I know it's an extremely long shot, but I kept missing out on the SDCC Thanos Imperative set (the first time was due to a $600 car repair taking the money, the second time I was notified by a friend too late).

I just want Star-Lord & Gladiator. Can anyone help?

I managed the Infinity Gauntlet set and only want the glove & Nebula. A friend already claimed Death, but I don't want Thanos or Starfox.

I also have Groot Iron Man (no BAF piece), Mandroid pieces (Widow's, Bucky's, Stealth Cap's) & Marvel NOW Cap MIB.

To Bonkers, it's worth it figures are awesome espically archangel psylocke and wolverine kinda has a movie feel to them but nevertheless really epic

Hasbro? More cosmic characters? Please?

Exodus 08-15-2014 03:03 PM

Yes I have that X-Force set as well, the last 3 exclusives actually and by far the X-Force one is still the best.

I am in no way a Wolverine fan but I honestly like that costume and the figure is solid. If it would have had a masked head as well, I would probably have picked him up if I found one. I agree that not putting in a BAF piece was nice. That way people who did not want their billionth Wolverine did not have to buy him for the BAF part.

I completely agree as I really want a full DnA GotG team! Officially jealous of your collection now by the way. It is going to cost me a fortune to pick up the cosmic stuff that is already out. Curse my collecting hiatus!

Lol...I've been at this collecting thing for a very long time. I have also seen many collections here that put mine to shame...I really have high hopes for this GotG 5-pack and that modern Thanos (guess I can retire my out of scale Select Thanos).

Relena Warcraft 08-16-2014 04:26 AM

So do we have an confirmation that the Deadpools from viperskingdom etc are knockoffs and not factory runoff? Mine has a manufacturer stamp...

En Sabah Nerd 08-16-2014 02:58 PM

I was just at a Toys R Us and saw some of the X-men legends. I'm really glad I don't get these, because the Stryfe was plainly open sitting on the shelf only missing the BaF piece. Feckin' scumbags.

All of your posts indicate you are just difficult to please and should probably stop buying Marvel figures. All of the Legends figures I've picked up over the last few weeks (TRU X-Men set, SDCC Thanos set, Agent Venom) have been excellent. When you imply they are getting worse, what are you comparing it to? If you're talking about the Toy Biz Legends or early Hasbro waves, the new stuff blows those out of the water, and I'll take the redone classic versions of Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, and Ms. Marvel coming out soon over any of the original Toy Biz versions.
Really, the only big clunker recently has been the All New X-Men box set, but even that thing was at least a great source of cheap fodder.

It isn't stealing if you're voluntarily handing it over man.

Are you joking? Your legends have been excellent? Only clunker has been the X-Men Boxet? Do you actually open them up? Only clunker is a joke.....and I doubt at this point you own more than a handful. Because what you poster was absolute clueless junk.

The entire X-men Wave has been atrocious. GOTG....uses the new cheap plastic....and people way to forgiving of that NOVA.

I am weighting my options. My local TRU selling Legends for $27....I will never buy it for that price. My limit for me quitting legends permanently is SRP of 22 dollars and they and I are almost there.

Hi, maybe you can try price matching to other retailers?

Maverick 08-17-2014 09:30 AM

Finally found nova today. Once I ship my loot from bbts I can build groot!

Yeah... I have no idea what I'm talking about and only own a handful dude. I'm sure that's the case with other Arkers that feel the same way about your post too. :D Keep spending money on stuff you apparently hate and ranting about it on here; it's doing wonders to level up your credibility as a "toy reviewer".

Yeah the plastic is softer, but not to the point of tearing while opening or being unable to support its own weight. As for Nova, there's nothing to forgive, I'd say it's the best figure of the wave and an all around awesome Legends figure. People aren't too forgiving of the figure, they're appropriately pleased with it. Nobody is forcing you to continue this line, so if you're really this disappointed with it, stop paying for it. That's like being fed steak not cooked to your liking and complaining about it, but then coming back for more every time even though they're not going to get it the way you want.

I agree with everything you said, I think it's time to continue my import toys collection instead, may cost more but it's well worth the price compare to ML.

