What are the leg joints on that Doom? Easy swap with Universe?

Hey my Wal-mart has that! If I collected these things I'd have no problem finding a Fury, Widow, Hawkeye, or Chitari.

Well they have a thicker ball joint so you may need to use the hot glue gun method OR some green stuff might work - luckily the skirt would hide any weird looking joints....doesnt help with the shoulders though :/

Ive used these Doom arms on a star wars custom before,I just cut them off at the bicep and glued them to the arm/shoulder already on the SW figure.

It was easy to do too as the SHS figures are quite a soft/rubbery plastic.

It was pretty simple to do - and those things were on clearance at about £2 each! lol shame I couldnt find more than two though,it wouldve been cool to have an army of Terminators in that scale

Do you know if the terminator head would just pop right on the regular MU Doom body? Or would it need to be modified?

I was feeling down and a little alone on the interwebs, when I found the Ark, and a group of people whom I thought shared my interest in comics and figures. Most of my RL friends don't really get the hobby so it was nice to have people to talk to about it. Over the last few months the mood here has changed a lot, and not for the best. The thread I joined this forum for, has become cliquish, there's bullying and out and out hostility flying about, I've even found myself wrapped up in it at times and that's not who I am or why I signed up here. What I'm getting at is that I'm going to be taking a break from the Ark for awhile. I'll still check my PMs for those who want to chat and a lot of you have found my page on FB where I can be contacted. Please try to keep in mind this is a forum where people come to talk about toy collecting. It's not the street, you don't have to play hardcore, your not impressing or intimidating anyone. That said, I hope things here get better, and I wish everyone the best.

But....wait...wait...you can't leave here with "699" post. Make it lucky number 700. :) You should stay put VM and just "IGNORE" the haters. Your contribution means a lot to some of us Arkers.

I saw that avengers cube today, fully stocked. about 8 of each character EXCEPT for black widow, so I don't know if they didn't put her out yet or what...

Gah. Might be beyond me then. I certainly appreciate the ones you have though! Brilliant.

Does anyone use any figures that aren't even marvel with their MU figures? I'm curious as to what some of you do. A lot of y'all are really creative with this sort of stuff.

If it seems cliquey I think that just stems from a group of people who post a lot more than most. Not a bad or malicious thing.. just what naturally happens to people of simpilar habits and styles.

Ok.. someone owes me .50 for my dime store psychology.

There goes the girl to guys ratio. ::throws hands::

VM, I can relate to shitty HT stories, and equally awesome TA stories. Maybe when you come back you won't allow common forum varmints to get under your skin. I know it takes practice. I struggle w keeping my mouth shut (or keyboard quiet) in forums for whatever sillyfuck life reason. It's the human condition.

CompleX.

Hope to see you back soon.

Holy...!
Is that yours? It's freakin incredible! I never considered dong that kind of diorama with the monitors- I can print anything at scale in color at work and really should take advantage of that capibility to make something so awesome!

Really a fantastic job!

The only thing I'd add, and it woud be easy, get a table for the room and buy an extra IM figure, chop it into it's component parts (maybe drill out a couple of pieces) and have them laying on the table being worked on- you can make a computer with that armor's specs on the monitor and have some cables leading from the computer to the armor.

I think that would totally rock.

I just got word that my apartment is going condo and I have to be out by halloween so I cant get into new custom stuff, but once I find a new place and set up, I SO want to do something like what you have there!

Taking your same basic idea, you can easily make a kickass Avengers HQ! You just need to find chairs everyone can sit in....

I'm a bad member =3. Many would agree. But I won't be losing sleep over it, neither should you fellow Canuck.

I couldn't loose getting the figure at such a good price. I would let it go for way over a month if necessary. And I know the seller, he is a Mod at Tron-Sector.com and a very arrogant person. I am surprised he even sold to me, so I would not want to bother him any more than I had to.

Jason Abbadon 09-13-2012 06:14 PM

Much love to whoever linked that loose Punisher- I snagged it and he'll become a great SHIELD agent body!
Just take off his removable parts, move the gun holster to his chest, add some straps, remove the skull...and of course, add some Joe head!

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. Freaking Strong Guy was more interesting.

Depends on the writer- Havok kicked ass in War of Kings- but he's really a much better character with the Starjammers than on Earth.

And that mask! Why have a mask wjen the world's seen you give press conferences without one?!?

Another $4 a month I can out towards something worth reading.

bmorr 09-13-2012 06:17 PM

makes me glad im about done with comics. F*** the new costumes too.

Well...that sucks.
You're the reason I check in so often! Hopefully we'll keep our PM's going and hopefully you'll keep posting pics of your amazing customs for everyone to drool over.

I think everyone neeeds a break from forum life every so often- I'm at the point with so much going on that I can really get through the ten new pages this thread alone generates, much less the rest of the internet!

Stick around Rachel, just focus on the big stuff- like customs!
