Yeah, I'll be ordering classic Black Panther soon. Now I just need to figure out who else I'm gonna branch out of mutantdom for. Suggestions?

Gotta be honest: It's kinda tough for me to appreciate these two. But that's what makes trying to figure out what to do with them, photo-wise, so entertaining.

Have fun, all!

They have hinges on the back side so they do swivel and pivot down- but the placement of the backpack means they don't have much room to maneuver- this was about as far as they go without making some changes to where the backpack sits.

That's kinda lame since he spends most of his screen time with them up like so:

The way they did this was one of his bigger cool factors to me so seeing the toy be limited is disappointing. If the set over goes on clearance I'll still consider it.

Bo Ttef 07-16-2018 10:51 PM

Sorry, ESN! I thought you meant his shoulder antenna things- The arms can raise up and come forward. There's not a ton of pivots in there- but enough to get a decent shot like that gif

Well my Target order shipped. Very surprised they let that slide.

Ah, sorry for the mix-up and thanks for a great pic showing off what none of the official pictures showed him as capable of. I suppose it was bound to be clunky communications since we're discussing the mobility of limbs on a fictional backpack.

Spyne98 07-17-2018 10:11 AM

Wow, Yellowjacket looks stunning! Nice pics everyone!

Was messing around with some figures in a box I had, gotta say, this Thing figure still holds up for me even 14 years later (Though this is technically a kitbash of the FF box set Thing and the shorts of the wave 2 Thing)

Bo Ttef 07-17-2018 10:59 AM

yeah- i have no problems with that thing lol... Sure, shoulders a pretty whack- but he's amazing!

Hell yeah!!! You need more space for a Watcher and Galactus though ;)

redfox 07-17-2018 01:47 PM

Kinda glad Amazon bungled me over with their bait-&-snatch $42.99 Dagger, because I just got one TODAY, down the street at GameStop for sooo much cheaper. Thanks, Amazon!!;)

Do ya'll ever think that the designers ever go bitching to their bosses like, "WTF, did you see how they took the picture of (fill in blank), their shit is all fucked up. Everything is all out of place, their gun's upside down, they're half transformed (in case of Transformers)." ect?

Or do you think the designers don't even look at the "official" pictures released or even care?

hasbroherofan 07-17-2018 01:55 PM

Thunder Launch Thing is still my fave, because I like the finger articulation better on that one.

My background's in design, which I believe is relevant information for this question. Because yeah, I'd totally care! Every time I take a pic of one of the ML figs, I even try to make everything juuusst right. I don't want any designer to see my images of their stuff and get all Hulk-like.

Speaking of, here's tonight's pic.

Have fun, all!

Received my Defenders set today, thanks to Prime Day yesterday. Excellent condition. Still in the white factory outer box. I almost felt bad pulling the figures out, but Elektra needed company. There's some discoloration, with notable differences between DD's upper arms and torso. Same with LC. I guess this is from sitting in some hot warehouse for too long? Still, I'm happy to have them, especially at what amounts to less than $12 per fig.

sh002 07-17-2018 04:34 PM

Congrats.

The dirt cheap Tiger Stripe Wolverine plus the Defenders set with the additional discount plus Elektra and Dagger that I got yesterday from Amazon came out to around $12 per figure.

jwyss234 07-17-2018 04:35 PM

The DPCI for the Target exclusive AOU Hulk/Hulkbuster 2 pack is 087 16 0232.

Congrats on the grab! I've been trying to figure out if I like that Daredevil more than the one from the Hobgoblin wave. The price for three additional figures might make that decision easier.

Why do I get the feeling I'm Amazon-ing wrong? :D Congrats on the haul!

Have fun!

Tarooster 07-17-2018 05:29 PM

I've been contemplating signing up for Prime for a month just to get that Defenders pack lol

I do love that one too but I like the ab joint on the older version and the lack of an action feature haha

Totally. Spider-Man Classics and X-Men Classics are often frustrating for that exact reason. Beautifully sculpted and painted figures with a big dumb button or no ab articulation because somebody wanted to put a laser inside them.

Ugh yes. The fact that one of my figures has a vibrating action feature is just wrong. Even if it IS Avalanche.

Isn't the Iron Man 3 3-pack also Target exclusive? I don't even want that one but I'm trying to keep track of everything.
