i've been kind of off the guardians bandwagon but ngl I would probably buy the whole wave of Guardians - sucks there'll be no Phyla Vell or Moon Dragon but at least we'll *finally* get a Mantis in this scale, just wish it was in her Movie 2 outfit, but who knows.

Guessing second is Avengers/X-men and last is The Marvels - numbers seem right for Carol, Kamala, Monica, Fury and Zawe Ashton's villain. I'd rather we get a TV costume Kamala though. They might push that out until next year though.

Any guesses for the regular Avengers/X-men line?

Unfortunately we're probably going to be getting yet another Iron Man, Thor, Cap, maybe a Hulk. Likely one or two of the big X-men like Cyclops and Wolverine - hopefully Krakoa Era Cyclops, would like to see current costume Jean Grey too.

For a Curveball - Magik, Elektra Daredevil, Shuri Black Panther, Monet, Sunspot, current Comic Wanda

I'm sure they'll go as boring as possible for the first year, but who knows. At least we're getting 4" figs again I guess - I just wish they'd re-release the old MUs for the generic guys, they were fine. Hopefully they'll skip a lot of them since we already just got the retros.

Artic 66 03-06-2023 04:17 PM

If these are all going to be cartoon/comic versions I’m hoping that sign on the side that says “for kids” is an indication we might get a new adult line or MU reboot, similar to Star Wars vintage collection. Maybe like an MCU legacy line to catch us up on all the movies they have missed over the years.

The line is Dead for now

If you’re into MVL legends Retro 3.75, MrStevie18 on IG has a video up that explains the situation. In summary tho after an awesomely colorful run, we are resting MVL legends Retro 3.75 for the time being. Go check out Steve’s video for a better explanation

snake5289 03-06-2023 07:21 PM

Can't' say I'm broken up about the retro figures going away.

Good Riddance! :p
Those things peg warmed a lot.
There is a whole glut of Super7's G.I. Joes too. Target routinely puts those Super7 Reaction figures on clearance. They must be getting a good wholesale price to keep doing that instead of just dropping them.

Kernel 03-06-2023 09:36 PM

^ agreed

Wow I'm excited to see what they come up with. I still need quite a few spidey villains

Yeah I hope that "for kids" saying is a good thing for us 3.75" fans and not some type of Dwight stall troll move

I wouldn't put it past him.

Comedian 03-07-2023 05:15 AM

Well, definitely some big holes in the retro collection, but still a good run. I had always wanted a true secret wars style line. Those were the toys I had until toybiz. We found them at flea markets and garage sales but I had almost all of them….and still have a few.

It seems there are many changes happening in the toy industry right now, I’m not sure where they will take us….if anywhere.

Madame Warlock 03-07-2023 06:35 AM

The problem with those Retro style figs is that they're pretty neat and well made but not worth what they charge for them.

I’m hopeful for the W2 of Spidey. Really want a Spider Gwen. She seems likely. After that any villian will do. I’d assume we will get 2 Spideys and then the rest will be different characters - hopefully.

Yeah but it's better than the almost double Super7 charges for the same quality.

Autobot_Goldbug 03-10-2023 12:24 PM

these are just weird

There's a lot of Spidey villains that are badly needed in this scale, Kingpin obviously for starters, but also ones that were harder to get like Lizard, Scorpion, Carnage. Jackal would be nice too.

These look better than the monster themed stuff that came out last year

Yeah I've been seeing those at the discount stores

I'd love a jackal! Especially if he came with a clone set... Ben Reilly, Kaine and tarantula

Artic 66 03-13-2023 10:05 AM

I picked up Miles yesterday. Seems like a pretty decent figure, these are a bit shorter than MU but I think it fits well since he is a younger character. The hip joints are ok, I still prefer the ball joints. I think the only thing I would really wish they would change is using double hinge knees

I think they are all right. It’s essentially an Avengers line with a gimmick to try and sell it. Thor is terrible. Sam has a bad head sculpt. Ultron is just weird. The rest look pretty decent.

I thought these mech strike figures were a continuation of the 5 inch figures from the last 2 years. Didn’t realize this was the second wave of 4 inch figures. I like how Hasbro comes up with a new model to sell figures at the $10 price point then immediately starts packaging them with an accessory that doubles the price.

snake5289 03-18-2023 10:19 AM

I saw the Hulk yesterday but passed.

Thanks for posting this. I wish we'd get some new characters... and agreed it's like hasbro goes out of their way to screw over 4" collectors

Where?

snake5289 03-18-2023 11:02 PM

Oh sorry. It was at Wal-Mart.

Autobot_Goldbug 03-19-2023 12:05 AM

so 2 Iron Men
it's like they didn't learn their lesson from before

I know right! At least they did the Sam version of Cap this time.

I think Ultron looks decent. It’s kinda weird, but its nice to have different versions of the character.

Madame Warlock 03-19-2023 01:29 PM

They have Shuri and Shang Chi, two currently popular characters who've never received a figure in this scale, in the Mechasaurus series and these are the guys they made.
