card line or something.

No idea why anyone wants a Magneto with black and white lines though. I thought that looked awful and from one of the worst iterations of X-Men I have ever read.

I guess the correct description would be a classic Magneto that is decent. I am not one to quibble over the rarity or price of a figure, if it exists and it's a well done figure, then to me it's done. You either can afford/find it or not. But a badly done figure will always need a remake. And all the classic Magneto figures we've had have been badly done. In fact, the Marvel Select would be the best one but he is of course out of scale.

Because it's so awful we collectively decided to purge it from our memories haha

Besides it coming as part of an extremely rare wave that not too many people were able to find, it's just not a very good figure. Outdated body, horrible head sculpt, significant proportion issues and IIRC, the hands didn't even have a wrist joint.

This new Apocalypse wave Magneto is looking to be the best Marvel Legends Magneto by a long shot, but unfortunately it's not in his iconic costume, which is a big missed opportunity IMO. And what makes it even worse is that the unhelmeted head sculpt is clearly inspired by his appearance in the 90s.

Boy Blunder 04-20-2018 09:26 AM

I don't have a problem with the new Magneto - while it's not the classic look, it's a striking color scheme (I'm admittedly a sucker for red-on-black) and, for me at least, it's a better option than the black-and-white costume. Either way, he'll be a good stand-in until there's a classic Magneto made from the mold... maybe even with an alternate Joseph head that I can then pop onto this one.

SymbiSpidey 04-20-2018 09:36 AM

To be honest, I'm not sure what costume Magneto is wearing on the Legends figure. It's definitely a more modern look, but I don't think it's the Marvel Now costume, since that one was black and white, right? Is it what he's currently wearing?

I mean, it's not a bad look, but it's just not as visually appealing as the purple and red for me, plus I'm not sure where he'd fit in costume-wise in my collection, since my main X-Men display is probably gonna be a mixture of 80s/90s X-Men.

It's from Cullen Bunn's Uncanny X-men. The run that ran from early 2016-early 2017.

K Dubious 04-20-2018 11:25 AM

The Jubilee wave Magneto is not that bad IMO. The mold is actually the Agent Venom body. Only differences are the gloves, boots, and head.

I am not a big fan of the bulky biceps, I think they were made that way to not hinder gloved hands when moving. I also have never liked the ball jointed hips. Other than that I think that Magneto is the best. I'm not sure what the gripes about the head are, I like the way the helmeted head looks. I guess to each their own, I must have missed the whole you are not supposed to like this figure memo...

Harbinger 04-20-2018 11:37 AM

The jubes wave magneto issues i had were his giant clown shoes feet and the fixed hands.

*technically* it's the Face-Off Punisher mold from the Toybiz days :D most people seem to habe many problems with it, like:

The obvious hip balls
No wrists
The cape not laying properly
The face makes him look doofy
The double hinge elbows throw off the look of the arms
The red parts have an odd texture

So... Yeah.. Haha

Penguino 04-20-2018 11:47 AM

Anyone happen to have the Dormammu Iron Fist flame effects and the clear ignited hands? Found one without accessories really cheap, it's cool but feels lacking.

Scored a giant lot of Legends recently.

I have him but I dislike him. As most people have said, he looks weird and the head sculpt, to me, looks awful. I have since made a custom as a stand in but I would like an official version. I don't plan on selling Magneto anytime soon since it's the only classic version I have, but I would like an update.

SymbiSpidey 04-20-2018 12:07 PM

It'd probably be fairly easy to put together a custom Magneto using the Red Guardian figure as a base, no?

Wipe off the star, paint his crotch purple (lol), find some way of giving him his classic boots + gloves, then throw a cape on him. Wouldn't even have to worry about paint rub really.

That has more to do with the fact that he was almost impossible to find along with storm.

Agreed. I was crossing my fingers really hard hoping that was the look they were going to go with in this wave until the pics got released.

Found and bought the Vision and Scarlet Witch 2 pack at TRU today. Also got 90s Deadpool at Game stop.

They're all great figures, but DP is something special. Might be my favorite Legends figure.

Augustus_Cole 04-20-2018 04:25 PM

is there any difference in the cap in the 3 pack that came with Ms. Marvel and Radioactive Man and the others that were released????
