The mystery shield they showed in black and white belongs to an alternate earth Steve Rogers named Hydra Supreme.

Ah, I see. Probably another part of the Gamerverse sub-line.

Trivial Psychic 07-21-2018 05:52 PM

Not feeling that new Black Cat head sculpt, but I do like the body they went with for the figure, because it's not that wretched Moonstone mold. I hope it works on the older figure as well. Maybe it will grow on me.

The fur pieces look individually sculpted on the arms as well, so hopefully that helps with the arm articulation.

But...but....my cleavage! Hasbro...what have you done!

jwyss234 07-21-2018 05:55 PM

Marvelousnew is showing the Sentinel

Tomax 07-21-2018 06:01 PM

ohh damn, i just saw gambit just now, must have for me. dont have him in my collection

Black Arbor 07-21-2018 06:04 PM

Wow totally called that being Black Cat's whip haha

Trivial Psychic 07-21-2018 06:19 PM

That Red Goblin is too damn busy. Hard to tell what I'm looking at.

MeLikeJinx 07-21-2018 06:37 PM

Gambit looks legit amazing. I like the new Archangel because he has brighter colors... especially his bright blue face... oh and shiny wings. Xavier is awesome too. How come Mystique is pink and green? Proto colors?

Now I'm thinking the odds of 90's Jean Grey also getting an eventual re-release using a newer female sculpt is pretty high.

Maverick 07-21-2018 06:56 PM

Green and pink lady is a mutant named blink

Veronica Mars 07-21-2018 07:01 PM

Any word on what they're including with Professor X to make it worth the $40 price tag?

Its not red goblin...its mutated sleestack! ;)

SymbiSpidey 07-21-2018 07:04 PM

I'm almost positive the Professor X isn't part of the X-Men wave so so far, we have for the X-Men wave:

Gambit
Skullbuster
Blink

With an unknown BAF. We can add in the Obligatory Wolverine, leaving at least 2 more spots for a total of 6 figures, but every other X-Men wave has been at least a 7 figure assortment so it's a safe assumption that there are 3 more figures left.

Hasbro teased Magneto and Mystique. Quicksilver COULD be the last figure for the wave, or he can be part of the next Avengers wave. They've also brought up Storm and Forge, who could easily be their own 2-pack next year given their romance in the 90s.

The BAF, all they've said is it's going to be "big". That can mean anything from size to popularity. It would be nice to have a Beast BAF with totally unique tooling. It could also be Nimrod or Strong Guy. I'm ruling out a Sentinel just because we're getting one with DofP Wolverine.

I'm gonna say the wave might end up being:

Gambit
Magneto
Mystique
Blink
Skullbuster
Quicksilver
Obligatory Wolverine (don't know what costume they'd pick for him)

BAF could end up being either Beast, Nimrod or Strong Guy.

With Walgreens Exclusive Magik, Legendary Riders Professor X, Gamestop Exclusive Archangel, DofP Wolverine/Sentinel and a possible 90s Storm/Forge 2-pack to round out our X-Men collection for next year, I think that would be a solid offering for X-Men fans.

Tomax 07-21-2018 07:04 PM

Genis-Vell is the best surprise figure so far this SDCC. As unexpected as Death’s Head II was. Looks rad too with the translucent body.

Me too, hopefully with the translucent body like this one, and the original TB one.

I think that's what I heard, but I could be mistaken.

hasbroherofan 07-21-2018 07:37 PM

I'm floored that we STILL haven't seen a Squirrel Girl!

Gamestop and Entertainment Earth.

MeLikeJinx 07-21-2018 07:38 PM

^ Oh good... I thought it was just Entertainment Earth... guess I'll preorder it from Gamestop soon as I can then.

Oh damn. I thought she would look more like the Blink from the Days of Future Past movie.

Archangel 07-21-2018 07:42 PM

I really want to punch myself for paying what I did for the old Archangel figure. MotheF.

MeLikeJinx 07-21-2018 07:49 PM

^ Just buy the new Archangel... then add that to the overall price you paid for the old Archangel... then divide by two. Pretend you bought them together... then suddenly you paid almost half as much as you did for the old Archangel. That's what I do to help me sleep at night. LOL.

One can never have too many Archangels, Archangel.