Vash, you need to start your own rant thread and only post here when you actually "appreciate" something. You know, here in the "appreciation" thread?

It's okay to complain every now and then on an appreciation thread. A figure is short-packed, cancelled, etc. are all reasonable complaints that could be okay for the appreciation thread. It's carrying the torch against the entire line ceaselessly that becomes a tad irritating.

Oh, definitely, I'm cool with and expect the normal frustrations on here, but this guy is also lashing out at anyone that disagrees with him which to me is too far gone.

YOu are actually right, I do complain often. I cannot really help it, not trying to put anyone down...it' jut honesty....but I back up my honesty. I am not trolling or anything, I think it is okay to critical think, and if I DID NOT like legends, why would I bother to be critical.

I am finishing up my Masters, and believe it or not, Legends is my break from work. I enjoy posing and detailing and customizing them.I tell people, it take brains to criticize, but criticizing needs to be backed up. I do notice little things like if figures shoulders are not symmetrical, not anatomically correct(Hyperion), but I cannot help it.

I am not trying to toot my own horn but I realize, the smarter someone is, the more bothered by the little things they are. I was never critical two years ago, but my intelligence for what ever reason began to shoot through the roof.

But you are right, it is an appreciation thread, so I was wrong for not appreciating. But I feel by me being critical I am making people smarter so that is the conflict, I want people to be smarter and not take anything just because it's given and we should accept status quo. But then again it i an appreciation thread.

Missed this post you are right to a certain extent but where you are wrong is, by implying that staying quiet and accepting is fine.

If no one complains and asks questions, change never happens and we will continue down a path where they will give anything and we have no choice but to accept it

You limited yourself as a person by giving yourself two choices buy or don't. That is where your statement and post is wrong...the third choice is debate for change....

Except that Hasbro doesn't come here for ideas and selling points. If they did we'd all be happier, but they don't. All of our complaints fall on deaf ears. There are always an infinite variety of choices, but here in these threads, you either bought something or you didn't. And as a consumer there is only one choice in regard to one product line from only one company: buy or don't.
Feel free to complain about any number of decisions from Hasbro, but they can't change what's already been made. All we can hope is that later figures are more to our liking, or stop buying, unless you plan on getting a job at Hasbro and becoming high enough to take actions about it.

Fortune 08-18-2014 11:33 AM

This guy....
VashTS. Would your name be Daniel by any chance? You remind me of a guy I once knew...

Anyway. I can say I am fairly close to owning every Marvel Legend in existence I also collect DCUC, Play Arts, Hot Toys,Neca, Japanese imports such as Figma, Revoltech, & Figurarts. I am have OCD and an amazing eye for detail. I won't bore you all with me "intelligence" or my IQ score but I just wanted to give everyone a framework for my statement.

Marvel Legends is my benchmark collection in which ALL other toylines are judged. They are an amazing combination of sculpt, paint, AND price point. Hasbro when they first got the line stumbled pretty bad but now I can happily say most taste test challenges Hasbro v Toybiz well hasbro wins.

-Storm v Storm -I say Tie

-Wolverine v Wolverine -Toybiz Takes this one with astonishing and Brown

-Magneto v Magneto -Hasbro easy

-Spiderman v spiderman - I dont have it in hand yet but I think the upcoming hasbro Spidey may dethrone McFarlane

-Cyclops v Cyclops -Rather its brood wave or puck wave Hasbro wins

-Sentry v Sentry -Hasbro easy

-Psylock v Psylock -Hasbro!

