There's a late run Cap going around with redone hair and facial painting to try and make it look a bit better.

WHOO! Silver and Black just got dropped from Sony's schedule!!! No more terrible, rushed world-building movies and no terrible tie-in toys to clog shelves!!! Just too bad for anyone hoping for a comic Silver Sable or new Cat, but I guess those could easily be slipped in a Spidey wave

Fans of the idea of the S&B movie and of BC and SS please know I mean no disrespect to you personally. I think they're interesting characters and you absolutely had a right to want this movie. But I personally think it's a good thing it's dropped. How many different movie franchises are we seeing pumping out stuff at the rate of Marvel, taking shortcuts to try and build their universe off of characters that no one (in the general audience not comic fans) has a vested interest in? It's my complaint about the DCU and it's my complaint about Sony's Spider-Man universe.or whatever it is trying to be. Sure superhero movies are first and foremost action movies, visual and special effects buffets. But if you don't care about the characters, you're ultimately not going to be left feeling empty. No matter how many virtual crab rangoons you eat. And without movies doing the heavy lifting of character development before tossing out tons of spin offs, that's all there is. Empty visual calories.

I think once Venom drops people will realize that Sony has no real interest in putting in the effort to do good world-building, they just want that sweet sweet "connected universe" money and are hoping once they can get a couple flicks in the can that they can take Spider-Man back from Disney and do their own universe and not haveta share profits haha

Maybe they can share a universe with that failed Universal Horror series that they keep trying to plan. :p Imagine, Tom Cruise as Carnage and Godzilla as a symbiote..oh wait that second one is actually kind of a cool thought. :D

What I"m hoping for is at least two maybe three waves next year. My thoughts on some things include:

MCU Corvus Glaive and Ebon Maw. I think these two are givens why would they give us just two of the four CoT?
I think it's also a safe bet we WILl see a single MCU Vision. Because repack. Because Hasbro. And likely that Scarlet Witch too.
One comic villain per wave, you know I'm hoping for Nefaria or Graviton, but who really knows.
One non Avenger comic hero per wave: Mach II/IV/LLCIV/LLLLLLLL anyone? And Citizen V becuase polls.
One comic Avenger per wave: Quasar? Moondragon? Tigra? They are likely.
I could see them stuffing an Inhuman per wave in there. I'd say Crystal, also an Avenger, would be a given if they do. Maximus or Karnak would be the other I'd think, becuase no one really wants Triton or Gorgon do they?
And that's a good 12 of the 14 figures (or of 21 if they have three waves). The other of which would be taken up by your standards in MCU. Iron Man, Spider Man and the like.

BAF Lockjaw and that is all that matters.

Looking back I realize that's very comic heavy. I can see them going that route for a total of 8 figures and maybe one extra for three waves. If they only have two waves I can see them taking it down to 6 comic figures total, removing either the Inhumans or the Non Avengers hero. But still Lockjaw because Lockjaw.

Not bad. My guess/hope for a hypothetical third wave would be something along the lines of:

War Machine (Infinity War)
Shuri (Infinity War)
Ebony Maw (Infinity War)
Classic Thor
Classic Iron Man
Count Nefaria
Starfox

I'm just hoping the initial announcement of the Silver and Black flick gave Sable enough spotlight for Hasbro to look in her general direction. Fingers-crossed that her figure is already mapped out for a 2019 release.

Not going to lie, if they dropped a Godzilla vs planet of the symbiots movie I’d see it.
As far as more IW figures, my guess is they’ll hold off till the dvd release, or (assuming a number of the same characters will be in Av4 ) maybe just release them then. Just from the set leaked pics for Av4 I’m betting on a fair number of re-releases.

I feel like that's why they went with that look for Mary. Otherwise they probably would've just done her original 80s look. We know Hasbro likes to plan ahead when introducing characters who have parts that can be reused for future figures. I'm pretty confident X-Men wave 4 will have Emma and Gambit (using Multiple Man's coat).

The furry bits on Shuri's cape also look like they could be reused for Emma's costume.

I swear if they start doing regular releases of women in corsets then Selene damn well better get a figure.

Veronica Mars 06-01-2018 08:42 PM

I saw the new Spider Woman at Walmart, why is her head so big?

It's not canceled, the script is being rewritten, and a new release date is being considered.

They say that now, but after Venom bombs they will change that.

Tomax 06-02-2018 09:05 AM

i think hasbro should make a M'Baku movie figure, i would buy it. he did a superb job with his role. the comic version looks alittle silly.

I agree the movie version looks great. I would buy him but probably not as a BAF if the rest of the wave wasn't interesting to me. I wouldn't want it THAT much. I agree the comic version looks a little silly, but there's a ton of characters out there that look silly I'd want. I'd still buy him. Of course, the fact that he looks silly isn't why they chose another visual route. Not trying to open a can of worms either...it's something the creators have commented on as well.

Harbinger 06-02-2018 09:49 AM

They could always just include the helmet. That way those who want him mcu could have that and comic fans could have a comic-esque version. Win win.

Tomax 06-02-2018 09:54 AM

good idea nitelife ^^^

Spyne98 06-02-2018 11:03 AM

I agree with Tomax, great idea there NiteLife. That would make me happy!
