Oh, no, I was only answering about Swamp Thing. I have no clue when the other figures come out, nor do I care about them. Then again, I doubt DCC really knows when they are coming out either since they just like to show off lots of stuff that they may or may not release.
|
I wanna follow this line but its been quite a chore with all the wierd release dates...
|
They lost me quick with the upcoming figures and the delays. I quite after 3rd wave. Maybe one day it will come around but it's not looking good right now.

Back to the topic at hand though, I love this line and hope it continues. I've had the Swamp Thing on pre-order since it was announced. Hoping for some good news at Toy Fair. Also waiting on the Wonder Woman which is hopefully coming soon.

My only complaint is how few figures the line gets each year, I know its not a mainstream line like Marvel Legends but it would be nice if they could boost the numbers a bit. |

That said, something I wish people would remember is that DCC is just a small division of DC comics. Not that they should get a free pass for that, but I think some people online can be a tad... overly harsh towards them. |
Being a small division does not excuse them to have only 8 figures come out in an entire year, especially when they showed off 20. Hell, Static Shock hasn't even come out yet and he was revealed back in 2015.
|
I think DCC is trying to do too many things at once. Icons, Designers Series, BTAS and movie figures?

Frankly, they should just cut down to Icons and Animated stuff. They can can stylized versions of characters in their Icons line. |
So, DC have revealed that we will be seeing a DC Icons Super Sons Damian Wayne and Jon Kent:
https://youtu.be/D9JWJnfN9wk?t=3m20s I'll be getting it for Wayne, I don't know much about Jon. |
My god, those have got to be the worst looking Icons DC has ever shown off. What is wrong with Superboy's face? And where is Damien's neck? God I hope DCC fixes these before they come out in 2019.
|
I wouldn't go that far, Superboys face is weird but Damians neck is fine, its just obscured by his cloak clasp.
|
Jon's face/head could use a bit of resculpting and I think his legs look too long (at least I don't recall him being that much taller than Damian), but other than that he looks good. Other than maybe trying to do somethig about the cape obscurring Damian's neck, he looks good.
Looks like it could be a worthwhile set to get. Not that it needs a reason to cost more, but it would be kinda cool to see it include Krypto and Ace. |
These are kind of cool. I like that we are getting a Damien. It also bodes well that they are at least planning new Icons for the future.
Now how far in the future is the big question. |
Id be down to buy those... The comic was really good... If they ever see the light of day, I'm in.
|
Those look terrible. Hopefully early protos.
DCUC Damian is infinitely superior to that one. |

I can't agree, I googled pictures of the DCUC Damian Wayne to compare and it looks awful. Poorly proportioned, pin headed and the head sculpt is ugly as sin. The Icons version is far superior.
|
The DCU one at least has a neck.
|
So does Icons, something doesn't cease to exist when its behind something.
|
The biggest issue with the DCUC Damian imo is that they put Damian's kid head on the body of an adult (an issue shared by the upcoming Multiverse figure). Icons Damian, on the other hand, actually kinda looks like he's a 14yo kid. Some tweaking to the cape/hood and he'd be perfect imo.

Sweet. I passed on the Matteycollector version a few years ago and I was planning on trying to track down the Toys R Us exclusive Multiverse figure that's supposed to be coming out sometime this year but now I'll just get this Icons figure instead. Hopefully since Icons is a smaller scale than DCUC, this new Damian will scale better than the Mattel versions. I think of Damian being very short and thin and the Mattel versions always seemed too tall and too buff to me just like the Kid Flash from the DCUC line. It sucks I'll have to sell the Superboy figure on ebay, but otherwise I'm pretty happy about this reveal.