-Hulk v Hulk -tie Movie hulk vs Face off hulk is too close to call

-Archangel v Archangel -Hasbro takes this one fairly easily too

-Black Widow v Black Widow -Hasbro has not one but TWO Black widows that surpass the toybiz one

-Iron Man v Iron Man -I think Toybiz takes this one

-Daredevil v Dardevil -This one is suuuuper close I give the edge to Toybiz with the blister packed spiderman classic wave. However Nemesis wave is a fantastic choice too and the yellow variant is waaay better the the classic costume toybiz did

-Thor v Thor -Tie as they both made different Era Thors that were fantastic

-Nick Fury v Nick Fury -cant call this one they are too different I didn't even want to include him

-Ghost Rider v Ghost Rider -Toybiz wins due to lack of hasbro bike

-Black Cat v Black Cat -Hasbro destroyed that Bea Arthur looking wannabe

-Deadpool v Deadpool -Tie both greath in their own right I kiiiinda prefer ML6 but I have too much love for the hasbro one to not call it a tie

-Captain America v Captain America -Toybiz wins with face off

-Carnage v Carnage -Hasbro easy

-Dr. Doom v Dr. Doom -Tie I have argued this one a thousand times and cannot put one above the other Toybiz has more details but I just LOVE the way the cape sits far more naturally on the hasbro

-Invisible Woman v Invisible Woman -hasbro two pack wins this clear cut battle

-Human Torch v Human Torch -Hasbro wins this one with the Ares wave

-Mr. Fantastic v Mr. Fantastic -Hasbro wins with the two pack one

-Thing v Thing -Toybiz with series 2

-Namor v Namor -tie! Mostly because I dislike both

-Silver Surfer v Silver Surfer -Hasbro with the boxed one.

-Jean Grey v Jean Grey -tie!

-Mystique v Mystique -actually give this one to toybiz with my preferred costume and better face

-Iceman v Iceman -Tie! I hate them both buuut if you include the bobby drake Variant Toybiz wins

-Juggernaut v Juggernaut -toybiz duh

-Beast v Beast- hmmm this one is a bit too close to call.... I will give it toooooo Toybiz on this one.

-Cable v Cable -Toybiz is the one I prefer

-Red Skull v Red Skull -Hasbro takes this one. Hasbro takes this one by a landslide when you factor in the cosmic cube

-Baron Zemo v Baron Zemo -Hasbro with ease

-Colossus v Colossus -hasbro wins this one but its more because of the movie design then anything else.

-Hawkeye v hawkeye -toybiz wins for now the upcoming classic Hawkeye could change that

-Black Panther v Black Panther -This one again is a tie.

-Vision v Vision -Hasbro wins again

-Ms. Marvel v Ms Marvel -Hasbro wins here too

-Ultron v Ultron -Hasbro wins this one no contest or debate

-War Machine -Again giving it to hasbro as the movie one has such an amazing look

-Punisher v Punisher -Hasbro wins this one too.

-Elektra v Elektra -Hasbro wins

-Luke Cage v Luke Cage -Hasbro wins

-Beetle v Beetle -Tie

-Electro v Electro -Toybiz wins for their Sinister 6 one

-Green Goblin v Green Goblin -Toybiz due to me hating ultimate and movie goblin

-Symbiote Spider-man v Symbiote Spider-man -Hasbro wins with the red hulk wave

-Doc Ock v Doc Ock -Toybiz wins due to me not enjoying movie desing

-Sandman v Sandman -Toybiz same as above

-Venom v Venom - This one is insanely close but toybiz wins due to the sinister 6 one and the spiderman origins one.

-Toxin v Toxin -tie ....I hate them both

-Loki v Loki -Hasbro wins this one with evil loki from the Thor line and movie Loki

I am sure I am forgetting some but that was all from the top of my head. As you can see Hasbro wins or ties WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more then they lose

ultraman zoffy 08-18-2014 11:37 AM

Nice post, Fortune, although I'm sure he'll still find a way to say you're wrong. Lol

En Sabah Nerd 08-18-2014 11:53 AM

Toybiz never even did a Nova as far as I know, so Hasbro wins Nova. The Scarlet Witch we saw from Hasbro at SDCC easily looks better than the old toybiz legends. I have said that I reserve buying the legends for my favorite characters only, and while Wanda is among my favorites I'm unsure if I'd get the new toy.

In order of purchase:
Carnage
Nova
Rocket Raccoon
Star-Lord
I had a few ToyBiz legends a long time ago, Colossus is the only one I remember, but I focus on 3.75"/4" lines for my Marvel collection.
