I really have to find this guy, even if it looks a little bland. But I do get what Hasbro was going for. Besides I'm glad they did this before that seeker mold disintigrates.

He's getting a smaller mold and new accessories (not sure if it's this wave but what I mentioned was mentioned in one of Hasbro's Q&A sessions)

Got mine! He's cool, if a little loose.
Also, I felt the big gun mode was kinda small and vanilla, so I improved it. Stuff like the Omnidimensional Transcendant Legacy of Hypergalactic Justice Magnum is fun to make up. :D |
Got mine today!
Apologies for the crappiness of the pics - my real cam is on the fritz... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...th/rollar1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...th/rollar2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...th/Rollar3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...th/rollar4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...th/roller5.jpg |
I'm getting the Universe one as a replacement for my current Classics SS. I definitely think the Uni version is better. Very G1 accurate which is always a plus in my book.

Vangelus that last image of the explosion is epic win. Cool pictures too Nerroth! Guys, does the gun mode weigh down the arms of Classics Prime or Movie Prime? I notice in some shots you guys have the gun mounted on Classics Prime, and I heard this is compatible with movie Prime. Did you guys feel like you got your money's worth? It looks like one of those gifts that keeps on giving, it's compatible with 3 different Prime toys, and even by itself can be configured in many ways! I may pick this one up.

By the way, Figma stands work fine:

I think Rollar's well worth the money, even if you don't have all the Primes he can interact with. The packaging is -absolutely superb- and frankly astonishing in quality, given that it's fan-made. The toy is very well-sculpted with some pretty intricate paint-apps and translucent plastic, and for a design based largely on friction joints he's pretty solid. The whole thing feels very professional. Much like City Commander, I believe this level of quality vs the price has really spoiled us in the context of unofficial "garagekit" TF merchandise. If you don't really care about fanmade/garagekit stuff then you'll likely feel a bit ripped off by the price, but if you consider where this piece is coming from then I believe you'll get your money's worth. :) |
