The great thing about Luke Cage is that you can easily use him as a comic version if you're not feeling the one on the Hyperion body.

Because there are only about four people who like Netflix Iron Fist while Claire Temple is a fan favourite? I mean I'm sure a Netflix Danny is inevitable still, I'm genuinely happy and surprised they made Claire.

Edit: According to Marvelous Toy News this is confirmed as a Walmart exclusive two-pack with a $50usd price tag.

I'm one of those four people that liked Iron fist, and I adore Rosario Dawson, and that Luke looks brilliant.
By the way, those claws on Clare remind me of the original Cat AKA Tigra, whose Hellcat used after. So that's interesting...

Rosario Dawson is the reason that faces were invented, and I will not abide any insult aimed her direction.
Seriously though, this Luke Cage is long overdue. If it's legitimate (pretty low rez imagery for 2018), then I'm very happy.

That's a decent two pack. Kind of wish it were the SDCC exclusive, as I like it but not enough to try and go through the hassle of getting it. Then again it's a walmart exclusive that is not much better these days.

I wasn't a fan of Iron Fist either, but it doesn't change the fact that I feel we should have received him before receiving a Claire figure. Whether we like it or not though, Iron Fist was an integral part of the plot to the Defenders series . I would have have said this to just about any other character as well with the exception of Kingpin and maybe Misty.

It does give me hope however that we will see a Colleen and Danny Rand two pack now.

Wasn't really an insult, I just hated that she was the sole connecting point to the Defenders coming together really in the first pace. I wanted to see more interaction between the heroes before Defenders happened, but I know that would have nullified the payoff of that series. What made it worse was that most of it was entirely happenstance. It was John McClean levels of dumb luck and absurdity at times.

I do wish that Claire came with a medical bag similar to what The Walking Dead Carl figure came with, as opposed to a bunch of tiger claws.

Luke is very overdue. I'm happy we are finally getting him. I hope the Mike Colton head will fit on the Halo figures as well..

I don't agree. Claire was introduced a lot earlier than Iron Fist and is more popular than IF, it makes sense to release her first. He may have been central to Defenders but he was also the least popular part of the show so I don't feel that should earn him any favours.

I agree with you 100% I’d much rather Claire (who is actually one of my favorite characters) figure then the no personality of iron fist. I think they will just make another two pack with Iron first and Colleen wing. This pack is a instant buy.

I'm with you on this one Brown!! I will smack the taste buds smooth out the mouth of anyone talking bad about my 11th baby momma...... THOUGH..that figure's face doesn't seem to be catching the resemblance all that well.
..and ..when the hell did she have claws. I'm just going to assume it was later in Iron Fist which was just IMPOSSIBLE to watch for me. I watched as much of it as I could but I didn't want to gouge my eyes out...so i stopped..

Not my idea here just repeating something I saw on Fwoosh. I think they were joking but I'll pose it as a serious question. What would thoughts be on making a Professor Xavier w/ Hoverchair part of the SDCC exclusive? Maybe releasing a non hoverchair Xavier later on?

First, to all the people who are saying Luke should have been packed with Danny... why? Sure, they are Power Man and Iron Fist... in the comics. In the Netflix shows, they've only shared a handful of scenes together (and only one that I recall without Matt or Jessica there, too) and, thus far, have had almost zero chemistry beyond 'two people in the same room who are doing a thing together.' While the upcoming season of Luke Cage promises to build up their relationship (and likely finally give Danny the benefit of some halfway decent writing and directing), it hasn't happened yet, and hadn't happened when this pack was planned. Meanwhile, Luke and Claire have had a TON of chemistry, to the point where their relationship (on multiple levels) is one of the best ones across the Netflix line, and that's not even going into how, like it or not, she's been an important part of the Netflix shows.

Second, I'm pretty sure that Hasbro would like Danny to have a more iconic look before they make a figure of him. Short of 'beardy business suit whiteboy' and 'beardy homeless hipster whiteboy,' Danny didn't have any particular 'Iron Fist' outfit, unless you count him being shirtless and showing off his 'I drew this on with liquid latex' dragon tattoo. Which, really, are ANY of those compelling action figures if you don't already know that this random-looking guy is Danny Rand?

