man..just everybody enjoy everythang...

I've seen a couple of those types on other websites, and I'm like we still have so many great comic book figures for 2018, and that's okay. We are all getting great figures no matter whether they are comic or MCU. Now I'm waiting on that preorder date to drop so I can get a case of the Black Panther wave 2 and 2 extra Ayo's for my Dora Milaje. Wakanda Forever!

I will admit that I normally fall into that category of “I only buy comics stuff.” However I have to admit the movie stuff is been so good lately that I find myself often picking up movie figures. At the end of the day it really comes down to you collect what you collect and as long as it makes you happy that’s great. I’ll never try to give anybody crab for buying something as long as it makes them happy. And that’s what I really love about this fandom and this website, we all seem to really get along.
Just so everybody is aware, the marvel legends panel is happening today at San Diego. I think it’s at 4:00 San Diego time, so 7:00 NY time. I’m going to be glued to my computer at that time.

kylactus 07-21-2018 07:38 AM

I hope this becomes the norm for MCU figures, I think we’re now getting every character worth note from BP, even villains for once! I’m still a bit confused on the CW BP with bearded Chadwick head? I’m half thinking that head will come with the purple vibranium glow panther and they were just displaying on that body.

Damn it! After watching Shartimus Prime's Psylocke variant comparison I am gonna have to get the purple hair version and do a headswap with the blue costume body... so I can have a blue costume/purple hair version like what he did.

Or you could spend 5 bucks for some purple acrylic, a cheap brush, and some paper towels and dry brush it on yourself. Would save you the headache of the stupid prices that variant is asking for on Ebay right now. :)

That's my plan if my preorder ends up being the black haired one

Penguino 07-21-2018 08:13 AM

I would be keeping the black hair ones in the box since the purple one will end up being more common as the new shipments arrive.

Look at the green head Mysterio everyone didn't want when the white one popped up. Now it's the one thats 80 bucks and scarce while the other is half that.

Just saying the black hair ones are going to end up being the rarer one since they were just from the initial shipments.

Well, then, let's just hope that's the only similarity between Psylocke and Mysterio, otherwise a lot of people are gonna be SOL on finding her

I will say I'm hoping this is it for the MCU stuff. There's not really much MCU stuff I feel like I'm missing after the announcement with this Black Panther (which looks AWESOME to me outside of the two reused BPs). I mean, I'm down for some more Netflix stuff, maybe some more 10th anniversary stuff to round out our MCU villains (I'd really want an Iron Monger more than anything else), but that's about it. And I have no doubt in my mind that they'll at least show a prototype for Shuri.

Outside of that, I hope to see a good chunk, if not, all of the 2019 X-Men wave. Some more F4 stuff, particularly Dr. Doom (Super Skrull is all but confirmed in my mind since he was already in Walgreens' computer systems). I'd also take some classic Avengers and their villains. And we need more Spider-Man villains, hopefully we get a classic Vulture to round out our Sinister Six, though I'd like to see them do a more classic version of Electro as well, since the one we got isn't exactly comic accurate.

I think we'll see a prototype for Professor X in his hoverchair, and I'm hoping that rumored X-Force wave encompasses all eras of X-Force so we can round out our 90s team and our modern X-Force. Would also be a good opportunity to throw some New Mutants in there, because that sword they showed seems to clearly belong to Magik. I'd imagine we see the comic portion of the Captain Marvel wave for next year as well. Hopefully we get Blue Marvel, OG Captain Marvel and a new comic-based Ronan.

That is what I'm saying too. Make it a mix of classic 90's X-Force, Kyle & Yost X-Force and Remender's Uncanny X-Force. I said it before but my ideal wave for this would be Cannonball, Moonstar, Sunspot (classic X-Force), Wolverine, Archangel and BAF Warpath (K&Y X-Force), and Psylocke, and Deadpool (UXF). Although Wolverine and Archangel would cover two eras. This would also mean there are two big name sellers in that, and keeps to their 2 female standards.

Let's hope for the X-Men reveals today!

That’d be great if it was a updated Constrictor! Since the first one looks really bad outside of the head sculpt. But I’m betting it’s whiplash. Either Comic or Mcu I’m leaning to comic one

kylactus 07-21-2018 11:41 AM

Constrictors tenderals are yellow though, I’m thinking eather a comic whiplash. Or, dare I say, NIMROD!

They charge tax plus shipping a single figure comes close to $30 bucks. Retail is always $19.99. I didn't care at this point because it's my birthday weekend so i've been splurging.

Veronica Mars 07-21-2018 12:36 PM

Ugh, I have to work during the panel, I won't get to see the reveals until lunch

But the plus side is that when you do check it they will all be right there for you!

donmeca2020 07-21-2018 01:08 PM

Thought the next panel is at 4pm ?

jmurray90720 07-21-2018 01:39 PM

The whip definitely belongs to Black Cat, no doubt in my mind. Wonder if we'll get Silver Sable as well? Longest 2 and a half hours eveeeeerrrrrr.

I hate that they charge tax on shipping, most other places don't

I actually thought about this... just keeping my black hair/blue costume one MIB, but for some reason I could not figure out and don't want to figure out... the box was kinda slimy. And it is not like I could wash the box without damaging it... so I just opened it.

I'm glad I did though because her blue costume matches so much better with the blue from the costumes of Cyclops and Tiger Stripe Wolverine.

In the end I'm really glad I got her blue costume version instead of the purple costume version and the butterfly mask blocks her hair anyway, so you don't really notice the color of her hair too much. Still will try to hunt for the purple costume/purple hair version though to do the headswap.

Also... I always said I would open my Archangel when I got Psylocke, but yah I chickened out. LOL. Just need Jim Lee Gambit now... can live without Jean Grey.
