Dammit, I’m just now finding IW wave 2 in comic shops.

Captain Nash 06-15-2018 12:53 PM

I just realized...that Wolverine, while the head sculpt is awesome...what exactly is going on in the crotch area? Wow. that sounds wrong. It looks like something is spilling out of her crotch joints. No, also sounds wrong....can someone please just tell me why she appears to have testicles?

Files this Under things you NEVER thought you'd say on an action figure forum.

It’s just the barbell that her legs attach to. For some reason it’s visible on the teenage female mold.

Makes sense. Hopefully once out of package and posed it won't be as noticeable. not that I go around staring at my figures crotches. LOL. but it's one of those things once you see it you can't UNsee it.

It's like when your older relative or friend of the family comes over sits down with some really short shorts and all of a sudden the berries are poppin out...

Brings a new meaning to Fruit of the Loom. :p

Exodus 06-15-2018 02:44 PM

Gah I swear these 6 inch versions are just bigger versions of the 3.75 duh i know but still I have all the 3.75 for most of these X-Men figures as it is...except a few handful which would be nice if they made them too...

As a collector of both lines I feel your pain. after the last couple of years esspecially I can't think of a single figure in ML that I could view my collection and say nope, "X" character is missing and the line won't feel complete without it (Polaris and Enchantress took care of that but Firestar likely comes closest). 3.75 line still has a good dozen figures I feel that way about, that if they could just get shrunk down we'd have them.

Trivial Psychic 06-15-2018 03:21 PM

Ten bucks says that Laura head will not fit on the current x-23 figure without modding it in some way, simply because Hasbro likes doing dumb s*** like that.

If that happens, I know exactly who to bitch at. :p

(jk, you're cool man!)

Exactly they did that with the Iron spider as well you can’t put on the Holland head from the two pack without modding. Hell that Kilmonger unmasked Head should have came with the single release.

And you know that won't fit on the original release, either. ....i Mean, not that you'd really need it to at that point but STILL.

I really wish I'd waited for on the single Killmonger. I don't often have many regrets but I do regret this because I AM NOT buying into that ploy again. It will only convince Hasbro this is the right marketing decision to make.

I also fully expect to see a bunch of Luara-rine the wild, figure untouched in the box, but sporting Sharon Carter or Okoye heads instead where the new head accessory should be.

Hence, Hasbro's need to continually **** with us.

If you think about it, Hasbro has perfected and introduced Action Figure DLC to us without many of us ever actually realizing it.

She's a great figure. I have to say, that a year later, whenever i see her in the store my heart skips a beat. Probably syndromes from long term #topofwishlist fulfillment.

HEY...BUDDY.....THIS IS THE 6" Legends line, save your chatter about the make believe, archaic toy line you are referring to, for some other dying thread. Don't make me scrub these posts to clean it up.:D

then take it to that CUSTOMS 3.75 in thread..they don't have anything else to talk about.....

((whispering))..<<prior to the Hulkbuster wave...all i collected was 3.75, but don't tell anyone>>

hasbroherofan 06-15-2018 06:30 PM

Speaking of 3.75 inch, I wonder if we'll ever see an upscaled version of the armored Hulk.

I'm glad someone is acknowledging this. I finally saw the wave proper in the neighboring county from me, at one store. They had everyone except Spiderman Noir and Mysterio. This wave literally never showed up in my area.

I think it's an ongoing problem with Spider-Man waves. About one in four waves gets good distribution, every other year. sadly that means that the three waves in between are rare because Hasbro/retail has ordered the shitload out of the other case. Think about it. short of the Abomination Wave, which was a rarity being a 3rd wave for a movie and likely just a bit...MUCH...for one brand in a year...what's been the hardest to find waves as a whole EVERY year? Spider-Man waves. Sandman wave certainly had its problems but got moderate distribution. Space Venom wave was practically MIA. Homecoming seemed a bit sparse as well but not completely absent. Now Lizard wave. Just...a damn mess. I get they want to promote their #1 character but they need to come up with some other way to ensure that retail will actually get the product. Otherwise why bother making it. Sorry. Rant over.

edit; @ DTL: AHAHAHAHAHA (to the hidden message, thank you for the honestly! LOL) To the main comment I don't "do" customs...though I've been meaning to. but because I suck at it. All I would be doing on that forum is boohooing the fact that I don't have the talent to make the figures I want, not actually contributing anything positive towards the discussion. If it doesn't fit with a headswap and easy repaint it's beyond my capabilities.

jmurray90720 06-15-2018 07:33 PM

I was looking at the reveals for last years SDCC to get an idea of how much we would see this year and it was as follows

Deadpool wave 1
IW wave 1 (comic based figs)
Black Panther (comic based figs)
Vintage series 1
Spider Man Lizard wave
Apocolypse baf
Defenders boxset
Medusa walgreens exclusive
X Men 3 (Psylocke, Storm and Wolverine)
Maybe more?

So with that I think we will see the following

X Men 4 (a few figures, hopefully a new Emma Frost, Mystique, Beast, Gambit and Nightcrawler)
Spideyverse wave (Julia Carpenter Spider Woman, Doppleganger, Tarantula, Gwen Stacy)
Avengers IW wave 3 (with the last two members of the dark order and some comics based figures including a classic Thor)
Ironheart (ugh......Riri blows but I know its coming)
Walgreens Super Skrull and maybe Dr Doom too
Vintage wave 2
Amazon exclusive 90's X Men boxset (Tiger Stripe Wolverine redeco or even just unmasked, Jim Lee Jean Grey update, Jim Lee Cyclops redeco [leather jacket maybe? Even just changing the blues and yellows would work], Purple/Red Magneto repaint)
BAF Hulk (classic)
Captain Marvel wave (MCU Carol, Mar-Vell, Dark/Classic Ms. Marvel)
