Probably end up similar to the Star Wars Vintage collection. $15-16 each. though if you look at what Spin Masters, Jakks and Jazwares put out for $10, I think a Disney is big part of the price hike. Star Wars and Marvel are probably the 2 biggest properties on the planet so Disney wants a bigger cut, and Hasbro has to charge more to make their profits.

Kernel 02-17-2023 09:34 AM

^ yeah that would be my guess as well

Great point. I'd be OK paying more as long as the quality and value was there. I'm even ok with less articulation as long as it's a little above 7 poa at least. That retro line has some good looking figures but the 7 poa just doesn't do it for me with only swivels

Disney haven't done a playset. This is really worrying. Wakanda Forever didn't get one either. Those figures are great for fleshing out a collection.

You could not live with the rising costs of plastic. Where did that bring you? Back to 4".

Madame Warlock 02-27-2023 06:49 PM

It looks like a return to 4" for the "Main" toy lines, anyway, these do look similar to the Spinmaster, or more specifically the old Spider-man line that was similarly articulated. With an expanding Marvel universe and cost of living forcing people into smaller homes with cheaper things, it makes sense that the kids figures at least are back to this size. 6" never made sense for kids toys anyway, IMO - even outside of my won 4" preference, even 5 was better, unless you're going for "big" toys like the titan heroes but those are generally just for the kids favourites.

Because we're going into the multiverse angle with excuses for tons of variants it doesn't make sense to go that big.

I'm hoping thee's more in this wave, maybe a new regular Spiderman and . And with the price being at $10 like the Spinmaster, it opens up the possibility of more premium "black series" figures for $15 - I imagine most people will be collecting a mix of both. Here's hoping anyway - but at the very least I'm glad to have a new 4" Venom as y'all know I was looking for one(Love my Retro collection one too, but hard to pass this one up).

Just hope they fix the scale issues - I'd be into that Miles if it wasn't for him being the same height as Venom. Hopefully the movie figures will be back to 4" soon - I've wanted a Spider Gwen for God knows how long, plus Spider-man India et. all would be neat to have.

snake5289 02-27-2023 07:19 PM

Neat. Here's hoping for a Spider-Gwen.

Madame Warlock 02-27-2023 08:24 PM

They seem to avoid girl figures because they "Don't sell" but have no problem putting them in the MLs I guess. It'd be really stupid not to make her either in the rest of this wave or the next one given she's pretty much the secondary protagonist of the Spiderverse stuff and has never gotten a figure in this scale.

Here's hoping for a Silk, too.

Autobot_Goldbug 02-27-2023 08:27 PM

I hope they are 4 inch & not 5 inch like some of the past kids figures are
they will need to put out some characters I don't have yet like yes Spider-Gwen! Silk .... COMIC Scorpion ... Kingpin
I think most of the other Spider-verse were already made in MU. Sorry don't want a Spider-Punk

edit ok found some more pics from Hisstank...

Those are all excellent choices except I do very much want a Spider Punk lol

Nanners how we never got a Kingpin in this scale

and yeah looks like they're definitely 4 inch even says it on the package

https://www.hisstank.com/forum/attac...7584827479.jpg

Oh no, I prefer this Miles to the old one, going to have to pick him up lol. It sucks having Spidermen without any waist articulation - normally I'm not a fiend for articulation but for a Spiderman it does get to me. Still, the figure looks great!

These will only be good for effects and or weapons other than that overpriced kid figures

Wow these don't look half bad venom looks bad ass. It seems like they have just run out of ideas in 6" legends and are scraping the bottom of the barrel. Even the hardcore legends collectors and hasbro apologists are stepping away

Torso articulation would go a long way on these guys.

I’d take a double hinge in the knees over torso, but that’s also easier to customize than torso if I feel like they really need it. Just a bit more articulation would have been nice.
What I really want is more characters. It is crazy how long popular characters like Spider Gwen and Ms Marvel have been around and we haven’t gotten a single figure in this scale

Yeah this for me is the bare minimum but I'll take it.

Id also love more spidey villians... kingpin, carrion and scorpion just to name a few

I don't understand this, the Venom looks pretty good and could easily have been one of the older MU-era Spider-man figures. Yeh the figs don't have the best articulation(neither did the other ones) and paint apps are a bit more basic, but that's far from being useless. If nothing else it's new sculpts to play around with. They're not that far off from the last batch of MU figures if we're honest.

I'd be stoked to get a Gwen in this scale. Yeah, I'd like to have a more collectory figure and hope we get that, but there is an appeal to the cleaner less overly segmented look too.

There's a bit of a female character curse, for sure. Like we got the old version of Quasar at a time when the Phyla Vell version would have made way more sense. Tbf they did come at a time when the 4 inch stuff was winding down a *little* but they still had what, 4-5 years to make them?

Also regarding the legs, the hip joints do look a little odd but keep in mind that when you compare it to a lot of other hip joints in this scale they're not necessarily any worse just different, it's really hard to do good hip joints in general. Toybiz Marvel Legends had a bunch of different ways of doing it.

Ninjinister 03-01-2023 05:44 PM

Not sure if these are bootlegs are what (the brand reads "ZD") but Aliexpress has cheap-ass 3.75" new AVENGERS ENDGAME/INFINITY SAGA MCU FIGURES!

https://www.facebook.com/118Archive/...zHhac5SXV4Y9bl

You can see how they stack up in the comments. Hulk and Thanos are undersized but everybody else fits in. God I hope there are more of these. It would be lovely to get "in" on so many movie and TV characters we got shafted outta.

Dang I hope we get those here.

Also found venom at target today he looks good.the paint is really sharp. If anything I can paint him gray and have a riot. They had 2 venoms an iron spiderman and a miles spidey. I passed on the other 2 since I got the marvel universe ones

Looks like the only articulation is the shoulder and hips.. any idea if they are ball joints or swivels?

Just order them off aliexpress. I have Iron Man and Iron Spider on the way as they looked like the best ones.

Madame Warlock 03-04-2023 10:31 PM

It seems there's a lot of news coming out about these, like apparently MCU figs going forward are going to be this scale. That's pretty huge. I'd love if they brought back the old movie 2-Packs, the Thor Ragnarok ones were some of the best figures.

Huh. Didn't see that coming. Maybe they saw what Spin Master has been doing with DC.

Still crossing my fingers for a Spider-Gwen. And I wouldn't say no to a new Spider-Man 2099.

That’s awesome! I bet one of those waves is definitely going to be Guardians of the Galaxy. Hopefully they do movie versions like spin masters have been doing, but similar comic versions would be cool too. Hopefully we get a wave based off the Marvels movie, but with three female leads I could see them skipping it because of the “female figures don’t sell” garbage.