I agree that we should get a Danny figure, even if I haven't been a fan of his portrayal in the Netflix series (though I mostly chalk that up to behind-the-scenes crap, and have hope for him in the upcoming shows' seasons), but I want to see one that looks good enough to actually warrant that ~$20 price tag, not one that looks like he belongs in either 'The Walking Dead' or 'DC Multiverse.' If he gets a good outfit that says, 'Hey, this guy is Danny Rand, the Living Weapon, the Iron Fist,' then hell yeah, cast that in plastic. But until that happens, it would just be a Finn Jones action figure, and I'm pretty sure few people would want that.

Not to mention Iron Fist is not in the new season of Luke Cage, Claire is. Why would they release a figure of a character who isn't appearing in the upcoming season? Not to mention one that is dead right now?


Anyway, with all of these plain clothed figures lately, I'm surprised Hasbro doesn't make like Civilian five packs or something. They can easily mix and match pieces like the lower torso of Jessica Jones/MJ/Netflix Elektra with the upper torso of Dazzler to make a business woman. Chameleon's body for obviously a business man. This Claire body for some random girl on the street. Bruce Banner's body for some hipster on the street. Stan Lee's body for a guy at a Starschmucks.

Except that he is. That was confirmed back in April, and it sounds like it'll be a bit more than just a passing cameo (hence my comments on the upcoming season helping Danny with better writing and directing).

As for dead... who's dead? None of the heroes are dead, and neither are any of the villains that anyone cares about (IE Fisk)

I would actually buy this. Even if it's not of any "named" characters. What good is saving the world if the only ones on it are heroes and villains.

Great idea, or some kind of street battle pack. A hero, a villain, two or three civilians.

That's a pretty cool idea. I'd bite. Maybe they can't see the value in selling no name randoms? But it's still a cool idea! Maybe a 5 pack of named civilians would work, like Gwen Stacy or Aunt May and then give random heads to try to sell the packs to more people who do toy photography.

You guys are hilarious. You pine and whine page after page for figures that round out and complete your teams, and when I make the suggestion, you come back with "blah blah, MCU Iron Fist sucks..."

I wanted Iron Fist to be included with Cage because he COMPLETES the four core members of the team...not because I thought he was interesting, had a great back story or was a hot stud I want to have babies with (if that were possible.) Claire can (and should have) came later. She would have been just fine being released in a two or three pack with Misty and Colleen.

If we are doing civilian figures now, I want a God damn Foggy and Wesley.

Anyways...Claire is coming before Danny. I'm over it. I just hope they don't do him wrong and skip out on his love interest..because everyone else is getting theirs.

Hey, I'm not criticizing the need/desire for MCU Danny. I'm all for it. I'm just saying why Claire being in the two-pack makes more sense, and (likely) why a Danny figure hasn't been revealed yet.

Don't agree that he should have come before Claire. Hell, I'm still salty that Punisher and Elektra were in the first wave of figures, before Luke, Claire, Fisk, or Kilgrave (I mean, I get why, because they're recognizable enough names to drive their sales, in theory). But also, this is a two-pack. We're likely going to get some sort of single-release Luke as well, along with a Danny. The two-packs are most often used to get a figure out that the powers-that-be don't think will make it as well as a single release, alongside someone they're more certain will sell.

Either way, there's likely going to be some kind of wave released in conjunction with this pack, and we'll probably see some kind of Danny and Luke there as well.

I feel sure we will see a Netflix wave next year. Now, granted I am way behind (read, haven't watched anything but DD season 1) so I'm sure I'm missing some characters. But definitely Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Kingpin BAF? I said it last go around and I'm going to say it again as it needs to be done. Misty Knight? As I haven't followed the series as a whole I don't know who else...Cottonmouth maybe?

Fisk and Foggy would be a perfect choice and a definite buy. That being said I’d buy a Iron first Mcu to complete my team of defenders.
