And Leatherhead, I just needs me a Leatherhead.

I'd love a Classics Leatherhead too... I just didn't want to get ahead of myself :D

It won't be a Classics version, but one of the upcoming "modern" Turtle waves is going to have a Leatherhead in it. So he's at least getting some love.

Robogeek28 08-07-2012 09:12 AM

Yeah if I only buy one other figure from the new Turtles line it'll be Leatherhead. I'm still hoping he'll have some good articulation but the non turtle figures in the line aren't exactly filling me with confidence, ah well.

A Classics Leatherhead is pry never gonna happen though as he'd need to be much larger than the Turtles to look like he fits in the line and would probably cost quite a bit more and I highly doubt that Playmates wants to go that route right now.

Still.....dare to dream I say,lol.

Well Well Well. Looki what I found

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TMNT Nickelodeon Secret Sewer Lair Playset NEW 2012 | eBay

Dr Kain 08-07-2012 10:13 AM

I am not impressed with these figures at all. The sculpts look bland (especially on Shredder, April, and Splinter), the weapons are cheap looking and one color, and they are small.

thenameiuse 08-07-2012 11:07 AM

Has anyone been finding the Classic line? My local TRU and Target are loaded with the new animated line, and the TRU has two different vehicles as well as 3 of the sewer play-sets sitting on the shelf for $120, but none of these stores even have pegs for the classic figures.

flipwilson 08-07-2012 11:10 AM

I saw the turtles lair at toys r us today. Mehhhhhh. Cool, but not 129.00 cool.

I saw a full box display of them today.

For some reasons the Classics are just hitting retail over the last week even though the modern versions hit a few weeks ago. TRU is the only store people are finding them in so far though. A couple TRU's by me got them last week, and some are getting them this week,.. so keep checking, they're coming.

Which is a dollar cheaper than Vintage Collection Star Wars figures and about the same price as Marvel Universe and GI Joe. You get an action figure with a lot of weapons, a unique sculpt with no parts reuse, and a cool looking figure. Don't really see the problem with the Turtles. Don't really wanna talk about the villains and other characters...

behindthemask 08-07-2012 11:53 AM

Getting my 4 turtles from Black Dynamite soon enough, can't wait!! I may have to get splinter and shredder.

Exactly.

I think Playmates did a really nice job keeping costs down while producing a quality product. People will bitch about anything.

Found Classics at my TRU today. They had about 3 of each. I got Don and Leo, but poor eye paint prevented my from getting any others. Don has a little lazy eye on the left, and Leo is looking slightly to the left. The Raphs and Mikes just had bad paint errors. White bleeding onto the band, or specks around it. One Raph had a half painted pupil. Check in person before buying if you can.

D00MTR0N 08-07-2012 12:33 PM

if they get around to a classic shredder, that will be awesome.

I had no interest in getting these new figures until I saw detailed pics on this forum; they blew me away! When I picked them up for myself, I was even more impressed! I've mostly gotten rid of my old TMNT figures and buying these meant more random figures to display but they're too cool not to buy! The articulation is great (this is Playmates?!) and the sculpts are dope too! Like Haloid said though, the non-turtle figures could use some work.

Agreed. Like bill barker said, the price is right! For the cost of them and what you get is great.

Agreed but NOT the classic toy one. As much as I liked the figure as a kid, looking at it more as a collector, he was pretty bad. The classic look in the classic line with the same articulation as the turtles. Win

I got my set of Classics from Amazon today. Best figures I've gotten all year. Don't usually take pictures, since I don't have anywhere to take them, but these need to be shown as often as possible.

I think I'm staying away from the classics. Too big and I'm not crazy about the pupils.

I'd been looking at Draegoman for weeks while he was sitting sealed on my shelf and thinking they would all go together. Guess I was right on the money.:D
