Avengers Attack! (for anyone wondering, yes it was a bitch trying to get hulk to balance on one foot. Thank god those rocker ankles are nice and tight though!)

Being that this is the ML Appreciation thread, I feel its befitting to post the following.

I've always been a 3.75" guy, previously feeling (and stating) that 6" figs were more like dolls than action figures... but after assembling my first 6" squad w WM Avengers, I am a little blown away by the bad assery that are ML figs. Very pleasantly surprised. These figs are outfreakingstanding.

I have heard here and there that the WM Avengers are an exception to this quality and that other ML are not as cool looking. Regardless of the whispers, I just want to show my support and appreciation while I eat some crow.

I wouldn't consider 6'' figures dolls, I could consider 12'' figures dolls as same size as barbie. But I think you could consider calls 3.75'' figures the same thing. A lot of MU figures are based off ML figures, so for the most part the 6'' figures are identical just larger, more articulation, higher resell value, but also more cost upfront. Figues like cable, deadpool, blade, sasquatch, gambit, hulkbuster iron man, etc all amazing figures and far superior then their 3.75'' counterpart.

Red and regular hulk get some decent money moc, deadpool, and abomination aren't as desireable and can be found loose and moc cheap enough. Ultimate hulk if that's the big grey version is so so, he's desireable to some and a blah to others. Deadpool maybe worth $$ down the road, but atm is around retail.

I went by a local store called Neutral Zone today, and they had an amazing selection of Marvel Legends, but everything was soooo expensive. Imagine how expensive they are on eBay, and then add another $20-50 and thats what they were charging. Such a shame.... they had that really rare Stealth Iron Man that everyone loves too, but I think the guy wanted $180 for it.

Wow!! It's like a scalper meets retail! $180 is the absolute top high end price I would pay for that figure, and that's factoring in he's 10/10 moc and shipped.

How's the business there?

ChuckSass 06-15-2012 05:26 PM

theres a pawn shop by my highschool that has M.O.O.D.O.K complete if anyone's looking for it. I can call in an ask how much they are asking for it…

I also have a M.O.O.D.O.K. head I don't want…

DogFashionDisco 06-15-2012 05:38 PM

It was weird, they are only open between 4pm-7pm. While I was there two other guys walked in, looked around, and left so probably not so good. The store looked more like an excuse to have a big collection - I doubt that store will stay open for very long. I did find one thing there though, this weird little Hulk figure. He was tossed in with a bin of old cartoony Toybiz stuff.

If you guys know more about it, please post your insights in this thread:

I'd probably keep the DP MOC since we're getting a DP in Wave 3 this Fall. I'm sure they're going to nail that figure.

They have a lot of badass figures in this line, but The Avengers movie cast all completely owned their roles in my opinion, so to me, those figures/cast members ARE Cap, Thor, The Hulk, etc,.. that's why they're the best for me, but this line definitely has some great figures. Be careful... there's a lot out there.

Loki and Hulk are probably tied for my favorites of these. It's like Tom Hiddleston is actually standing on my shelf.
