I know that because of how the suit works he can't hold his helmet by his side but that's still probably something I'll do because it'll look nice. I already intend to get the pack but like almost everyone else I agree Ross should've been replaced with a more interesting character. I like Martin Freeman but as a figure Shuri or Klaue would've been more appreciated.

Some people (like myself) grew up with brown and tan Wolverine and (again, like myself) absolutely hate the yellow and blue. It might be the "original" outfit, but the brown and tan looked like something that could be made out of leather and looked more "masculine" and thus more fitting for the character.

In my opinion, anyway.

(Plus the X-Men Wave 1 one is, I think, the first one that is height-accurate for the scale. Wolverine is short.)

Don’t get me wrong, that’s my go to wolverine costume as well, but I thought the brighter colors, plus the mask less head, and pulled down mask, and silver claws made the vintage carded release more appealing, the jugs wave one had zero accessories ( unless you count interchangeable hands) the Brown was so dark it looks almost black and the claws were translucent white they’re basically the exact same figure, but, even loose the Juggs wave version is getting a better price.

MeLikeJinx 06-05-2018 02:39 PM

^ ^ LOL. Again with the Flock of Seagulls joke.

I like both, but yah... brown suit wolverine will always be the best for me. That's why I'm not really worried about finding the Apocalypse wave yellow and blue Wovlerine since I already got Juggernaut wave Wolverine as my default. I like the snarling expression on the new Wolverine though.

I know that waiting can be a risky endeavor with this hobby, since it can sometimes result in losing out on a given figure while it's still at a retail price. But it can also pay off quite well, given the right circumstances. Hell, look at how many characters got recycled to some extent or another from the SDCC sets in recent years.

It definitely paid off for me because I remember being crazy tempted to get the sdcc x-force set for Psylocke, but then I just had to wait... like what... 6 years. LOL. I wonder how long I gotta wait for a new Legends Jim Lee Jean Grey to pop up again... that's my only regret now... not picking that up for $40 at a local toy show just before the Juggernaut Wave was announced. Luckily I bought Archangel the one and only time I saw him for $28... but no way would I have passed on him since he is my fav comic character of all-time.

Augustus_Cole 06-05-2018 03:44 PM

If anyone needs Malekith from the new wave...no BAF... hollar.

Both of the Wolverines that kylactus was talking about are the Brown costume; the Yellow/Blue Tigerstripe costume had nothing to do with the question. The Vintage wave one is just the same figure as the X-Men wave one, but with a somewhat lighter brown, and unmasked head, a "pulled-down mask" piece, and actually painted arm hair.

VashTS 06-05-2018 04:09 PM

I think the movie sucked, but putting money down for that Killmonger 2 pack. I assume this is Hasbro's new strategy.

Masked version for BAF, and unmasked for an insane 2 pack which features a character everybody wants and a character no one asked for, on a reused buck....at least that is my pessimistic look at it.

Sorry, after seeing the vintage wave Iron Man and noting that he was more 5" in scale (significantly shorter than Legends versions) I didn't look at the vintage one. I thought he'd mentioned yellow and blue.

The Vintage line would be better if Hasbro tries a weeeee bit more. More neon/bright colors and more pack in. 20 dollars for a repaint without a BAF is a tough sell imo. I hope they actually make a Cyclops with eye beams....but we know it will be a Cyclops with a unmasked Daredevil/Hawkeye unmasked head and MAYBE extra hands for left AND right eye beam usuage.

DrChupa 06-05-2018 04:32 PM

They also need to decide on a scale. I was on my way to the checkout with that Iron Man (love that armor) when I stopped to grab a Ragnarok Thor I needed, but when I saw the difference in size, it just dropped the wind out of my sails. We already have 3.75" and 6", we don't need 4.87", or whatever those are. They are very, very nice-looking, brighter figures though.

The Vintage line could be great, but it's seriously hampered by the fact that it largely exists to recycle older molds. I also think the Modular Armor Iron Man would've been more popular than the Neo-Classical suit.

I have a request, for anyone that owns it, does the Tom Holland head fit on the Iron Spider figure? If so could someone take a picture of it?

Thanks in advance!

Well...here's a picture of it...

Now the bad news, it actually doesn't fit. You'll have to do some sanding or dremel work somewhere. Sand down the neck peg, and the regular Iron Spider head won't fit. Dremel the Holland head, and it'll fit right on Iron Spider, but will fall loosely off of your Homecoming figure.

Oh Hasbro...you slay me with this stupidity...

I hear Ya. I Love all the Outfits of Wolverine. I think his height is perfect with the Juggernaut Wolverine Buck. The Astonishing Wolverine Outfit is my Fav. I have Brown Suite and Tiger Stripe are on the way along with X23 both Wolverine and X-Force versions all with Metal Claws..

I'm wondering when the next Avengers wave will be dropping. (Minor IW spoilers)

https://i2.wp.com/heroisx.com/wp-con...oncept-art.jpg

I'm guessing we'll see a War Machine, possibly that Hulk. Ant-Man, Rocket, Nebula and Thor will likely all be sitting out due to having gotten figures recently and not changing costumes, and Captain Marvel will likely get one for her own movie.

juggernaut209 06-05-2018 07:07 PM

I think we are about due for a new Hawkeye.

What.

Why? How did they manage to make 4 MCU Spideys and fail to have them have the same size neck ball?

Yep....

Thanks for taking the time to do that!

@Hasbroherofan: Thanks for posting the pics! Dark World Sif is on the top of my "wants" for this series, and she looks brilliant!

Still no sign of Spiderman wave or Infinity War wave 2 around here. I am sure we will get Infinity War wave 2 eventually but I think Spiderman passed us over.

I agree. His character always gets the short straw when it comes to figures. I mean howmany gotdamn caps iron men thors etc have we gotten since mcu began....hawk gets one bloody tigure? Hell black widows gotten more figuresthan poor clint. Hopefully with avengers 4 we get him in his ronin guise along with scavenger in her white outfit at the end of ragnarok and quicksilver ( hopefully they bring him back in avengers 4 ).

Dr Kain 06-06-2018 07:24 AM

Not to mention that Hawkeye figure is pretty terrible. I hate it. Not only is the robot arm so skinny looking, but he can't even hold his bow properly. One shake and the bow falls out of his hand.

Also, is there a reason they didn't just give the bow a real string instead of some plastic thing? I loved it as a kid when Robin Hood came with a bow with an actual string so you could launch the arrows across your room.
