I finally spotted the new X-Men Legends at my local TRU today, and while they had the entire wave, the one that I really wanted (Storm) was painted horribly :(
Also, her left hand was somewhat malformed and not fully inserted into her arm. I'm not sure if it could simply be popped into place, or if there is a more serious QC issue at hand (no pun intended, lol). Either way, the paint was bad enough to discourage me from buying her and finding out for sure.

I sincerely hope that TRU keeps replenishing this wave, and that the single case that most stores have gotten so far aren't the only ones that we ever see.

Her hands are designed to be removable, probably to facilitate the installation of the cape.

Found a bunch of X-Men figures in NYC, minus Storm.

Shart did an SDCC interview with Dwight, and Dwight talks about removing unnecessary articulation....I realize what he meant is removing, toe joints, ankle joints, more recently head disc ball joints, the upper thigh ball joint....WHAT A LAUGHABLE SPIN JOB.

Now to Magneto they removed his wrist hinge. which is insane for any modern figure....

I also think Dwight did not mention, that they seem to also be removing paint....lol, because my Mags, Cyclops, Wolverine are a mess, a horrible mess. But in all seriousness Mags had hope, finally some paint detailing, but the sloppy paint is disgusting.

It seems that action figures are taking a step back and stalling in evolution....they should be getting better, not worse. I keep beating a dead horse, but they are stealing money at this point from me.

All of your posts indicate you are just difficult to please and should probably stop buying Marvel figures. All of the Legends figures I've picked up over the last few weeks (TRU X-Men set, SDCC Thanos set, Agent Venom) have been excellent. When you imply they are getting worse, what are you comparing it to? If you're talking about the Toy Biz Legends or early Hasbro waves, the new stuff blows those out of the water, and I'll take the redone classic versions of Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, and Ms. Marvel coming out soon over any of the original Toy Biz versions.
Really, the only big clunker recently has been the All New X-Men box set, but even that thing was at least a great source of cheap fodder.

It isn't stealing if you're voluntarily handing it over man.

I could not agree more! I'm golf clapping Hasbro and tossing my money at them happily.

You all sicken me with your X-men Legends hauls. I've found nothing...I really want Storm... :(

Spyne98 08-14-2014 07:19 PM

I got an extra Wolverine and Cyclops from my comic store. I'm asking $15 each. I'll have to factor in shipping, but I wanted to offer.
PM if you're interested please :)

BoNKerS 08-14-2014 07:37 PM

I didn't think I would like Drax as much as I do. Great fig!

That is so laughably sad. Obviously the most sought after figure in the line.......

He can join Cosmic Iron Man on the Peg of Shame.

Fortune 08-14-2014 10:47 PM

VashTS yeah man I gotta agree on the fact that maaaybe yo shold stop collecting. Nothing seems to make you happy. I mean come on man if you take a hasbro version of a character and compare them to their toybiz countrpart Hasbro wins most of the time.

I love alll of Hasbros recent stuff and havent had too many problems finding any. So I look forward to starting the hunt or Agent Venom and the Target 3 pack. Seeing as they are exclusives my LCS cant get them on the cheap.

xMostWanted559x 08-14-2014 11:13 PM

Does that wolverine have a mask that folds up?

Kirathis 08-14-2014 11:19 PM

If anyone is missing their Carnage and/or Black Cat from the Spider-Man line and wants to roll the dice, Amazon has them both up for $21 and change right now.

warmachine6 08-15-2014 04:00 AM

Ugh that makes me sick - that Hasbro insists of flooding the market with their core figures that are "big sellers". It's clear that ML is pretty much a collectors line at this point and most collectors already have multiple versions of Wolverine, Cap, Iron Man, Hulk, Spidey and Thor.

I know I'm over generalizing but it's say a good majority of ML purchases are by adult collectors not adults of kids or the kids themselves buying them for kids.

I'd love to see a one or two year moratorium of the big six, but I know that's never going to happen.

It's a shame because that is a solid Wolverine figure. If he had a swappable head he would be a must for many people. I do think they did the right thing by not putting a BAF piece with him though. Eventually they will sell.
